about the people shaping the realm

Eon... Name that fills many hearts with fear. Not because of his creatures or spells - but inevitability of Eon's training. Eon's 'hi' comes as a beep of a attack and continues with perfect frequency all the time of his training. Eon's sleeping - 10 minutes without a beep. There were some who tried to communicate with Eon. Some considered it a task that would justify creating a new guild devoted to this very task. Statistical analysis of his attacks frequency failed... It is confirmed beyond any belief he does not communicate with Morse code. There are poeple who claim they heard Eon talk. As some of these people admit freely they heard him talk after some time in close …

Mur alone knows what will assail us next, as witness the unexpected arrival of viscous slime in the realm. But Mur, in his benevolent wisdom, had the forsight to provide the antidote for viscous slime - the Spicy Pickle. Just before the 6th Anniversary party, Mur visited me and bestowed upon me the means to turn my ordinary pickles into Spicy Pickles. I see now that he was providing for the future. As the crowd screams over every change that occurs in the realm, I thought everyone should know about this clear example - Mur does have a Plan -- have faith. Some side notes: As advertised: "This nasty little bundle of energy will make you hop on one foot, run in circ…

  3. Started by Necromancer Mortis,

Marvolo is a veteran player in MD who is generally friendly to new players. He started out unrelated to lands or alliances and had no intention to be until he met Khalazdad and so entered Necrovion with a few other and became a key member of the Necrovion Sentinel, however Marvolo left soon after and joined Loreroot but quickly returned after Khalazdad adopted him and made him Prince of the Sand. Over a year after he left for Loreroot once more and joined the (now disbanded) Savelites and gained the power to change the Weather at a whim. After the Savelite were disbanded he joined the Children of the Eclipse, staying a Loreroot citizen and remains there to this day. He is…

A visit to the MDA library will give the adventurer a chance of meeting one of the more intriguing denizens of the land, an intangible named Innocence. Ve is normally ensconced in a cozy nook by the Librarian and displays as a pearly iridescence dancing in the sunlight streaming through the chancellery windows. Innocence is unfettered from the tugs of time, completely outside the constraints of our three dimensional sight, yet puzzlingly concerned enough about our fleshly forms to offer interactions with us. Ve slides through space to cunningly reform a candle into a fantastic form, untether the dancing flame from its wick, and brand profound tales from long ago onto …

No visit to Wind’s Sanctuary is complete until the wise adventurer spends a bit of time delving through the logic stream of Emerald Arcanix. He is that rarest of thinkers, in depth deductive reasoning leavened by flashes of inductive brilliance. He is a seeker of enlightenment in fact and alliance. Speaking with Emerald Arcanix may result in a glittering pile of multi-hued particles of information, scattered into discordant bits of unrelated confusion. Gently smiling at your puzzled countenance, he will softly speak of this and that event , pointing them out with his long slender fingers. The disparate pieces begin to form a pattern and then resolve into a tapestry befo…

Awakening in Magic Duel the first time can be very confusing to the new adventurer. Their mind is full of questions about what to do, where to go, what is this all about. The clues are there hidden in plain view yet obscured by the very wealth of sensory impressions impinging on the sight. Fear not, before panic can set in, the gentle voice of a smiling lady helps set one’s trembling steps on the path to enlightenment. She explains the mechanics and provides a welcome that eases even the most timid. Mya has the innate ability to offer help in a fresh manner no matter how many thousand times she gets asked the same questions. She leaves each new adventurer with the …

  7. *Burns*: Long, long time ago, a sweet girl named Calyx of Isis found this place suited as her 'Dojo'. Back then, most people actually were at Willow's to fight people. And she didn't like it much, so put up this place as half-sanctuary for people to train fighting. It was intended that nobody attacked anybody here, unless for genuine sparring fights, and healing. She got some people who helped her, etc. etc. In the end, it was a pretty nice place to be, little fighting groups here and there, people actually learned something, and then left to explore the world. For various reasons that don't play a big role here, Calyx left, and the remnants of her dojo didn't…

The announcement: As per Loreroot King's request, The Savelites alliance has been disbanded. This being the second time it gets disbanded, the alliance is considered now dead. It will never be used again. Anybody care to take a crack at chronicling these important events of our times? ===================== This space reserved for accepted story, payment terms as usual.

Lifeline was said to be an awesome fighter in the early days, which lead to his election as King of Marind Bell. Later, he was seldom seen outside Wind's Sanctuary, and it was RUMORED that he was nursing war wounds (balance issues & potential stat damage). Recently he locked horns with Higher Powers, apparently over issues of the powers of Kingship vs. the powers of those above them. There is now discussion of his successor, and he has referred to himself as having failed as a character. Can someone who knew Lifeline through this entire time chronicle the rise and fall of this mighty figure? ====================== This space reserved for the selected story,…

Laphers has recently taken over the lead loyalty position in the Woodcutters guild. Who is this new leader, and where will he be taking the guild? Can someone close to the topic tell us more? ============================== This space reserved for the selected story, payment terms as usual.

  11. Started by Fyrd Argentus,

In the field of online gaming, Magic Duel does an exceptional job of drawing in female players. But within the realm, Golemus G. seems to be a throw-back. When I look Golemus, I think of crazed sports fanatics, team warriors, and an agressive drive for power and dominion -- in short the epicenter of an epidemic of testosterone poisoning. Perhaps at some point, the lack of female players reduces the interest of others to join and causes a run-away effect. On the other hand, if opposites attract, this concentration of studs should bring in inquisitive females... So what's the deal? Is what GG doing just disgusting, or are women treated as second class citizens, or …

The Wind and Rain Pub in Wind's Sanctuary was once the most hopping and deeply developed social gathering place in the realm. Now it is mostly a place to sleep in safety. Windy's twin sister Sagewoman runs the Inn in the DQ where morning coffee is served with royal pastry baked by Firsanthalas himself. I've seen Phantasm brooding alone over his ale in the Pub in the far east with the very long name. The Cake Eaters have begun a regular picnic circuit, and I have witnesses some very hot-summer-day blanket feasts underneath the Willow tree. For those of you who like witty conversation over tea and crumpets - what are the choices? Our readers want a review. =======…
