  1. Transactions completed. Topic may be closed. Thank you!
  2. Sad scenario. Transfers should preferably be done towards active participants. I could install penalties, though they would be near impossible to determine.
  3. Annex - each and every entry will be made public at the end of this event, unless specifically mentioned otherwise by author - there is a limited number of items available, so the sooner you contact me, the more chances you have at entering
  4. Items are made available to us throughout the game. However, unlike, for example, a regular bucket, which you can fill up time and time again, having only to worry about the bucket’s physical state as degradation kicks in, we instead have to deal with what is known as a "cool-down” period. Unlike a regular pair of dice which can be thrown over and over again until we get bored, ours will suddenly vanish, returning to their point of origin. Why must we wait (or, in some cases, not wait) in order to use an item? Why do certain items return after being used a fixed number of times. The point of this little endeavor is to find a logical explanation to these questions – a realistic explanation in accordance with MD logic. April 2nd – 5th >> Find me (Asthir/Mythrandir) in-game or PM me on the forum to receive one item name/category (available in game) along with its (general) description and technical details, to provide an explanation for. I'll be around the Gazebo of Equilibrium, mainly. Note that items which I don’t consider to have abnormal behavior will not make the subject of this "quest”. Nor will items considered „enchanted”, either by their definitions or abilities, as there are no reality related reference points to make a case. April 6th - 14th >> submit your entries to me, via in-game or forum PM. April 22nd >> results will be announced. Entries will be judged by several people who will remain anonymous. Rewards: 1st place – Morph + Anniversary Aramor + 1 Wiiya Bubble (Rophs) 2nd place – 1 Wish Point + 1 Wiiya Bubble (Rophs) 3rd place – 5 Gold Coins + 1 Wiiya Bubble (Rophs) 1 Wish Point (Nimrodel) to 1st place, if there are 10 or more submissions! If there are less than 10, The WP goes to the author of the entry which judges personally like best! Additional rewards for the authors of entries which will be added as research material. [hr] One more thing: depending on the substance of submitted entries, some of them might become research material for the items in question. The more concise your responses are, the higher the chances of this actually happening. This part is independent of whether you place or not, and might take a long time to finalize.

    LHO rule

Toadspeak is temporary, and quite a minor punishment, in my opinion. I actually never saw it as a punishment, but more of a tease, and I don't see why it should be removed. Chat ban... average punishment? Quite frankly, if it gets removed from them, I'm uncertain who will be around to do it for them; or how often, for that matter. As a side note, if Toadspeak is an LHO power, shouldn't it be available to them only? (meaning, not be able to make spell stones with it)
  7. This little scheme wasn't taken to the extreme :p
  8. That's probably because the Ann. button didn't turn red with this particular Ann. :p Well... at least not as far as I saw... :p

    LHO rule

I'd say that punishments are in order and can be properly applied. LHOs choose to be helpful, but that shouldn't be rewarded with placing them above any rule. For instance: - one single deviation would be considered to have been the result of lack of knowledge, and would be resolved through instruction on the matter - several deviations from what was already discussed would call for a warning - continuous deviations of the above would imply removal of LHO status for a certain amount of time, also leaving the player able to apply again in the future - repetition of the above step would render them unable to apply for the position again - detection of obvious malicious intent would call for the more severe jail/ban As with any other player, they should be able to judge these cases, vote on them, and do so openly, assuring a certain degree of responsibility in this regard.
  10. to judge: form an opinion or conclusion about to pass judgement: give a decision concerning a defendant or legal matter I consider an "authority on rules" to be someone who can identify and enforce rules. This implies passing judgement, not just judging. In light of this, I don't believe that they should be considered an authority on rules, although the tools at their disposal certainly enable them to act as such, to a minor degree (minor punishments); at the most, they should be able to have a say in these matters = to judge. [hr] What Sunfire wrote sums up to what I believe an LHO should stand for. To his list, I would also add "responsibility". Note that this implies transparency, because accountability is lost where anonymity is present.
  11. Indeed. While the description doesn't hint toward the spell being meant to use specific defense rituals, I definitely find this to be a more logical effect.
  12. [log='Spell description from Wish Shop']Guardian Army Spell Allows you to use your army to guard an other character for a limited time. When that character will be attacked, the attacker will fight you instead. Good for roleplay but but also for practical use. It might have unexplored results under special situations. It will grant 4 casts, regenerable every two weeks, or increase maximum cast number by 4 if you allready have the spell. [/log] [log='Present case'] - attacker: Asthir - defender: Antyvas [/log] [log='First problem']The slider has no value; it must be moved before it can be set at 0%. [/log] [log='Second problem']Fight log does not match Wish Shop description. As stated, I'm the attacker = player in the lower half. Antyvas is the defender = player in the top half. As per Wish Shop description, "when that character will be attacked, the attacker will fight you instead". Basically, I should have been attacking the caster's creatures. Instead, I - the attacker - was replaced by the caster. [/log] [log='Third problem']Attacker is switched with defender in the entire log. The numbers are displayed correctly: attacker = 0% loss and defender = 100% loss; however, the creatures and the "Sheath Balance" result in this image belong to Antyvas - I'm looking at the Summary from mixed perspectives: numbers = attacker's perspective; result+creatures = defender's perspective. 14. Is it safe to assume that this should be moved under Bugs?
  15. I would see the sense in skipping its egg steps in a story involving taming, yes. As for RP items... something which would require getting to the nest (cliff climbing) and capturing the bird (a net), or simply luring it out, as Rophs said, with the berries placed under some elaborate trap made of multiple RP items... :P Now... making these items get consumed in the process... that's gonna make it one rare creature. :P
  16. The ability is also described in the post above. The Blind ability. And yes, I was thinking of it slightly damaging the target and applying the ability, instead of weakening its target. Actually, Rophs came up with the resource idea. I only put that into context mixed with the player DNA comment. :p Also, very curious what this might lead to. :)
  17. Story wise: the creature would have went through changes during its migration. This part i stated in the above post. :p Mechanics wise: I quite fancy an alltogether new ability being implemented; something completely new to the fighting system - somewhat unorthodox even, if I may call it that.
  18. I was indeed thinking of higher requirements, but combined with a different form of recruitment, much like Rophs' suggestion, which just sparked the following: - new puzzle, A25 style - to avoid spoilers: puzzle would revolve around mixing player DNA string with A25 tools, making it unique for every account - reward: possibility to recruit new creature As for the creature... had a few thoughts while I was trying to sleep. :P Not about the name/art/description, but about what a bird like that could be used for. - I was thinking of it as having half the stats of a Winderwild - some dwarf version of it, its evolution being hampered by the difficulties of its migration. - Now, even upon taming, the bird would remain partially wild, meaning that there would be a very slight chance that it would attack your own troops. - However, to make up for that wild behavior, remove the aura of the Winderwild and replace it with an ability triggered on damage dealt to creature of equal or lower level. (pecking at their eyes, and stuff like that) - Ability: Blind - Target goes berserk, having a fix X% chance of inflicting friendly damage. Works on "living" targets. Edit 1: I wouldn't give this creature the ability to hit more than one target at a time. :P Edit 2: To add a bit to the DNA string + A25 tools idea - I'm thinking of nightshade, and how it helps you see certain stuff. Playing around with it some more, and somehow involving the DNA string would "reveal" these birds, which were apparently always there, just unseen due to some mutation they went through during their migration.
  19. One could also consider a subspecies of the Winderwild. Think of it this way: creatures are recruited: this leads (at least) me to believe that, in a way, they are tamed. You can add a wild subspecies in the nest. One that's more difficult to "recruit" due to having to "tame" it, first.
  20. Not from a publicly accessible place... :p
  21. Or just post a specific list as the ultimate clarification form :p
  22. If you manage to make an MP3 list... Asthir :p
  23. As the title says, I need 1 to 3 very old Barren Souls / Hollow Warriors, for testing purposes. Duration may range from 1 day to 2 weeks. The creatures must meet the following requirements: - ID range: [42308,42597] - no tokens whatsoever I'm willing to pay for this service. Please post / PM me your offers.
