Age matters for combat, some tokens are dependent on age.

I do use it, it's handy for some things. It would be much more useful mechanics wise if MD didn't exercise tight leash on spoilers. Finding out about roles ain't much helpful since it's outdated. However wikia is nice reference for basic stuff, but that's where it ends. Wikia should be unrestrained knowledge hub, due to spoilers policy that's impossible.
-
I know most of those things, but I list them for sake of list. Who's authority for: wikia who to turn to initiate quest voting feedback (or does it come with that Q doc?) how to initiate HC who grants WP codes how to buy credit codes trials bugs art in general, not just avatars, rather misc artwork for game, item artworks alt problems; false positives account problems; be it account access or strange problems as in something got messed with account due to some weird glitch or during maintenance wookie script went awry and deleted your drach or your papers went poof shop problems disputes and ingame problems between players donations forums rule clarification legal inquiries custom requests event organizing high-tier research problems with promotional items be they virtual such as partner voting site rewards or drachorn mugs development help review for homepage new land related things that are wanted to be added If we can craft items via Council does that also mean we can inquire about other personal request such as, one wants XYZ spell document and is asking what he needs to do to obtain it. What about higher level research access? What about <insert any of commonly inaccessible things>? Just some of things I came up from back of my head, there are probably many more things which I can't think off.

You're quite right, I apologize.

No, it's mind game as well as playing tag combined with combat :D nice mix. I guess only fossils can clarify how exactly it works. Alternative is to go to GG and play with Aramors. They are MP2 so all levels can attack them, watch logs, you need to fight them both as MP5 and as MP3 and then compare the logs and see THEIR fight outcome not just yours. It could be helpful, but it still could be different from MP3 vs MP4/5 fights.

BFH for advertising partnerships, helping in promotions, free credit problems. TKs for sponsorships of rewards. Innocence for writer access to MD-Archives site.

Well I actually had idea that this list would be of drop down nature like many FAQs are and it would detail whole thing listing even requirements on what to send for X thing person wants. Anyway it doesn't matter that much to me how it's done as long as people are informed it matters not to me how it's done. Updated, easily available and comprehend-able are most important traits, if you can shorten the list by making it statements that clearly imply all matters related to it, then do it. :) Nobody will question method as long as it does what it should.

I'm personally getting some ideas, however I can't be sure because I don't know how will HC work with MP3 fighting higher level, will both win and victory outcome exist for MP3 fight? If yes, then you have chance I think, still you would be at big disadvantage indeed. Logically rules of attacker are applied I think (no clue just speculation) in that case you have chance in defense and while attack you need to win regardless of % since then your rules would apply so you are basically countering their defenses that are meant to give empty win to attacker, since every MP3 win is actually victory. Again I'm just speculating by my own logic, I have no experience about this contests. I think that serious problem for you is no lifesteal on MP3 unless *SPOILER*.

As Asthir asked, does null stats mean that personal VE isn't applied inside combat? DD, I'm confident that one can outplay freezes on this equal ground. Remember the whole point around HC is not to win a fight, it's to gain Victory and prevent opponent from getting it. I can play around with you whole day and you can win every single fight against my defense yet you will only take single head each time.

Council knows what other people do and list them as primary contact for that X sort of thing, council will takeover that case if that said person forwards it back to council. Same as in justice department IRL, smaller courts deal with small things but sometimes case gets forwarded to higher level court. Yes council needs to specifically list all that everything, especially the things only they can do, while listing other people who are in charge of those other things, such as avatars. This is called delegation of authority. People want to know everything, with emphasis on things that only said body and nobody else can do or is in charge of doing. For instance, basic payment stuff, item crafting, account fixes, disputes, etc.

First off, Azkhael didn't come up with it, he just summed it up and split it into coherent separate topic, something that Archivists do. Idea is from Burns. Also all this isn't meant to jump into development even if Chew agrees to all it, A25 has precedence, this needs more input and ideas and is not limited to current situation in which MD found itself at the moment, with low players and finances. This solutions and fixes talked in this and many other related topics MIGHT sit and serve as reference in future when MD will be capable to do this changes. There is no purpose in thinking everything for exact this moment, rather on what could be applied to fix current problems when it would be possible. Another note, as I said earlier there are other topic addressing combat problems, some problems are same, you for example talk about abilities change which we talked in other topic but fall under this same problem of ultimate ritual. This is just one of many topics discussing of possible way to fix that or other problem(s). Archers actually hit quite hard, 3 bps and heretic hit as hard as 2 reins and gg. Sharps and LR archer hit as much or probably even more (same with Imperials) than drachs, difference is they don't have freezes/antifreezes and no target all. How does it matter how rare they were supposed to be or how common are they now? Change of rarity as a economic problem in itself, not a mechanics problem. Even if they are still rare, that doesn't make them counter-able. BTW No one, if you consider this a waste of time then don't post, you decide yourself if you want to waste time or not, what is the point in blaming others for your own decision to continually post? If you want to make your opinion you can just make short post, write that you disagree and short explanation. Azkhael will sum it all up in the end where it will be summed who suggested what, who disagreed and so on. This approach enables pinpointing the more important problem and better fix. We are in beginning stage and you are rebeling as if this is already on production line, chill down man, give youself some slack It's safe to say that this won't move to production line any time soon. Acksham did very good explanation himself above. It's other way around, and people actually stated that they went to East doing that quest with main motivator to see the land rather than to earn Drach. Moreover, No one, maybe quests in past were with essays and all that silly stuff, but this last quest with very low attendees was quite simple and easy, you just had to go for a walk in the east with quest-maker and answer in rhyme, something you can just google in 2 seconds. Quest required patience for walking but otherwise was easier than tutorial quests (regardless of dev or player made). Honestly by reading your posts, you (No one) either CONTINUOUSLY misinterpret what was said before or you don't read it fully or you don't comprehend the full picture or you fail to connect what is being addressed in which topic or you simply forget, or all of it. This is from my view of how you raise same questions and make same statements that were already discussed with you elsewhere or before, effectively making all of us repeat ourselves and spinning in circle.

This is a big problem if council doesn't know their own jurisdiction. If they do then there it is, that's what needs to be listed. All stuff that they can and are supposed to do with tools they have, as well as all other more intangible things that Mur entrusted them such as revising rules. I don't see why it would be problem to update such list if council does it themselves at the moment some change is made, for example new feature is out and council has some role about it or change in rule happened. It's like being forum mod, you moderate while you read forum, you don't moderate after you read it all and then relaxed for two days, you do it instantly. However in here we have distribution problem, Voice of Council would be needed again who would publish this list changes. This sort of approach would be fuss and I consider it a must that Council has editing ability of Rule pages ingame or even new page for all this guidelines. It's Council they are highly capable and organized they know what they can or can't do, what they are supposed to do, what they are authority for as well as who ever is under them. All that's needed is that their job is listed publicly as well as of all those other people with "admin" roles. Example: For ABC go to Council, for bugs go to Bugs, for avatars go to Avatar Managers, for promotion things go to BFH, for LHO go to Grido, etc. I really feel that there should be some sort of pinboard through which Council can publish permanently and up to date things important for the game. Announcements are useful for making news and are just not useful as references of how things currently are, they also don't cover full picture. "Pinboard" page for MD hierarchy structure and their role/job. I don't think updating it would be problem if it's done on the spot. When you get your new certificate you go straight to Human Resources, when government agency/institution gets new obligation to fulfill they make it known instantly on their website. Somebody gets new obligation to do in MD, first thing he should do is make it listed under his job description. This pinboard-like page can be some mix between rule page and art page, both are done in nice fashion but lack this update approach.
-
It would get things done, people would actually know where to turn and time of important people wouldn't be constantly wasted. Other solution is to train LHOs as Chew said earlier. You need to write that list only once and update it occasionally as new features are added, while you would constantly need to train every new LHO.
-
Why does there have to be anybody who points people to right direction? Wouldn't it be simpler to have a detailed list in which everything is explained and said about where and who to turn to if you need X thing? In such case everybody would be able to point out clueless person to that full list and problem would be solved.
-
Thank you very much :)
-
Exactly as he said, "bug that became feature". Sadly that phrase applies to half of combat system and MD in general.

First: Why would it need to have connection to Lab? I can have savelite dagger and nothing stops me from using it in role of Assassin from East. Second: True. Items are after all just items, no matter what it will always be possible for others to adapt to the item if they come into it's possession. You can't etch in stone the exact role and user of it. IRL even things such as wedding rings get reused, either by being passed down as family heirloom or being stolen. In my opinion the only thing DD will be able to change in that description are fixing those errors, but semantically no change will happen. Third: obtaining community approval has no deadline, he didn't failed as long as he doesn't give up. Crafters are inactive they only show up at xmas, impossible to get item made from them. It's actually quite bright idea to ask council, I don't know why nobody thought of that earlier, it's also interesting that it all went fast and smoothly, that should mean everybody else won't have problem getting items either since it appears as simple and routine thing that council is supposed to be doing. Now community knows that they can make items by emailing them, there are a lot of people waiting for very long time to craft simple common rp items, so council can expect many requests soon. It would be nice if there were a detailed public list of exact services that Council provides. I wish I knew this long time ago; I wouldn't be spending my WPs for useless stuff in WP shop.
-
VERY nice find Rophs, please add reference of where you found it. :)
-
DD doesn't like the errors in description (backslashes). Otherwise you are quite right. Item is very powerful in RP sense.
-
Or is it? Even though weaken defense putting opponent's defense into negative is not a bug, that doesn't mean it isn't design flaw.
-
Ackshan just said what I was going to say :p Upgrading level is adding an expansion to it, another layer of complexity. There you also have power stat, which is additional force to it. In end you can perfectly perform basic and advanced level of spell. Increasing number of casts would be higher resistance to taint due to clearer memory?
-
No, each time you use it the memory gets more tainted and thus it changes bit by bit, in MD this bit by bit changes make spell unusable until reset, think of reset as in "returning to basics". IRL by performing some ability/technique more and more, this bit by bit changes would make possible improvement in it. I'm guessing that in MD, one already has knowledge of how to perform that spell perfectly (as in there isn't possible improvement), thus each bit-change only lowers the performance by tainting the memory of it. Don't look at me weirdly, to me it also seems strange to work like that but that's how I understand that game explanation on with spells and memory for limited casts. Bug Mur for more accurate explanation :P MoC doesn't count, just as minotaurs don't count for maze citizens in your case. None of them are "real" players.
-
Traveler came from East before East got opened. Angiens ain't opposite of Shades. Shades+Aramors=(super)Golem is you :p smoking nightshade. MP8 is real life. Outermagic is memory of caster rather than victim and is very real. Memory explains why you have limited casts.
-
There is Witty as MP3, some other new player show up occasionally but don't stick for long, also there are some Pinoys who regularly log in, I suspect alts. Speaking of "change of heart", I find it interesting that in here you defend "average" player caught on ropes with this wins being gained. Even though you say it's not exactly fair you also say, I quote "one has enough bad things happening to him", something that you didn't agree with me in other case with negative VP being gained while in negative honor. I was referring to that. Those two cases are barely different.
-
Interesting change of heart No one. :P I don't know Rophs, couldn't test it yet, try it and tell us. If it works while capped then you have serious abuse as you can probably see. It would mean that endless grind would be possible on MP3. I highly doubt it's possible.
