Trapped within this cage I am a lone. It is through the painful sensations that I learn what it means to live within this cage. The light shining from the outside is blinding and I find comfort within the dark depths of this world. This cage is not meant to confine me but keep something out. The old logo I can not find and I can not remember if the Masks of the Mist did a performance before I had disappeared from the game. But I can show the performance that gave me the idea for it. In each hand he carries a scimitar Kyphis slowly lowers himself down until he is sitting with his knees straight in front and his head leaning back, both his arms spread and the tips of the scimitars just meeting behind his back waiting Assira the Black steps lightly into the circle her barefeet hitting the ground, wearing a cruel Vipers head mask that pushes her brown hair back away from her face Assira the Black has zig-zag lines racing down her extremities that shift and shimmer in the light, and a small daggers in each hand Assira the Black kneels opposite of Kyphis with her head lowered and her dagger poised in front of her with the tips of the blades barely touching as if poised to strike Kyphis springs up into the air like the hawk taking flight, swinging the scimitars first forward and then to the left, using their momentum to go into a spin Assira the Black dives under and past Kyphis, swiftly moving her daggers forward and then to the right, propelling herself into a spin like how a viper would twin around their prey Kyphis lands on his feet and continues the spin until he faces Assira again, half kneeling with the left scimitar held up behind his head and the right across his body watching the vipers every movement Assira the Black stops spinning with one leg extended straight behind her, then moves into a kneeling position with her right dagger behind her head and the left dagger across her body keeping her eyes on the hawk Kyphis steps forward and up toward Assira, reversing the position of the swords, then pauses for a half second calculating this vipers every move Assira the Black steps up toward Kyphis, matching his movements with her daggers as a viper would taunt a mouse Kyphis circles out toward his right, away from Assira, swinging both swords down and out in front of him in a threatening manner Assira the Black raises her daggers crossing them in front of her face protectively and then sweeps them down and out away from her body to her sides Kyphis pauses when the swords are in front of him, then spins back toward Assira, bringing both scimitars straight up in front of him poised to strike the viper Assira the Black fluidly moves the daggers from her sides upward and in, towards Kyphis scimitars stopping short of touching them defending herself from the claws of this hawk Kyphis turns first to the right, swinging the right sword out and behind him, then to the left so that both swords are behind him, like a hawk getting ready to strike from the sky Assira the Black spins the daggers in her hands reversing the grip that she has on them and spreads them apart so that the hilts point to Kyphis's swords and the blades point out Kyphis suddenly steps rapidly forward between her open arms, almost on top of Assira, bringing both swords up under her arms to meet behind her head in a deadly embrace Assira the Black stands steadily in front of Kyphis, swiftly crossing her daggers behind his head, tips pointed at the base of his spin Kyphis slowly lowers the scimitars, crossing them over as they go down Assira's back, until the blades are just touching at the tips, behind Assira's knees warning of the dangers of facing a hawk Assira the Black runs the edge of the daggers lightly down Kyphis's back Assira the Black uncrosses them to bring them around his waist acknowledging the dangers, rotating her wrists so the tips point down again and remind the hawk of the dangers of a vipers fangs Kyphis slowly drags the flat edge of the scimitars over Assira's thighs as he uncrosses the swords, acknowledging his own danger, bringing them behind his back once more Kyphis steps back Assira the Black also steps back Kyphis bows from the waist Assira the Black returns the bow, then turns and exits the circle Kyphis turns and exist the circle where he entered : Mya Celestia applauds .Peace.: *applauds and nods pleased* Spectacular. Cleanliness ( not a blurry scan or pic) Representation (whether it portrays the ideas behind the guild) Creativity (being outside of what people would normally draw for a logo) The logo will be something that will represent the guild so I wish for it to portray the guild well and have some depth to it.

College of Darkness- Deception For the next month I wish to talk with people on their views of how deception is used. Whether a group of people get together to talk amongst themselves or cross my path and wish to talk about it, then that is perfectly fine. I just ask that if you meet in a small group then you send me a log of it and I will answer any questions that I can. This way discussions are not limited to my time zone. After I accumulate 'discussion' logs, I will combine it into main points and post here with the names of the people who said it (unless you say that you do not want your name written down). The purpose of this is to get people thinking and it is a homework of sorts. I could give another talk but I think this will be more involved and let others join in when I am not around. When you see a shadowy creature get killed/vanquished in a tv show and your roommate says, "No it is not the tainted ones." When you dress up as your character. I actually wore a belly dancing outfit to the Renascence Festival. When you worry about MD stuff more than rl stuff. When a friend you have not seen in a while asks "How is life doing?" and then asks, "How the game is going?" When friends and family try getting you addicted to other games but fail. When your desk is cluttered with MD related things. When some people at work even know about md.

Assira the Black Tainted Leads the ones she has tainted (things has calmed down) Plans Watches Has held some events- performed a dance and has held a Deception talk. Participates in quests (Normally on at evenings my time during weekdays and on most of the day on weekends) StrongWilled Legna Child of Time (Not on as often as Assira, maybe once a week or more depending on mood but can go through periods of weeks with no activity) Plays pranks help with a few events Guardian of happiness :D

There are different ways to view such a role (and character types fit to fill them) 1)Someone Wise and fair 2) Strong sense of Justice 3)Vengeance/revenge These of course are not the only ways a role/character can go, just the first few types that come to mind. In most stories it is someone with a strong sense of Justice that hunts down killers to protect the people. Given the md twist to things Vengeance or revenge... the more vigilante approach I would find to be more interesting. My main point of this is that whom ever decides to step up for the role... does not necessarily have to fall under the typical archetypes of such a role.

I think the role could work out if planned out and if changes were made later to help balance it better. It makes sense that such a role would exist in MD to help bring balance. But to also make the roles of killing enter more of the mysterious/shadows. An act that is not as openly done but as mentioned above, takes creativity. It just might add another element or complexity to MD. In rl there has always been a counter to (social) crimes (consider killing in game more social and not an actual md game crime). It just take changes to a few things to make it a little more difficult to figure out who the killer is (like with Eon's Contracts that have to state the contractors name). As for who the role would suit... I am not sure.

I apologize, it was not my intention to join for just a badge. I wanted to be apart of md in some way and the CoE was an alliance that I liked to be a part of in the past. I forgot about the task given and had attempted to help out at the event where we guided people from scene to scene. I am not the best at those sort of events and it normally takes me time to prepare for them. I should have followed through on what I said I would do. As of late I have not been in the mood to enter MD as Legna and dropped the ball on anything Legna related for all things Assira related. Hiria went on the back burner long ago.

Disclaimer: The following post is made by the player behind the characters. This does not represent individual character views. It is a mixture and contains similar views to the characters. For the characters are an extension of myself that has been exaggerated and the characters allow me to experience things that I would otherwise not be able to experience. After reading through what people have said and what I have seen over time.... It is a bit disappointing. It will be a bit hard to explain this. I will try to walk through all my thoughts and ideas. I do not have problems with alliances being taken over and think that change/chaos can be the push for growth. However, I disagree with destroying an alliance. I do not know the personal history of what has happened in MD in my 3 1/2 year absence. Things have changed that took me by surprise. One of the things that took me most by surprise is not just the low population in md... but the missing spark. The living spark of those still popping in to md. People want to point fingers saying that this person is not doing enough to make the land active or alliance active. That is just shifting the responsibility of what is going on within md. Events have been held, quests made, rping is being done, battles between creatures... The participation in these are low... sometimes it is due to timezones, rl problems, or overall lack of interest. It is individuals that make md what it is. There are more features in md now than when I first started playing. I fell in love with MD not because of being able to cast spells, have items, battle with creatures, join an alliance, or because of the art work. (All big things that make MD unique, interesting, and fun. And nice features.). It was the community that drew me and captured me. The thought and hard work put into MD. The twists and turns that MD can take. Before I found md I played Battle Magica, it was a unique game. I watched that game die and are still one of the few that pop back in to just see if any of the other vets still visit. So once I find a community of people I like... I stick with them. I do not wish MagicDuel to follow in that path. To dismantle an alliance whos members log in, hold events, rp, and so on... Is taking another spark from MD. It may cause a wildfire or it may just send up a final puff of smoke. All the lands have alliances that are not very 'active' or do not appear to be 'active'. By holding this expectation solely the GotR is very bias. It is easy to destroy/break something, but harder to rebuild it. I do not think this will destroy the GotR and honestly as long as there is still unity among Lorerootians an alliance is not truely needed. But that goes for any land and alliance. I am not disappointed with the alliance takeover, but more with the reactions of others that I have seen. Easy to shift the blame to others for the failure of the alliance versus taking responsibility for our own roles in it. I am not active as Legna and so my participation in loyalty to Loreroot is low and I have not been of much help to keep up appearances of Loreroot being active. But the thing is... people should not have to put up the appearance of something. I have learned that just because you do not see it, does not mean it is not happening. If you want activity or something to change to what you envision it being. Then step up and do so. Change it by being what it is you want changed about it. If you want a land to be stronger, then be the backbone of that land. Be the energy force pushing it forward. Keep up communication with others from that land/alliance. One of the things I love most about MD, is that the meaning of the realm depends on everybody. The story constantly changes based on OUR decisions. If a land decides to go to war then they can make that choice. If a person wants to be a leader for a land they can strive for that goal. If a person just wants to go around picking flowers then they can do so. There are certain elements that is solid, principles that guide the game, and game mechanics that can limit certain things. But this is where the imagination and will can alter what happens. To sum all this up, I do not think the GotR should be dismantled. For to do so might break the foundational meaning of why alliances even exist in the first place. If you want activity then do something, if you want change be the change and do not expect others to do it for you. I admit there have been times that I too have blamed things on lack of activity or felt that something was not changing quick enough. Or thinking back to the old days and comparing it to present time. I have tried to let go of such thinking and move forward with the times presented to me now. Not to make it like times of the past but to create something new. To strive forward building on what was. I hope that I have not bored you all with my ramblings and if you survived to the end.
