There are dozens of torture instruments listed on the interwebs but we all have google skills. In fact we don't care much for realistic contraptions, since it is Magic Duel. No wonder that one of them got a bit crazy and went out of Necro on its own showing slight attempts to have an own personality (you know shades have no individuality usualy). Since it was just one, without much power, and clearly a deranged one, it got captured!! It interesting that it was not destroyed, so far from the rest of the shades and outside Necro. Since its evolution to an individual was not at all complete, you can not talk to it, you can not torture it to find out Necrovions secrets. One thing that you can do is abuse its creatures, experiment with them. Shades creatures are creature are not available to be recruited any normal way and except one of them that i have for tests, nobody else has such a creature. There are also some known species, like the Wind Drachorn, but anyway , its rare enough , if not the rarest. The reward for this contest will consist in one or some of those creatures. Kafuuka, the organizer, will receive access to the Shade account and he can pillage it by taking all its creatures by ctc transfer and reward them to the winners. His reward will come at the end. [b]Important note:[/b] Necrovion people should not feel robed since this rebel shade excluded itself from the mass of shades and can be considered a "defective" shade. If not captured it would have vanished or eliminated by the other shades. Once a shade gets in contact with remains of individuality it can't be brainwashed reintegrated in the shade mass, because it has no brain! So enjoy the contest, there is no need to pretend to be offended or attacked as a Necrovian! Good Luck!

Here are the details of the competition started today, day 275 of the 4th year. A painful competition , just like the Festival In this competition, 3 teams of players will receive broken pieces of a code. Only if put side by side, the code becomes a usable bonus code for one single use. The members of the team have to find a way to gather all pieces, by trade, competition, deals, or ANY WAY at all. Unfortunatly i am not updated with all the things discussed here, what i know is that i found several awsome artists around here that never got to me, instead i received bad quality submissions and stolen art. Please excuse my lack of time, but from now on i will try to manage this myself. Please submit your sample works directly to me, including work that was already submited but ignored. The avatar bounty contest is in a way canceled since i never got a clear image of what was going on, or at least what i heared seems to me different from what i can see with my own eyes. Your samples will be valued right and those of you that realy deserve it will get a bonus , as a replacement for any prizes you might have missed in this competition.

To stop talk about potential Kings, you should all know that in the event that Yrth gets de-throned , there will be a public voting with MORE THAN ONE CANDIDATE to the GG throne. I don't think its fair to pick one just on the reactions now during these events. There is also a possibility that GG will remain without a King. The discussions about a potential new ruler are for now not needed and will only expand this thread to more offtopic comments. The realm grows, political systems inside MD evolve. If untill now picking a leader was based on individual evolution, adventure log or other non public reasons, whatever they were, it seems to me now that the politic system in the realm is requireing a more public vote. Even so, i consider this to be because the way we are used in RL where votes count by number and not by value, and we all know that in RL there are no more REAL leaders but voted leaders. I want to keep this feeling of value within the realm, a leader to be truly a leader, a LEGEND, and not some guy elected because he promised the best things for the future. Some leaders can't be changed, like ME, in case you didn't realised that, but others can, its just the matter of who can. A simple vote count from all your alts and unaware friends you can gather, will never change kings in MD. (in case you keep forgetting i try to be neutral, or seeing both sides, what i just said has nothing to do with yrth or metal bunny but its a general view i have) EDIT: petiton was uploaded, sry for that. @shadowseeker: thats why I will count votes, getting a vote from the enemy is not the same as getting a vote from one of yours. Only a human can decide that, not a count. And i assume that role.

you should read announcements more carefully before you make comments. The new voting system is supposed to be used from now on for such disputes and not just this situation. And yes my vote counts a lot, simple as that, never said its 51% or any given value. If you don't trust my judgement then what else can i say. Its funny how people that slowly lose touch with MD come with comments so allknowing and with this attitude. You probably know about what is going on from one or the other friend thats still here and you hear the situation from that perspective only, look a bit over some topics you are pointed at and that's it. It seems to be a common practice lately to summon fosils in aid of current active events. Everyday i find an additional reason for me to let you do freely what you want and take my hand off MD, your bad luck is that i care to much about it. (and when i say YOU sometimes it means you all, so stop acting affected about the messages thing)

RJ, with me the situation is very simple, either i am neutral or i am not. When i am not i dont ask for a second opinion. If you don't trust my voting system then its your opinion, but i know i do it in good faith hoping for a more accurate decision than a simple count. Considering you are not bothering to argument anything you say and you simply complain, i will not care to explain more why i see it better or what issues i think might appear. When you will want a serious answer, post a serious complain. Everybody can cry for a reason or an othet, its easy, and its very natural to blame the voting system when you don't like the results. And yes, i am supposed to read, understand, and judge your each comment in there... something you probably consider me incapable of doing, since i constantly ignore your ridiculous messages, annoying pms, or stressing emails that keep comming for sometimes good, but oftenly not so good reasons.

I am planing to use this situation to implement a ingame voting system that will be similar with the forum but will cont the score based on your reputation and will also be something to hold as evidence for MD history over time. The player reputation will be eventualy calculated automaticaly but for now i will be the one rating each vote with a value based on who i know you are and the reasons you gave. So the more important/old/influent you are for the realm the more powerfull your vote is. The more good reasons you give, with good logic, proof, etc, the more powerfull the vote. Reputation and reason will count PROBABLY equally, but i am not sure right now. Please be prepared to write your reasons and opinion in a clear form within that voting system, even if you posted it allready here on forum. In case I don't manage to finish that voting system in time, i will use your opinions here on this topic for a decision.

Guybrush, its exactly your type of opinion that makes necro be special. Some can understand it some can't, simple as that. I suppose if you were to be a hunter you would be that type of hunter that would stop in shock and explain to the running deer that you hit partially that it has to die of the wound and not run, while the poor deer will continue to run despite your perfect logic trying to stop it. Sorry no hard feelings, but you obviously don't understand shades.

NO its not a "hardcoded" thing. Summoned army, like ANY other character that will attack you in MD, has behind it a human mind that can take decisions based on feelings, impressions, logic, or what other things he consideres. In case of the Summoned army, playing that character in true respect to the personality i wanted it to have, the Summoned Army felt in its fellow Necrovians an enemy. Please read the chat log yourself and see if you can tell from the chat who is on whos side. Having a necrovion ally sign on your profile makes you part of Necro, your blade and your actions speak for you. I could check who attacked first who, but its irrelevant! It was not a competition or a contest, it is not a artificial situation that needs an exact measure of facts, it is your interaction with the summoned army, which is not the Shade Sentinel i have to remind you. In your interaction with the Summoned Army, that came to fight against what was going on and defen the stone from any outside influence, you necro FAILED. It does not matter who attacked first, it does not matter if you were attacked because an other necro fighter instigated the summoned army, ..it does not matter because the Shades were allways seen as something close to a natural event. [b]Consider the summoned army a hurricane summoned in your aid, if it hit in its course friendly units it was still a necro representative to fight in a necro location[/b], that should have told you it is not fighting against necro, obviously. You forgot about the shades, you repeatedly mistaken them by humans and interpret their ways differently. That doesnt mean they changed in any way. Shade Sentinel dissapeared from the lands after the Traveler incident, there was a faint attempt to feed it in order for it to regain its powers, the Summoned Army is a shade sentinel without its individuality. The Shades never changed their ways, you wathced the whole thing from a distance, like a show. You join such events and observe them but behave as if you are not involved but then complain when you dont like the outcome. Note: some characters are animals, really animals, mine for example are quite some. Shades are sort of animals or natural occurences, not individuals, knaty is a large beast .. animals have instincts above reason, if an animal feels something is wrong, then for him it is. If knaty feels you talked without respect to him , so it is. Same with the shades .. you never learned to understand then.

I am starting to feel that some of you forget some basic concepts around here, when i say something related to the game is in one way or an other, then it is THAT way and no other way. people ..what uninformed...my head hurts...do you forget who you are talking to? Again, the summoned army, was attacked by necro people, OF COURSE IT FOUGHT BACK. It attacked both necro and non necro after it saw that they make no difference anyway and they keep attacking it. So..it didnt attack back only those hiting it, but all, once you showed no kind of support. Except the fights, there was no support in chat, but even worse, you left the general impression you are curious and want to see what will happen with yrth actions. Don't act surprised or revolted now, you should have been that way back then. The summoned army has no humor, you play games attacking it just to see if you win or not, you might end up complaining on the forum later for the outcome.

I will not comment too much on what i think regarding the recent situation between grido ans yrth, there are plenty to do that. In RL when your president does things you don't like, you can organize a hit or a revolt, you can do pretty much whatever you like, question is, will you succeed? I want to say some things that only i can say regarding this. Public opinion is a powerful jury. Here in MD votes will not count as number but as value, so if you plan on doing a voting thing, then you will have to send them to me, with _strong_ reasons, and your personal reputation will count as the vote weight. Having an anonimous ruler is out of the question, don't even bother with this idea, sorry. You want to be anonimous so that you have power but NO responsability? A ruler must have the guts to apply correct measures both to foes and friends, if you fear that because of a friendship situation you will not be able to be a correct ruler, then you are not for this role. Yrth had so far a just behaviour in my own view, but he is not gg as a personal favor, nor is anyone else in his position, so his seat there as a king is under same rules as anyone else. Shacking a king off his throne can't be done out of personal frustrations or grudge. The position as a king of a land has to be SOLID or future kings will not be able to reinforce their decisions because they will risk to be stoned by their people, so think well before attempting such a takeover, a king is not an ally leader.

Ok i've been talking with Cryxus trying to establish the first faction and we both realised some things don;t add up right. I need a feedback on the following questions. I think these questions sum all the things needed to put factions in motion. 1. _Exact_ location of a faction. Exact scene names of where factions members can go, OR if they can go the entire land ? Cryxus faction is the Pirates one, suggestions can go for that or for any other too, anyway i am more interested to see what you think about how factions should be spread across locations, after that i can apply same logic to the first faction i will be working on. 2. Point of entrance. I have two options, a) start of game at register time. It involves faction staff to handle lho support and new players will have no creatures and experience about md. This is best for the ffirst impact on new players but its very dificult to setup correctly especialy with all the new things a player needs. Once players are in freemode they can subscribe to a faction and seek admitance. They could select the faction at register time and then have a "mission" to get admited there, but its just a suggestion (i am not sure of the things it involves yet). That also involves that other older players could join factions and its a risk of factions becoming used as alliances, AND I DON'T WANT THAT. 3. Scoring system. I think i can make it related to worshiper system. All worshiping a central leader are part of the faction and are marked with the faction signs. Faction staff can give score points based on faction internal rules such as quests tests etc. This score determines the exit point out of the faction and the end of the training. 4. Appearance. All faction members should have NO AVATAR / NO TAG when joining. That is allright with new players and old players should not join factions anyway! As part of a faction you will get a avy, one that is shared by all faction members (some scholar avy or something related to that faction). The tag will describe your position in the faction and your score! 5. Exit point. Once you fulfill all the training of a faction, you can and should exit it. Upon exit you should receive a reward. Its no need to tell who i think it is, but please keep your fights with me or other players inside MD gates. Don't prented you like MD and play it but also affect its image so that others will laugh about it. Hi Mark (or whatever your name is) MagicDuel will never have computer generated graphics, regardless how professional some might consider that or how many amazing ways there are to do them in 3d then convert them to something that looks like handmande but its not. I could give you a bunch of reasons why that is and why its so important that the drawings should be made pencil on paper and not altered by a computer but i am sure you will have no use of such information. Regarding general design, i hope i don't offend anyone if i say MD never had a "webdesigner" except me. The web you presented (if not taken from a template) is not that impressive. If you could do something like (http://www.disciples2.com/D2/elves/), and i mean art+the 3d glare effects+... then you can contact me, maybe i have a project for you, but so far what i see regarding webdesign you have basic skills. In no way do i want to offend you , and i appreciate you trying to help, but i see you are very persisting and you require an official answer, so here you have it. Thanks

i am planning to make a small icon on the detail panel that appears when you click a player in chat. Clicking that icon will show a list of achievement icons that player has, only the icons. The icon appears only if there are any to show, since most wont have any. The current achievements page (the new book next to wp stars) will be enhanced and better looking probably. There are other plans to do something like combo rewards if you gain all achievements in one achievement unlocker (like the statue now), but not sure when or if that will be. Most likely it will be one WP for achieving all in one place.

the achievements section was not yet announced as done on the newslog. If you found some map area i was working on , that doesn't mean its up. WHen it will be done it will be announced, then you can complain its not working.

keep posting sugestions in the form I posted them and i keep them updated in the first post. The first batch of 30 achievements i posted is in work and after i will gather the others and make an other batch. Also except these, there will be a basic set of achievements easyer to get by anyone (within a week or so) , maybe 5 badges or so. They will be made based on the real cool ones discussed here, for example if one here is collect 10wp (a hard one) the easy one will be collect one wishpoint, which for some is also a very important achievement and hard to get.
