I fully suppor the idea of a central bank of some sort, where you could pack into one box multiple things like resources, creatures, items, etc. In fact, long ago, in the time when i was thinking i could draw md scenes myself (lol), i had a vault created (chew you may make t public here if you like). At that time it was kind of useless, but now its very much needed. The same functionality could be used to pack rewards, treasures and such. So..i will make a bank, or more (land based?) but i don't know when..there are plenty of other things i need to do first. ..but it will be done. Some ideas from back then (warning, advanced research subjects ahead, i am disclosing these here because they belong to a part of md that is at the edge of being forgotten): - the "vault" as i named it, was a place to enclose in a cube almost any fragment of the games reality *technically this won't be possible, but there are plenty of things that are possible) - the vault had something to do with liquid dust, can't remember what.. - the decive that was able to create these cubes was a sphere with a perfect mirror INSIDE it (allover its interiour walls)..i don't have a name for this "cubifier" yet - the building was partially burried in the ground. This is because it had deep levels that theoretically managed to exit the 'down" border of the realm, the sphere being placed outside the game world. This allows for a system to create independent subsystems...like cell replication, it can't happen inside a cell, if you understand what i mean - accessing the content of something put in the vault should be possible only by unpacking the entire content of the package...not item by item. In this way, maybe some can place "curses" on the content of some big treasures, or things they personally are immune at. (this might still make no sense in the current md, put was a plan then, and so far i intend to go in that direction still) - once placed in a cube (account box), that cube must be stored in the vault or it will self unpack after a while. ANYONE knowing where to look at could grab the cube. This is similar to swiss accounts where all you need is the account number to access it, no name (plus additional security, not the case in md vault). This might allow stealing, or even mining for such packages..if the cube coordinates are created based on a pattern (i might skipp this plan, or allow stealing of such cubes, but its risky, to few players to be functional, to valuable also) - this one is ..interesting.. Someone coule store his entire identiry/account into a cube and basically get logged out and access denied forever, while his account remains in the vault. In the same way like with the other cubes, this personal cube could unfold and release its content, namely the entire player account with all it has, if grabed by someone else and held till it self unpacks. - the unpacking time should be variable based on the content Well as you can see....these ideas are very interesting, and many features created till today support it..like illusions mode, expiring items, creature totems..probably a lot more...they all connect.. but i still don't think its time for this feature, not sure why. i hope you enjoyed reding this at least ps. note, to remember it for research reasons: information/contents inside a cube, exits the balance of the realm, leaving either a gap (if it was balanced), or healing a gap (if it was in surplus). this info might be vague, but its enough as it is.

very very interesting and useful feedback. i also see stage 12 as one that brought more energy into md. We can't finish everything in stage 12 before moving on... some features might take years before they are fully implemented because they wait for the right time and depend on other features, or sometime I wait to see the social impact of such changes and how people will use them (like the herbs for example). Someone said these are beta versions and md is not commercialy ready..... well, i don't intend it to be actually. Do you think that a project of this magnitude, after TEN YEARS of continuous development, will ever be "done". MD is always "complete" it just keeps growing in a way that makes it look as if its not complete. If i where to cut and remove unfinished features entirely, the remaining ones would make a perfectly "finished" game.... but i don't want that... i want md to keep evolving, daily if possible. This is why they are called stages and not alpha/beta versions. A25 can't be fully operational at this time, the changes required for it to function are a stage in their own. In my view, the fact that the TOOLS to implement a25 are done, and the concept itself, are enough change for one stage. The list lashtal made is absolutely ..refreshing..for me :) I got a good view of the overall size of this stage, that is probably the biggest in md history....and i wonder, is it just a coincidence that this stage is about to end now at the 10'th anniversary? :) hmm..:) What means a stage change for me, and indirectly what effects this might have on my involvement in md development? I think a new stage forces me to see everything with new eyes and gives me more force for big changes, and thats what is needed now. The A25 tools gave me courage to proceed with these changes, that are huge, ..but a25 is still far from being implemented. One of the changes a25 brings is the total removal of the story mode, and introductions of factions. These are things in addition to the scene editing stuff i worked on so far....brr...scarry... I will wait a bit more for now...maybe finish some of the things i recently started first. Anyway this review is amazing, thank you.

I listened to both views about ... my conclusion is that a pack of credits , if wisely used, are very healthy for a non-paying player and it does not affect their potential to become a paying member later, it actually increases it. Its also true that if there will be too many "free" credits, it won't be very good, in fact such a thing could kill any income because many people will just wait to get the free credits. anyway...the final decision is that a pack...not an unlimited source, is ok, because even if they will try to stick to that pack alone, the shop is deep enough to make them wish for more. 8 credits is way too low i think a total of ... hmm.... x ..TOTAL credits, spread in 2 ishes, one easy and one deep ... what should x be?

I was wondering ..how was md before stage 12 and how is it now near to the end of this stage. Looking forward to hear your opinions, announcements review, etc. Some major things happend in md during this stage, things that changed it totally...it would be nice to see how you consider them, and what you consider to be biggest progress (some things might be unannounced? idk) Thanks

so here is what i need. I need all items that are not blue or striked out, to be palced in the following format: $ait[] = array("Name of the Item","Description of the item","123"); $ait[] = array("Name of the Item","Description of the item","567"); $ait[] = array("Name of the Item","Description of the item","234); ... Name and description should not contain quotes " or ( 123 should be the ID of the player that wrote it. All items should have the id also. I need the same for the blue items, the striked out will be dumped. Please look at the related topic where all this was posted, and write here if you can do it and how long do you think it will take you to do it, i need it very fast. If anyone can do it fast and for all items in the topic, i will pick that person, otherwise maybe this task can be split between multiple people. Thank you

i think we are taking here about the TOTAL amount of credits obtainable via wishes. 8 was a secure value, not at all a final one.. my initial intention was to make it 12, then add two more wishes of same value but deeper. Considering that i also intend to make credits available via other ways (like random chance ar sacrificing old crits) and that credits still need to remain something 'wanted', I think my initial intention is much closer to what you discuss here. I will be waiting a bit more to see more opinions about this, then i will change this value. my advice is that you should not use wp for this yet, the value will increase, not drop. ps. comparing 1 single wp value based on just one or the other wish, is as saying that a drach costs 1$

would be awesome to have artworks for all of these items but we are talking about hundreds of artworks ....even if done as sketches, it will be a lot of work. Yes there will be a shuffle mechanism similar to avatars. ..and there will be two sections, i will divide items in two groups based on their ...beauty :) The actual beauty of all this comes when you think of all the possible combinations and uses i can't anticipate for these items. Now i can exclude some items, but i relaise that many of them make perfect sense to be combined into new functional, customized, items... Also because we will have so many, i can from time to time exclude some of them from the available items list so they remain unique to their holders, and replace them with new ones. -
this is a very good question. If not the technical trouble , i would be willing to merge vital energy used to heal crits and influence combat, with the heat system *replace it with the heat system actually* Exploring points and value points, even if the less used things in md, have a separate meaning Vital energy could be considered to be that heat generated and stored naturally and in a constant manner without any additional tool or activity

woaaa ...so many items..i never expected so many, but i am glad there are, i can use all (and more) Now a little insight about what this is all about. I am planning to add a new shop feature where items can be bought. Thats why the items there can't be usable items ore resources or anything "dangerous" from a rp point of view, or even worse,dangerous for research (like mirror stuff) Some items i had to take out because they are way to awesome to be available for coin, they are great items for individual roles, and should not be available in unlimited numbers. Avatars can be bought and contribute to build a nice character. In same way, these items are thought to be added for flavor and to add up to various roleplay needs. For now, i eliminated all that i considered to be related with any existing feature, but maybe i missed some. Over time, some of them might receive features dependign on what stuff i will be working on..when this will happen, i will remove them from the shop, but i will not remove the existing ones from your inventories. I want items to be more freely available. In my opinion the crafters guild was a failure, not due to them but due to the high cost and high demands. People created too few and too powerful items. there is lack of "normal" items , and this is what this list will be for. If you are smart enough, these items as they are can be combined and mixed , or even altered, to build customized items of much greater beauty and power. Any future crafter ability will not build items from scratch, but might require such items to base their contructions on. Long ago there was a similar influx of items on the market but it was limited. Later on i had to withdraw those items because things where going wild. Now i am planning for a more dynamic system to provide items. their variation is absolutely essential. It will prevent too many duplicates. thats why i need so many. This list can stop once i will start/finish coding this feature ..at that point I will be counting the items each one of you provided and make a toplist. Please: - add your player id to each post where you posted - do not edit entries that i commented - do not double post - if you add an item that was already added be sure it has a significantly different purpose and description - keep posting large lists and avoid posting just a few items Than you, awesome work everyone -
1gold is not the price for a contract kill. It is the price to use the itemadded to whatever was so far. "most" and not "all" because i still kept the original functionality just in case, its not currently used. Also there is ONE single item that will kill if provided blood. The symbolic connection is there, initially i wanted the gold to go to the dead person (the ferry man tax) ..but that would mess with my initial purpose to somehow limit the wild use of such items. In the future, such items can be easily configured to use other stuff, for example a poisonous arrow could use poison, and at the same time the victim would not instantly go to the graveyard but suffer a slow death while still outside the graveyard. This functionality is already there, i just didn't had the opportunity to use it yet (and gladly chew knows about it too so it won't get extinct like many other features i did and forgot about)

i need to create a list of items that will be less valuable, but will contribute to the overall flavor of md gameplay. The items should not be easy to turn into a functional item so that even a noob could get them but won't be able to request the item to be made functional. This is for a new feature i am planning to release very soon. I need item name and description (a row or two of description, not just 2-3 words) I will be rewarding whoever provides the most useful suggestions, and the rewards will be 'my style' because your work will be used heavily from now on :) i need in total about 3-400 items ...yup...a lot...of various types The sooner i manage to gather the item details, the faster i can release the feature. *artworks for the items will also be needed, so artists are welcome to start preparing..more about the artwork part of this feature will be announced at a later time) Your reply should contain item name and the description on the second row. Please post at least 5 items per reply, no less,...or as many as you want Thank you!
