chew..it would be nice to make a top of worst code ever in md, on sections, like for example #1:user class #2:navigation process ..etc. Can't include combat here because it was so terrible that Randril had to rewrite it...that would have won the worst code top for sure i am actually serious about this, will be fun to know your opinion. Too bad I didn't ask r for the same, to compare ps, i think items will win :p ps2: could be a contest if you present the main sections and ask people to bet

it WAS a community effort. Doesn't matter that in the end Laphers came and offered all resources. This sort of effort is about intention to help without getting any benefit, and all people that offered their resources had best intentions and offered their resources without knowing someine will offer everything bulk (thanks Laphers btw). Idk whats wrong with you that you insist on not seeing the obvious and get stuck in something i could call a technicality...it sounds more dramatic i know, but i can't agree to it. just my opinion.

My intention is to provide each land with a clear advantage over a particular resource(s) and not make things equal across lands. This motivates trade and trade means cooperation and interaction and thats good. It is ok for two lands to have an advantage over the same resoruces, but then other lands should be really limited in getting in by other ways other than trade.

Eon helps me understand what needs to be done about fighting..things like..after a point, fighting and skills become useless....that sort of thing. Wothout eon to "push" fighting to absurd levels i would never see md future without it :)))) i know it might sound confusing, but one action often triggers its counterbalance ..in some weird, twisted, way

you should focus to balance JUST the resources that currently have a use. From the other resources you should learn how many they could be gathered and balance whatever comes next to use them, to fit those numbers. for example, lumber and branches are not used atm, so it would be pointless to "balance" anything about them..instead be aware of their numbers and gathering speed (avg per regular player and avg per motivated gatherer) and consider that info when setting new things that require wood. Water will be used in massive quantities in the new quest, but in the sense that it will be used by many, not in large ammounts actually. Increasing the number of buckets, plus the low efficiency buckets i think i mentioned in autumn2050, will contribute to water balancing. I am also very curious what the most unbalanced resource is atm... because i have no idea what it could be and being "blind" in any aspect of md evolution kind of kreeps me out a bit :P

md is on different ip, i think thats why its not working currently. The announced changes to their networking, and this looks somehow related to that, at least thats the only difference between md and the rest of the site there, and everything else works, except md. I am still waiting for a reply from them

Apparently MD does not want to start..hosting has not replied yet, i restarted the server but i see no difference on md (other sites on same server work, just md seems not to) It all looks quite scary to be honest, i have no ideea why just md is down. Chew,...tell me pls you have a backup........

i believe its hosting issue, waiting for their answer right now..

pm to email feature was initially made to have a way to notify inactive players that they are still contacted ingame..hoping this will bring them back or at least keep them in contact with those that look for them. would it help to send email via md smtp instead of php? would it help to email only when last login is more than one week ago, but no more than two month? i consider it an important feature ..but that option in the poll about working on other stuff sounds also interesting :)

till now i like the moo-sai, rainbow cow and cow knight ,,,but it could be better honestly. The cow kind of needs to be "vertical" otherwise it won;t look good as avatar. I am slightly increasing my sponsorship for now at 5moo per silver ..i mean silver per mooo...sry i mean cow stance. (or credits)

Here is my decision... I asked for four people but honestly more is better. It was hard to decide between some of you so i had to filter one by one out. How i decided..its not perfect but its also not random: [spoiler] - Because in this mission you will have unlimited access to all places in that particular area you are appointed too, i had to exclude those with too few active days. Its plenty of time for you to "grow up". - I selected both people that i never talked to before and ancient characters. Some of the ancient characters need indeed something new to do, and participation in this is something they deserve - Sometimes having a really cool tag helps a lot sometimes not - LHO _need_ to be offered such chances, their support to md needs to be rewarded, i will focus more on that in the future. - You talk for your character, if you have "an older alt", means nothing to me - This mission needs to be done fast so your comments regarding the availability also mattered [/spoiler] If this goes well, i intend to delegate more things in this way. One single abuse by any of you will be enough to change my mind however. Disregarding any of my instructions in this mission (including walking around outside the designated area) will be considered abuse. I must be very strict if i want to delegate more such things in the future. I also need to be able to trust all of the participants, not just the older (ad) ones. For this mission, selected participants will receive needed tools and a secondary tag that they may use as primary tag for a role or keep for later as they wish. The tools will be returned. I will count on your common sense for what is acceptable to do and what not during this mission. You can however gather any resources you find on the way and grab any items or equipement if it happens there is anything new in your path.
