I've been running things this way for awhile now, and for the most part things run smoothly. When people break the rules and get kicked out they always tend to come on the forum saying it's not fair, but have I ever been punished for it? No, no I haven't. I won't be punished for these things. My rules are pretty simple. Iggnus can claim he was only there for a few seconds at a time all he wants, an excluded location is an excluded location. He obvious realized it wasn't a location he wasn't supposed to be at, otherwise he would have stayed there longer. Unfortunately for him there's a little LHO button that showed me Peace had been at the Fields of Fear while Ignnus kept jumping from the labyrinth. It seems to me like he didn't think I'd ever realize he was at the Fields of Fear, and he'd get away completely free as long as he was quick enough to avoid detection. That's not how things played out, and he was DQ'd for it.

Actually this whole post sounds like pretty guilt ridden to me,So I got all these score because I was there like 10 seconds today,then got removed fast,you have everything to fear,keep on cheating when you don't like the scene and you'll see

It's not about whether or not you'll be punished, because you are the authority. I assumed you'd be the first to realize this, but apparently you're not. The Council's only going to step in if you do something incredibly stupid, or they're feeling incredibly nit-picky. Using the fact that they have not stepped in yet is no excuse for your actions. If you're going to enforce a rule, you'd better be sure that people know about it before you do, and it seems to me you just threw your rules together sloppily and called it a day. Leaving rules open to interpretation is unacceptable, if the consequence is disqualification. I stand by my statement that ignnus did not break any rules, because your rules have so many obvious logical loopholes.

Excluded means you can't go there. If you jump there your still there. Simple enough to understand.

Hopefully now you realize there are consequences to breaking rules.

Yet another brave soul has lost it's living state here in the Center of the realm! Oh noes!

Since I have been contacted by a number of people regarding the "heat voting clickie" that was used successfully to restore Life in the past, I have accepted the request to re-activate that..... with a twist.

In order to actually allow a "vote" to be more accurately recorded, there are TWO clickies setup to collect your active heat.

The hidden orb vine, can be accessed using the phrase "[b]Revive Spartiatis[/b]" and will function exactly as it did in the past. This is located in the corner of the steps, as circled in the image below. You can safely check the clickie without using Heat, as it will only drain it when you use the button inside the clickie to allow that.

The large rock can be used to represent a desire to keep Spartiatis dead and buried with the same sort of "heat storage" utility if you use the phrase "[b]Spartan stays dead[/b]" on it. (also circled in the image below)

All your Active Heat will be drained if you click the button within these clickies, and it will record a running status of it's current Active Heat.
This Heat drains away at the same rate as other heat storages, such as your Erolin device and Heat Jars.

Speaking of Heat Jars, it is unfortunately [u]not[/u] possible at this time to use Jars to store Heat and transfer it to the voting clickies. The Heat must be [u]your[/u] own Personal active Heat, at [u]this[/u] location.

I think adding a "negative vote" like this is quite in line with the spirit of the "Heat vote" concept as mentioned in the announcement!

I have to agree with your overall points Eon, in that Skilldamage is good.

However, I think what Chewett may have been implying is that "it's a good thing" is a rather broad statement.
It could potentially (if I'm being mean and creative) be read as:
Mur thinks skilldamage is good for some folks to have and use the way they do.
Mur thinks driving people into sanctuaries is a good thing.
Mur thinks people complaining about Eon/Skilldamage and reducing their playtime is good.

Note, I'm not claiming Mur said these things. I'm pointing out that there are a lot of things that a sneaky lawyer-type might be able to claim in such an open phrase, and I know there's some folks who hold a grudge aginst you or skilldamage in general. I'd hate to see a valid argument broken down into flame wars over a technicality.

As FireStarter says, I don't mind the stat damage. Grab two friends and it's recovered pretty darn quickly, after all.
The general suggestino of a pseudo-sanctuary? I would vote that down pretty strongly, but was an interesting suggestion to propose.

You want an area where people can mindlessly combo grind their brains out while in near absolute safety. Yeah, I don't see that happening. Mur gave skilldamage as a reward for a reason. Mur also thinks what I do with my skilldamage is a good thing. If you want to train without fear of my skilldamage, do what another group is currently doing. Hide from me in the labyrinth. What? You miss out on social interaction with other members of MD? Too bad, hide and train, or be social, it's your decision.

I really enjoyed the challenge, especially how it became more and more difficult to go forward. Luckily I reached Liberty. However, I understand that those who got to Liberty were rewarded morphs and other prizes. I have yet to receive an award. (I have spoken to Awiiya and he says he also was not rewarded, though he added that he doesn't care much for such things).

Edit: Oh, and I did contact Mur about this when I first realized it, but his only reply before going missing again was a bit cryptic: "[color=#000000]umm,, u still outside now?".[/color]

I am happy to see that most of the players have come to their senses: skill damage is what it is and should not be removed because "MD is losing players because of it". During the years I have heared this line from lots of players and for lots of reasons (hell! even I was accused I drive players off) but the common ground was pure selfishness. Let's be honest: 98% of the MD players don't care about others or the game. They only see their own interest. In your case, Spartiatis, Eon's skill damage is "preventing" you from fighting the way you want (amount, frequency, etc).

You have the tools, you have the numbers, you should be fine without removing something that was GAINED FAIR and SQUARE.

Or maybe just organize a little quiz - forum ban for 1 week of people, who are complaining about something, that obviously they don't understand.

If answered correctly to few questions, then the ban could be raised. If not - then another week.

I know how this sounds, but haven't your parents ever punished you one way or another, when we did something wrong, either if we didn't understood it fully or just acted prematurely?
