  1. I'm active as Chew said. I'm Death Guard which means I take long naps at the Gates. If I'm not napping, I'm causing a lot of torment to others which I justify as combat testing for bugs :))
  2. Update: creature getting killed is actually Regen ability bug. When it expires it damages the creature it was casted on for same amount it usually regens. (instead of doing regen in last round of effect it does damage.) As for martyr, I highly suspect that such behavior is due to the built in suicide-prevention. When creature doesn't have enough ve, it will prevent itself from casting and stay at the amount of ve needed to cast the ability. But since it has lower VE than that, and since sometimes players (like lash) have high power or use tokens, ability will result in healing the creature up to that amount.
  3. My leash works fine. Also, number of uses left is still on it.
  4. Same thing with tree. Tree healed up to the amount equal to power stat and one of my creatures somehow died. In other words this is not just for priests but martyrism in general is broken.   7. The roles are being given out just like that? Without player building it out in advance? I don't see the purpose in this. I see it as excuse so somebody could get a nice role tag and power instantly.
  8. Would it be possible that somewhere in middle of quest, after player has already done some tasks, he would trigger new clicky. However this new clicky would be the quest maker's avatar in a scene. Upon clicking the avatar clicky dialogue would open, possibly with some talks and dialogue options. For example, quest says gather 20 scrolls that contain part of Fluffyness spell and bring it to Ary. After player collects those scrolls, Ary's avatar would appear, lets say at Gates and player would be able to "turn in" those scrolls and continue quest or get reward or both.

  12. I did pretty crude examples, yes. But you are all smart so you can think of something better. I also said non empty lines. You can make a rule that lines with at least 20-25 chars are counted. But the best idea I have so far is to measure movement. Lets say if person walks through at least 10 scenes. Any kind of actual involvement measure is better than just log in tracking. As you said this is mainly aimed towards newbies.
  13. Then in order to make it count your should measure activity by player involvement, for example if a player gained burst in that day (raw example), he gets something little bit extra. Idea is to encourage the player to get involved and reward that rather than just active day. You can for example set X number of fights performed in a day grants some small bonus, or X number of non-empty chat lines, or something third. Those would all be different requirements for same bonus. That way you would have diversity but player wouldn't feel forced to do something he isn't normally doing. For example fighter wouldn't be forced to RP because he can fulfill X number of fights requirement, while social player who doesn't like fighting can do X chat lines. Just some of ideas.

  15. Guys, I don't see point in this. If new players like the game they will play, if they don't like it, a bit of reward (especially stat reward) is not going to help in that department. If you really want to push with game-loyalty rewards, please don't make it based on log ins. I can log in and then log off without doing anything, or log in and sit in sanctuary for hour or be idle in there for 6 hours.   16. I was thinking of a rework for freezes in different manner. Freeze and antifreeze auras would be removed. Instead new abilities would be put in place Freeze and Unfreeze. (naming really isn't important now) Bird and morphs would get freeze ability. Hollow warrior would get unfreeze ability. Freeze ability would hit target/s and apply freeze effect on them lasting for a round or two. Unfreeze ability would remove that effect. Obvious problem is that bird has target multiple while morph has single target. This would get switched. Next problem is that freeze with target multiple seems overpowered, especially if you combine morph and birds and especially if HW who would be antifreeze creature can only do single target. Meaning target multiple shouldn't be allowed, 3 birds and 2 morphs vs 3 HW seems okay if all of them have single target abilities. Another thing I would do in such case is to make unfreezers immune to freeze. If HW is set to use Unfreeze he wouldn't be able to be frozen during combat, while if it's set to use heal he would be able to get frozen. Hitting and missing with either of ability doesn't change, it sort of works like current system. If you set it to target random you are playing a game of chance, if you set it to dying/weak/strong it can be specifically targeted, moreover abilities such as weaken defense, defend and martyrism change the defense stat so it shifts targets as well as normal damaging does for dying, making whole thing chaotic and interesting but it's no longer "gamble".

  20. Actually, I just tried few more things. It seems to be the case that one intoxicator can have only one trigger activated at a time. If you have one intoxicator and you attack player A it will apply intoxication to that player, but if you attack player B while trigger is still active, intoxication won't happen. What I don't know is, if this is intoxicator related or player related, as in what if you attack player B with different intoxicator, will 2 triggers be applied? I can't test this any time soon. In all cases fight ended with all 12 creatures alive, intoxication effect still in place on creatures in last round of combat, fight was of equal length, balance outcomes were same. Yet in one case intoxication passed to the player while in other one it didn't. This makes no sense to me. What exactly decides if effect gets passed from "carrier" creature/s to the owner?

Problem I'm having is that creature doesn't get intoxicated, only player does. From what I see when intoxication hits the enemy creature his stats aren't lowered, he still hits for same amount. My question is, how is it really supposed to work? The way I understood it above (which is not the case in current system) or the way it currently works? Currently this ability has no use in fight in which it's used, no effect. It will lower stats of enemy player and make him softer for next fight (if it manages to hit anything in first place), but won't do nothing in this fight.
