Lintara reacted to Ungod in Flora of Golemus Golemicarum part I
I wanted to come out with part 2 of MB's flora, but plans are for the conceited.
Glasswort would suggest a plant that looks like glass - translucent and bright. In fact, glasswort takes its name from the use people had for it for centuries or maybe even millennia - as a source of soda ash for glassmaking.
Since it tolerates salt water well, you can often find glasswort near the sea - or in it. Edible and having plenty of salt already, glasswort is also called pickleweed.
Because its leaves are atrophied to fleshy scales and because the two opposite leaves form a sheath around the stem, this herb looks like strange bulky hands coming out of the earth, made of fat lumps joined together.
Usually green, it changes color in autumn, when red mats of glasswort can be seen stretching over kilometres of beach land.
In Golemus, they can be found at Wraith's Wreck or the Ivory Lighthouse.

The blue flowers of chicory bloom on tall stems under the full stare of the sun. Although the young plant's leaves may resemble the dandelion or sow's thisle, the buds and flowers make it
    instantly recognizable.
Used in salads after leaching or boiling, in teas, or even as a drink that is made from its root, chicory is less useful as a food. Contrary to plants that store the carbohydrates as starch, chicory
stores them in the form of inulin, hardly digestible by humans.
Some folks believe chicory can open locked doors. This may be because the ancient name of chicory could signify 'light in the dark'.
In Golemus, it can be found behind harmonious pillars, at Cannon's Crossing, Mt. Kelle'tha and other conspicuous or less conspicuous scenes.

One of the more dangerous - but also useful - plants to have around, Ephedra was used as a stimulant since many millennia ago. Raising blood pressure to high levels, it can cause headaches, insomnia, hyperthermia, arrhythmias and tachycardia - certainly a dangerous plant when the dose is mismanaged.
Epehdra is good at defending itself, and is used to fighting harsh conditions.  It can thrive as high as 4000 m above sea level. In temperate climates, Ephedra usually grows on shores or in sandy soils with plenty of sun.
Its appearance betrays its marine origin, with the photosynthetic stems looking like pointy tentacles rushing out of the earth. Here and there, scale-like leaves form a red sheath around the green stem, and at those 'joints' small inflorescences bloom. The red strobili are fleshy and resemble a berry, making the plant stand out among the scorched grass.
In Golemus, it can be found at the summit of Mt. Kelle'tha, Power's ascent, Drachorn's
    Cave or nearby Fenth's Beach.

After browsing various forums, I decided this is the best one to hold my topic, mostly because it seems Rumi tried to bring some botanical knowledge into MD just as I would (I don't know Rumi, though). This text is not focused on the community garden. However, it's directed at the same kind of people that would get involved in the creation of a garden, hence the choice of place.
Botanical knowledge, I think, is just another layer that can be added to MD, even if the core refers to introspection and exploration of the mind. I think the creation of self has a lot to do with what surrounds us, in ways we cannot even imagine.
I had a little fun trying to illustrate very short descriptions of three plant families that I see present in Marind Bell. I kinda did my best, taking into account I don't illustrate, but if it looks nothing like the subject...try to do better than me
Tjuf was the ancient Egyptian name for the reed's relative, the papyrus. The name still lives in the Balkans of today, though it refers to the  common reed - also named rush. A lover of wetlands, the rush colonizes large areas with...haste.
The reed's flowering spikes are iconic and impossible to forget, as well as the rustling leaves of reeds. They are  hairless, tall and straight, and were found useful for many, many things.  Thatched roofs, rafts or boats, sandals, mats, garments and even rope or paper - the reed  can be turned into any of these.
It can also be harvested for its starchy rhizomes and tender shoots, or its  copious pollen. The rhizomes can be made into floor, cooked or even eaten raw, just like the shoots. Many a swamp has been cleaned by them - so make sure where you get them from.
In Marind Bell, the reed can be found surrounding the Angien Lake like a ring.

The mallows trace their name back to the Egyptian glory of more than ten thousands years ago, when they were called, just as today, Moloch. Moloch, malva, or the mallow  has an axillary inflorescence breaching out of a large flower that comes in shades of blue and violet, red and pink, yellow and white.
Many species of mallow exist, but there's something they have in common - individuals  can change their gender. Although starting as males, they can turn into females when the need arises.
Many mallows are eaten as leaf vegetables, either cooked or raw - buds and flowers, too. Even the unripe fruitlets  can be eaten. After thousands of years, the Molokheyia dish of Egypt is still cooked the same simple way: with mallow leaves, garlic, spices and, if possible, meat.
The leaves are demulcent and can be chewed to sooth coughs or sore throats. As a  soothing agent, it relieves minor pain and membrane inflammation; some prepare the leaves for internal use. The syrup made is used to treat inflammation of the digestive and urinary systems.
In Marind Bell, there are molochs everywhere - behind marble stairs, in shaded alleys
or the nearby doors of the Shop or the Keep.

The star plant - is the latin name given to the genus this herb belongs to, whose flower  resembles a star. What distinguishes Stellaria's flower from others is the way its petals and sepals
alternate so you don't know which is which. Both number 5 and look the same.
Stellaria prefers places with lots of water and shade, but it tolerates sun as well. It germinates in autumn or late winter, to form large mats of foliage in spring. Stellaria is a hardy plant.
The tender leaves, buds and flowers can be eaten raw - with moderation. Like other edible plants such as nettle, it has a high content of minerals, particularly iron and potassium, but also toxins like oxalates and saponins.
You're likely to miss it when passing in a hurry. When resting, the small white flowers  on long stems, with contrasting yellow and red stamens, catch your eye inadvertently.
In Marind Bell, it is found in places like Sage's Keep or Wind's Sanctuary.

Thump! went the tomes on the librarian's desk. Behind them, observed the librarian, was a weary woman's glance.
"No good?" A brief shake of her head. The nameless librarian adjusted his pince-nez frames and scribbled in the return-log:
    Returned:
An Exhaustive Guide to Remembering Things You Never Knew
Memories and Where to Find Them
Mastering "Mastering The Void" - An Annotated Study Guide
"You know, the Lore Manor and the Archives aren't the only places to find books in the realm; each day, it seems, the shelves of the House of Tainted Times empty just that much more..."
Aia placed a silver coin on the librarian's desk; although she hadn't found what she needed, her next destination was clear.
    ______________________________________________________________
The book-laden bonfire burned at the Way of Cleansing, as it had for many years. The unholy commune chanted tirelessly before adding another worn codex to the bonfire, and Aia could just make out the chants of the heathens. Whispering under her breath, her form faded, turning transparent, and then invisible. Looking down at the sandy imprints of her feet, she slowly flittered over to the fire; the rising, swirling winds making her flight ever so turbulent. There had to be another way, thought Aia, as she deftly flew back.

This quest is about untruths, or theories that could be untrue enough that they could be burned as heresy. Of course, Mur himself were also ascribed the title Heretic, so mayhap, truths, untruths, and all things betwixt may qualify.

To enter this quest, simply reply to this thread with thine entry - a brief paragraph which should explain something which doth exist within the realm. It need not be based in truth; indeed, I should like to hear of wonderful theories of sorts without any bearing in reality; humour were also encouraged. As with other recent forum-quests, points shall be given based on forum-votes - upvotes and likes shall count as a single positive vote; however, downvotes shall also count as a positive vote (such that a post with two upvotes and two downvotes shall score 4 four points.)
Votes shall be the singular measure by which any submission is scored; if there were a submission which should tickle of thy fancy, I would encourage thee to vote upon it!

Votes from accounts registered on the forum after the time of this post shall be excluded from all counts.

An example of the kinds of hearsays and heresies that would suit this quest:

Entries are presently open, and shall close at the close of the Awesome Autumn Adventuring season. Rewards shall be as follows:

    1. If any single post receives fifteen or more votes (positive or negative), then the post with the highest number of votes at the time of closing shall receive a Wind Drachorn (limit 1).
    2. If any single post receives twenty or more votes (positive or negative), then the writer of that post will receive an unnamed, new premium creature (no limit).
    3. If any single post receives ten or more votes (positive or negative), then the writer of that post will receive a 15th Anniversary Barren Soul (limit of 5).
    4. Each post may only qualify for one prize under the conditions described in 1-3, and to qualify for a prize, one must fill in the corresponding quest-survey, which will be provided via PM to all those who enter.

One may enter this as many times as they wish, and each post shall be scored based on votes, however, please limit each post to one theory, such that each theory should have its own post.

Lintara reacted to Esmaralda in Alliances and Guilds backdoors
I don't like the idea of folks being able to join an alliance only to disband it, or kick folks out (I'm sure there are folks that would love the idea just for bragging rights).
But i am ok with allowing a way to join some alliances, especially dead ones as a way to resurrect it. Perhaps there can be specific land designated alliances that anyone can try to join (available in each land). So maybe the woodcutters guild in Loreroot, but not the CoE, which is more of an RP alliance? Or the water dowsers guild in MB, but not the Knights of Bell as again that seems to be more of an RP alliance to defend a land, so folks who are not really into MB shouldn't just be able to join and leave as they please.
My big concern is to prevent a few folks going around joining everything and causing havok because they can. Some folks have a lot of loyalty build up from over the years, so if every alliance is fair game, they could simply join everyone, become the leader by default and disband it. People have quit in the past over folks disbanding alliances and with such a small player base, i'd rather not see that again.

The Town Crier is okay as is, however, it could also be used for is announcing new additions to the in-game Quests section (once that one is finished) or the start of events like MD Christmas season, MD anniversary, or Heads/Torch contest, should those ever return.

Lintara reacted to Steno in Of MindPowers and their Transitions
    Hello all!
@Ungod and I have had several discussions of late concerning role-play and how one makes changes to their role/tag/self within MagicDuel itself.
(For reference you can look at this topic to see what I mean. I think everyone should read part of this log as it is informative and is the breeding ground for the discussion that follows in this post)

All that to say, Ungod had an amazing suggestion. What if there was a hidden clickie in the world of MD that only appeared if a player had 90%(or more) of wins and/or 90% (or more) of the needed to move up a MindPower (for both MP4 and MP5-could even be done if you have 9 or more adepts for MP6 imho). Once you met the criteria, this hidden clickie would then become visible to you, just to you. When you clicked this clickie, it would have a message about how you were close to ascending.
You could choose if you wanted the world to know about it or not. If you clicked that you DID NOT,nothing would happen. If you clicked that you DID want something to happen then the clickie would change that scene (haven't thought of a way to turn it off yet) so EVERYONE could see it.
    Imagine this:
*Note: I also think that once players realize that the flowers are blooming because of them, it will foster a desire to utilize RP in that moment, which is something I believe is one of MD's greatest strengths.
Please comment away. This would require of some coding to generate the if-then statements for the thresholds as well as some other particulars that I don't know enough to explain. However, this is a truly fantastic idea (in my opinion) I am merely writing it up for Ungod.

Lintara reacted to Aelis in The Sunny Bedroom and its Key Holders
Back in Year 4, the seeds sprouted into the East gate. Roughly four months later, Elthen Airis, one of the first inhabitants of the Tribunal lands, had settled in the Sunny Bedroom to start working on his private detective cases. Back then, one could only walk up to the Temple, with the rest of the locations being revealed later on the occasion of the 6th Birthday. This lack of other similar scenes at that point might help us understand why he picked that exact place instead of some other room.

    Elthen Airis, Private Detective

Shortly thereafter, in the beginning of Year 5, The Sunny Bedroom was made private as a reaction to a sequence of controversial events, and Elthen was assigned to become its first key holder. Interestingly, the Sunny Bedroom key was the first usable inventory item in the realm.
Elthen’s role did not last long, though, for the other realm summoned him and his absence called for a new keeper. People suggested potential candidates and those names were put to a vote. After a very close election, Miq was chosen to become the next key holder or Concierge, a title/tag that he would help popularize throughout his almost 5 years of service. As a reward for his hard work, he has earned the send to checkers hall spell.

    Miq the Concierge
After a long period of performing his duties as Concierge while also working on other roles, Miq decided to step down and set up another election for the next keeper. This time, MRF was voted to receive the official items and spell. It is worth noting that, during the election, an update made it so that earfocus and acousticremains would no longer work inside the Sunny Bedroom.

    MRF

At some point, MRF decided to focus on other activities and handed the role to Syrian, the current key holder. As a realm-shaper, she’s been in charge of making interesting upgrades to the Sunny Bedroom. In addition, the Sunny Bedroom has recently been the first scene to have its privacy enhanced by the new Protected Chat setting.

    Syrian

This brings us to the present. The Sunny Bedroom has been the first “unique feature” of the Tribunal and it certainly plays an important role in the history of the East. One cannot help but wonder what kind of secrets have been shared in this mysterious room during all these years.

I don't know I would finish this quest.
But a flash idea happened to strike me to finish this: Noodle of Dark MaGoHi
The ingredients are all sweet, sore and crunchy. It's the main flavor of the dish.  Usually it's eaten with ice cubes and  A LOT of peppers. So it's super chili while super cold, just like MaGoHi.
    1. Preparation:
     - noodle made from black wheat (buckwheat, it's dark). soak it in water.
     - chopped lettuce, sliced cucumber and tomato, an duck egg.
     - chili oil. we use it very often. Just pour the hot oil to smashed peppers. mix the oil with sauce made from vinegar, sugar and a little soy sauce.
     - I planned to put some slices of apple, pear and beef. But they were ran out of stock.

    2. Cook:
     - put the noodle into boiled water for just 1 min. not too long or it would be too soft.

    3. Finalize:
     - put the noodle into cold water several times.
     - mix the noodle with sauce and vegetable. cut the egg into 2 halves and put them into a MaGoHi shape.

     - now you could add some ice, pepper or raisin, whatever you like to make it better looking and more flavor.

This is called Toad in the Hole, with chips, Cauliflower cheese and gravy.
Its super healthy so the bacon knight will like it.

First you cook up some batter and place the sausages inside it to cook.
While thats doing you put the chips on, and create a white/cheese sauce. Putting the cauliflower and that into a pot you can sprinkle more cheese onto the top if you wish.
Once served you pour a rather obscene amount of gravy onto all of it.

Due to lack of skills and even less experience I chose something simple yet delicious - pieczonki ????
    Ingredients:
couple carrots twice as many potatoes one beetroot 3 onions couple sausages solid piece of bacon bit of lard (optional) salt & pepper cabbage leaves (optional) Step 1
Chop and cut everything into thin slices.

    Step 2
Note: I'm using here iron cast pot due to special cooking method, but plain heat resistant pot and oven are just fine
Now place ingredients into pot in following layers. First potatoes, onions, beets, bacon & sausages, salt & pepper and optionally small piece of lard (usually when lean meat used). Afterwards repeat until either you don't have enough ingredients or enough place in pot ????

    Step 3
Once you finished with stacking layers put on top cabbage leafs (just under pot cover) or thin aluminum foil, and cover everything up. My pot has screws because you know MAG is hungry so more layers = better????

    Step 4
Rather simple step prepare heat source - either oven (180 degrees C) or plain bonfire.

Trick here is to put pot on embers(?) not open fire.

Usually it takes 1:15 hours to cook, but believe me you'll smell when they're ready ????
    Step 5 - hardest one
    Wait until ready
    Step 6
Once taken out of the oven or bonfire, mix contents thoroughly.

    Step 7
    Enjoy! Smacznego

Aia felt the Phurba's engraved grip in her hands before she fell forward and plunged the sharp end into the startled Aelis's chest; his dying body releasing its grasp on a half full flask, shattering it on the floor; Aelis's exsanguinating form cushioned much of her fall.
"Murder! Aia murdered Aelis!" screamed the Town Crier; echoes of his voice filled every corner of the realm.
Aia released the Phurba and slumped to the ground, the shattered glass cutting into her skin; the flask's contents quickly evaporating from the ground.
    ------
    "Chewett, no!"
Surrounded by very strong NPCs, Aia's voice faltered. Their arms grasped her own, and she ceased her struggles.
"I am sorry, friend, but I am sworn to protect the citizens of the East." Chewett executed his code, and Aia found herself devoid of the A25 Tools.
"Place her in the solitary cell; I am sure some softening up will bring us some answers."
    ------
Aia woke up on the cold, hard floor of the solitary confinement cell. Making a painful, nondescript sound, she slowly sat herself up, pressing her hands against the moist grime of the cell's unmaintained floor. The warm sensation of blood ran down her nose and onto her dress; she spluttered and retched onto the floor beside; immediately regretting this as an intense ache throbbed through her temples; feeling faint, she lay back down on the hard floor. A brief attempt to recall recent events quickly turned into an exhausted return to the land of dreams.
    ------
"She is very dangerous," declared the Grand Duke. "I have seen what power can do, and it seems she is no different; I will have to face her myself. For now, if you see her, you are not to approach; notify me at once."
Chewett began to weave some code. Although it was very makeshift, he knew Aia's Mur-given powers would be no match for this, or for the NPCs at Chewett's beck and call.
    ------
Aia awoke to the rays of sunlight blaring through the bars of the cell. Her eyes snapped open to the sight of a small wooden chest underneath the prison seat. Reaching slowly for it, she felt the painful weight of a very heavy, spiked boot crushing her hand; she screamed in agony. A hand reached down to the wooden chest and opened it before her eyes; Aia closed her eyes again as searing light from the chest emanated through the room; she felt the weight of the boot ease.
She opened her eyes again, but she saw nothing but the bright yellow-green of afterimages burned into her retinas. She blinked, and blinked again; the darkness of the room slowly returned.
Clutching at her wrist with her other hand, she sat up and turned to face the slightly ajar cell door and a pile of ex-prison-guard's clothing. She could just barely make out the scratchings on the wall - "I am Mur..." "I am Marind..."
Aia carefully pulled the door open; the resonant creak echoing loudly down the corridor.
    ------
A dense white haze obscured the doors of the East Laboratory, and a laboratory coat-clad Aelis emerged from a barely visible wooden door. Waving the fumes away with one hand, Aelis sat down in the courtyard, tightly holding the conical flask in the other hand. Aelis pulled out a small, well worn notepad from his coat-pocket, and flipped to the final page, tearing out a sheet of paper; rapidly scribbling just a few words - "Need clicky, please attend".
He folded it in half, wrote "Aia" on it, and passed it to his delivery-winderwild. He flipped back several pages, and began to write again, this time more carefully, "Luck as a resource..."
    ------
Aia felt the remnants of the clear distilled fluid absorb into the cuts on her skin.
Aia looked back toward the contraption. Should it fall into the wrong hands, her misfortune could become widespread; Aia hastily enchanted a small chest-clicky and placed the button on the inside of the box, just behind the latch, before putting the remaining parts of the contraption within. Sealing the box with a trap-enchantment, she placed it into her inventory. Magic would do where science would fail; but Aelis was always good at blurring the line between the two.
    ------
Aia flittered into the Eastern Laboratory to the sight of a very excited Aelis, who waved her into the now very clear reception. "Look at this!"
Aelis opened his notepad to a very ornately drawn diagram. "Luck as a resource - by Aelis" read the title, and an intricate maze of shapes, arrows and text followed below, around, and even above. Aia peered at the notepad blankly. It was little wonder that Mur had given Aelis a position in the coveted Soldiers of the Inner Sun.
"Aelis, I am indeed joyous for thy discovery, but mine intellect cannot comprehend of thy discovery."
"Perhaps it would be better if I showed you?" Aia nodded once, and followed Aelis deeper into the Laboratory, each footstep squeaking, on the floor glistening with the shine of having recently been mopped.
"Now, this is a very controlled environment, and you have to trust me on this; I will extract your luck, but I will give you something dear in return so that you will have your luck back." Aelis reached into his inventory and carefully passed the Phurba to Aia.
"Now, just stand here..." Aelis pointed to an X on the ground. "You might feel a bit unpleasant, but that won't last long."
Aelis wheeled what could only be described as a clunky sounding box into the room. On one side was a small tap; on the other, a large funnel; reminiscent of a gramophone's horn from the other-realm.
Aelis pointed the funnel at Aia and placed a small flask under the tap.
"Okay, now, just stand very still." Aelis pressed a very inconspicuous looking red button on the side of the box, and stepped quickly out of the room.
Aia stared at the contraption as the humming sound slowly became a humming and dripping sound and then a pouring sound, and then back to a humming sound again.
Aelis walked back in and lightly tapped the button again, and the hum ceased.
"Stay there - do not move."
Aelis procured a silver coin, emblazoned with a picture of Mur on it, and walked to stand in front of Aia.
    "Aia, heads or tails?"
    Aia raised her eyebrow.
    "Heads, I suppose."
Aelis flipped the coin with a practiced thumb motion, then caught it, turning it over on the back of his hand.
    "Tails. Okay, again!"
    "Tails, then."
    "Heads. Okay, again!"
    "Tails again."
    "Heads. See?"
Aelis procured a handful of silver coins - counting them - six, seven, eight, nine - and pulled up a table, placing a felt sheet upon it.
    "Okay, heads or tails?"
    "Heads, then."
Aia stared in disbelief as nine silver coins landed tails-up on the table.
"I think thine discovery were quite evident, Aelis; but I should like my luck back now."
Aia produced the Phurba from her inventory in anticipation of Aelis, who was already retrieving the now half-full flask from the other side of the contraption.

Baked Winderwild Breasts with Herb-Fillings and Grasan Strips
    * * *

    Abstract:
This simple to make yet astoundingly delicious dish is sure to make your tummy filled with love and joy that you will forget who you are by the time you finished devouring this food. You will have a newfound realization that you are special and will never look back to your old, dull, non-delicious life. Existence will never be the same for you and whoever you dine with.
    Let's begin!

    Essentials:
4 boneless and skinless Winderwild breasts (The taste is better if the bird suffered tremendously before death)
    Freshly ground black Lorerootian pepper
Rock salt - ground and without iodine
    1/3 cup of Pub whiskey
4 oz. lactating Grasan cream cheese, softened
    1/2 cup herbs, loosely minced
1/3 cup Bushy fruit heart, chopped
1 cup shredded resin cheese, divided into 2
A pinch from hell of dried spicy pickle
4 Grasan belly strips, divided into 4 short strips

Cooking time: Approximately 60 minutes in total

    Note:
Prepare the ingredients like a champ, take time to be a perfectionist with a methodical approach like in the picture above. Pre-heat the cremation chamber to 400 F and prepare a baking tray by lining it with foil. Doing this preparation will save you time instead of going back and forth. Also, clean as you go and it will make your life easier than the previous LHO's who just wanted to help out people.

    Procedure:
I After you've prepared the ingredients, start off with cutting 6 slits across every Winderwild breasts but not too deep, not too shallow either, just enough so you can put filling in them. After that, season with ground salt and freshly ground black LR pepper.

II After that, get a nice medium-sized container to mix the herbs, half of shredded resin cheese, bushies heart, Grasan cream cheese, ground rock salt and black LR pepper, and a pinch from hell of dried spicy pickle.

Grasan cream cheese should be softened first, that means that you should probably have it mashed first because the other ingredients will stick to it and you will have a hard time mixing them all together, I dunno, depends on where you buy the cream cheese. I recommend getting it from Arnold, the guy in Willow's Shop, they're usually mix-ready)
Be filthy and use your hands.

III Stuff this catastrophe into the Winderwild breasts slits - fondle that mother and use your fingers filthyly, alternating it with bacon for each slits. Like dis:

Beautiful! Now sprinkle the remaining half of the shredded resin cheese on top of these breasts.

IV Excellent. By this time, your crematorium is probably smoking already, time to put this dish in it and cremate!

V Get your cup of Pub whiskey and sip. Just because.

VI After about 30-35 minutes, take them out. Make sure it's cooked through, we don't want you to get infected with Salmonella, we're not done with Covid yet so check. A good rule of thumb is if it's cooked.

VII Enjoy and have fun with your newfound knowledge about everything in the Universe.

Also, it's become apparent to me that I have no discernible style. Merely the style of the artist whose work I last consumed. I like having avatars with their backs turned. They feel more natural than trying to draw faces. Also, I'm most proud of the texture on his pants, it actually showed up!

I will not stand idle while my brothers suffer!
Now, I'm not a particularly skilled cook, so I can't do anything fancy, but how about I show you a way of cooking meat? (sry, I couldn't do it MD-themed)
    What you need is:
    a pan
    frying oil
    meat
    an onion/garlic
    tomato sauce
    salt&pepper
You start off by grabbing a nice piece of (pork) meat and cut it like so:

Sprinkle some salt and pepper and let it sink in while you are finely chopping the onion or garlic cloves. Heat the oil, drop the onion/garlic and let it sink in for 20 secs, then drop the meat in the pan. Stir a couple of times in the first 4-5 minutes, adding more salt and pepper. Once done, cover with lid and let it boil/fry for about 15 minutes.
Come back and assess the situation. If you appreciate it would only need 5-10 minutes to be done, it's time to drop the secret ingredient:

Mix it well (uniformly) with the meat; it will give it a nice orange hue and add some sourness to the taste (not too much, though). You don't need to put much of the dry tomato sauce. You then let it fry in that until it's ready. Add more spices, if you want to (for example, I add more garlic - this time it will only get steamed a little under the lid).
The end result is something like this:

I know what some of you might be saying - this is just a cheap beginning-of-a-sauce. It's not a sauce, and it's not trying to be one. A sauce is much richer and tastier; this is a way of cooking meat that I'd call a 'diet' way. First off, you can really watch how much meat you are eating this way; and since it's not particularly tasty, you won't crave for more. I also found it to be useful as a 'filler' in all kinds of food combinations - just add a bit of proteins to whatever you have. You've got staple cereals - no problem; just salad? - no problem; mushrooms or beans? - goes well with it.
If you like how that sounds, you can give it a try. Enjoy!

    Remember Slotsh
    http://magicduel.invisionzone.com/topic/17432-the-flying-barrel/?
Well, he got in trouble again. As we all know, strange ladies lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a monarchy system...but they do exist. Slotsh prayed night and day in front of the Angien Lake for something. I don't know what that something was, but one day a 'thing' was washed ashore. It's a...a...a magical thing, as Slotsh found out. This object cannot be approached recklessly, as it bites - from the front, from the rear, and stabs with its horns from the middle. The bite is strong enough to break iron. Pushing it away is also a no go, because it apparently weighs at least a TON. Now if the new king finds out what happened, Slotsh is in for it.
Your task is to aid the poor fool, by providing a mechanical solution. Remember, he is extremely weak at magic, but he has an impressive stash of junk - parts, metal scraps, wood, stone etc Just make sure that thing can be either thrown back into the lake, or hidden somewhere outside Marind Bell.
Describe your idea, draw it (adding the year and MD), attach it to your post and send it to me (or post in this thread). You have to take into account the weight of the thing, the difficulty of approaching it and, if you plan on building something megalithic, where the materials can be found. Slosth has a small allowance, after all.
    This is 'the thing':
Now, you have 2 weeks to end your entry, but it's gonna be worth it: a WP for best entry (if it meets quality check), anniversary barrens (if more participate, more will be distributed), spellstones (such as acousticremains), LR archers and maybe a drach...well, there are plenty of rewards, but it all depends on how many participate and how good your solutions are.
    Help Slotsh!
