  1. I don't suppose you're in chapter 3 in the story? lol... I don't know why, but I feel an almost obsessive duty to hunt out all the people with the ch3 npc bug.
  2. Lulu is taking basic physics, no worries. She does plan, however, on taking advanced physics... She has said to me that her brother said it was pretty much the toughest subject in IB.
  3. I do feel guilt. Mom bought some gummy worms today. I like gummies with sour powder~
  4. BigC~ I don't think we can influence his story any more than we have, right? After all, we did save him from death already. (:
  5. Hum.. I dreamed about MD; it was about the adventure log. (: I was in the middle of a grassy place with big chopped tree chunks, and a voice said that it picked me because it liked me. >__> That was the day Manu said one day I might know for myself what being part of the adventure is when I asked him about what it's like... Carrot to the horse, false death and cats. I feel sorry for those gummy bears.. they always look accusing to me. Not to mention the special ones with belly buttons...
  6. It looks like there are grooves in the pyramid.. Make a rope and hook grappling thingy and throw it up until it catches in a secure places; climb! ((: ... I suppose I am wrong.
  7. There is a small image of Mt. Kelle'tha or however it is spelled in the Golemnus part of the map.. > That's all I know, though.
  8. Yes, yes, the person who has been trying to have a max level of each creature instead of figuring out battle strategies wants to participate~. I don't know what side I want to be on. I guess if indecision irks I'll pick team A. Otherwise, if you need the number of people on each side to be equal and someone to go on team B feel free to pick me. mp5 Glaistig
  9. Welcome (: Don't be afraid to ask questions, or you could pm me. There is an FAQ on the forum, if you haven't seen it yet.
  10. Testing for me was fairly easy. It would have been nicer, though, if someone didn't keep on dragging me to study with her for little reason at all, and also if I didn't have a lot of writing assignments to turn in that week. It seems as if MB is a bit harrowed though, so it must be quite hard for him. Alchohol smells okay. Good actually, like anything fermented to a degree. But I wouldn't envy anybody drinking it. @Lulu, there is still cream soda. You know, like vanilla coke. Or there are others that label the flavor as cream, if you insist. I'll make it for you someday. (: And in the green-colored glass, if you would like. So don't tell me to get back to that essay T_T.
  11. Humm.. you know, I just hear about all of those nice little 10-year-old boy geniuses attending colleges here in America and I get the impression that I've failed miserably in my life. And you know, where are those ten-year-old girls? I'm so not elite.. I have to study and I spend so much time on homework to achieve all of my grades. It depresses me when I hear all my lovely classmates chirping about how they procrastinate and spend less than an hour on homework I spend two or more hours on and easily get an A. Muhh. I've always been greatly conscious of age and appearances. Ever since I turned 11, I feel old and unspecial, although I shouldn't because age isn't much of an indicator of anything. I always try to look as if I don't care about my appearance by wearing things like sweats and sweaters, which in itself defeats the purpose. (: Ahh well. Vanity is but one of my flaws. Alright, I should get back to that essay which I have to start and turn in by tomorrow..
  12. Umm, so let's see... Akasha has 6 pieces of paper that she (probably) has to use to get to the last pyramid... Burning doesn't work... Other than the writing on pieces theory and the use of principles related to fire theory, emm, see. . . : I have no idea what it could be. It couldn't possibly like those puzzles in those RPG's where you move stuff in certain places or place stuff in certain places, right? lol, just remembering...
  13. They're not normal highschool exams. Students in the states take both standard state and federal tests to evaluate their progress. Only students enrolled in IB or AP courses (increased workload and faster learning pace for advanced subjects) take the IB and AP exams... and if they score high enough, they get credit for those courses in college. Both, because they are supposed to be for advanced students, are labelled as challenging; at least for the average student in the US of A, it is (but that doesn't say much if you consider the level of education here). EDIT: Lulu got to it before me >_<;
  14. Even if I end up getting a hugely unbalanced ratio of losses to fights, I much prefer this system than the previous one. Loss farming is very tedious and mundane, where getting victories is a challenge that requires strategy; this time, the thing in demand, victories, cannot be easily gathered with cheap tactics the way losses were. I'm sure if there needs to be tinkering with the difficulty level of achieving victories then that can be managed, but the concept itself seems fine for me.
  15. I'm sure Lulu will be shocked and disillusioned should she happen upon these posts. (: Ehh? What was that about France? I've never been there or seen French students taking IB exams, but it does seem as if it is harrowing. Although a certain someone I know doesn't seem to want to study much for them, fitting with that someone's study habits. Good luck everyone with exams~ Standardized ones were pieces of cake I consumed two weeks ago... Just don't want to take those horrible finals x_x;;
  16. Hmm~. I guess it would be impossible to journey back, steal a dragon from the tiny people and train it, then fly up to the top of the pyramid? (:
  17. Gjinja, most of us can get into Willow's Shop.. you have to hover your cursor right over the middle bar in the door. I think you're right about Loreroot, though. I can. All I did was click Berserker Way's puzzle and the message that usually appears when you solve it came up and there was that creepy scream. Went back to Marind Dale Park and the statue was gone.
  18. Not that it really matters, but have you noticed that in the story's illustrations the protagonist has hair, but the avatar (or whatever you would call it) has a bare head? XD Just remarking.... When I was just playing I got the impression I was a spirit in the world of dead, like a shade maybe, so somewhat insubstantial physically.. Maybe that's why grass can poke through my very faint feet?
  19. I was wondering what Shoeps was saying.. Well, just like Willow's Shop, you can go through Fenth's Press even though normally you would have to beat the npc there (the arrow is still there). Unfortunately, it seems as though there isn't anywhere to click to get into Loreroot; I think the guards with their shields are covering the area where the entering trigger usually is. When I first tried getting into Willow's Shop I couldn't because my cursor was over the area where I could trigger a fight with the guards.. there is just a little space between the two triggers of the guards where I can click the trigger to enter the shop, less than there usually is without the guards. I haven't tried through MDA lands yet. I'm going to edit the topic a bit to correct my statements (:
  20. Well I was pretty happy when I read the update about the new combat system. I got the impression that it was meant to stop people from farming losses and irresponsibly giving easy wins to others, which is something that bugs me a bit. When I was reading it, it sounded good in theory, although problems may arise later. Then I noticed that I got a victorious when someone used two healing creatures in a ritual... what? I reread the annoucement log and it still said that in order to get a victorious both players have to lose 20% of vitality, and yet I healed more than 100% (or lost more -100%). I might have placed this in the bug forum but I'm uncertain if I'm missing something and the system is still fairly new. Here's the end result: Does anyone else have questions about how the new system is supposed to work or why it is better than the old one? Feel free to express any opinions.
  21. All right, I have been receiving messages from players ingame that say they might be in chapter 3 (some of them don't seem to know for sure). I'll ask them to confirm if they're experiencing the problems before putting them on the list.
  22. @Yami: You must either be IB testing, AP testing, or taking exams for college course n___n; You should tie a victory headband around your head to concentrate and consume a tub-ful of chocolate. You can do it!
  23. Players in chapter 3, please post your player name here if you are experiencing this problem so Manu can fix the bug. thrall already posted about this bug in "back in time but not quite" but I decided to make a new topic to get your attention. Some chapter 3 players might have noticed something odd; they receive a message upon advancement that says they're now in free roam although they already were in the first place. The npcs reappear but are unfightable; a message appears that says: "***You allready defeated this character. Please close this window and continue your quest." The statue in the The Marble Dale Park also reappears but it is gone once the Beserker Way puzzle is clicked, as if the puzzle has been solved. Players who have this problem can still access Willow's Shop and Fenths Press by clicking the triggers (door, arrows, ect) that appear inbetween or behind the npc; unfortunately, it is not the same case with the Loreroot gate. Manu plans to fix the bug but to do so he needs a list of the players in chapter 3 who have it. List of players in chapter 3 with the bug: *Rex Umbrae Killer* *Shoeps* anubarak Azrael Dark CFM H MAN Charles dontav Eldrad elmster fiju Gjinja Glaistig hammerfalldude hellraiser Kalenku Kybernetiker Laz Marvolo Morrel Nash Psycho Demon RamsesXII savelfuser sioux Slayermtg SmartAlekRJ STF Venger Zintwana
  24. Hmm.. reading it, I can see some basic stuff that might want to be changed.. For instance, you probably don't want you use either first or second person, so get rid of all the "you"s and replace it with "a player", ect. It also sounds a little biased, as if you are marketing it. Basically, that's our intent, but you should refrain from saying something like, "it involves a lot of strategy" because people's perception of "a lot" varies. Instead, you might want to say that it involves strategy and specify. There are grammar errors, but I guess that can be edited later. The structure of it might want to be changed, in my opinion. I would add more detail about each section, creating subsections, and the introduction might exclude a few details that could go in other sections. Also, I would add more important sections such as history of how it was set up and the progress of it. I'm sure someone else will come along and make necessary changes, however, and I don't think I should do it since I lack comprehensive understanding of the game itself; these are just my suggestions.
  25. When I was reading this, I really did think you were talking about there being multiple writers, not the amount of players in the story.. "every writer" is plural, and you talk about writing the story. I think Akasha thought the same thing and wanted to make sure you and others knew that only Manu is writing it. Just so that you know, she isn't saying that players went through and edited the story, changing the details directly. The players make their own actions (the support groups supported BigC and solved STF's riddle) and Manu adjusted the story to fit them, which is why Akasha said it may seem random and unplanned. When she says "wrong info," she refers to your statement that there are several writers. In any case, if it's all cleared up about the fact that there is only one writer, then there is no point in continuing. There was a misinterpretation on either Akasha's or your part (I personally think you didn't understand what she was saying about "player involvement" and she didn't understand that you didn't understand and thought you were changing what you said), so if it is solved then there is no point in deciding whether each of responses can be perceived as attacks on each other.
