I think there can be done a lot, if you have the will, regarding research of DS. There are lots of documents about Simplyzero's evolution via Adventure Log. With the right "why"s, you'll be step closer to understanding him and his abilities and perhaps if your theories prove correct, one day, duplicate them if you wish it so.

I guess it's better to have 20 persistent mp4s than 2 active mp5s and 18 that went inactive due to the slaughter and skill damage that is present on mp5. It takes quite a determined guy/gal to come young to mp5, see that Eon is always awake and everywhere, and press on fighting, nursing combat skills despite the fear of going idle in the open due certain stat loss. The most common results would be either abandoning combat or abandoning the game itself. Find a balance to encourage people to get to mp5 and stay on mp5, rather than focus on the most determined bunch of people. MD needs some "2-clickers" as well. I don't think I've seen MD more dead than now... Subject to ponder on.

Before trying to figure out everything, let's try to figure out us. To me, life of a human has one clear purpose - cognition. What is the difference between human life form and life forms of others? Self conscious? I do not know how animals 'think', so I won't be that ambitious to assume their total inferiority (especially not in potential) to think, but it seems clear that at the moment there is no 'exploration' thinking of abstract subjects in their world, no philosophy... So that ability to question on a higher level and doubt, is at the moment very specific to us humans. To avoid pointlessness of our existence (individual speaking) as whole-life-workers, 'slaves' sort to speak, of leaving a life full of pleasures, of leaving a life full of pain (each pointless from the standpoint of our current knowledge on 'what happens after our bodies die') humans should strive to understand "god", to answer the question what is god, to understand existence. To understand everything! Otherwise, we would just be like animals, working on the survival of our group, reproducing and finally embracing death. And with that it seems the term 'human' is reserved only for some of our fellow biological-wise humans. If there's really nothing after death, if our 'souls' do not tread on somewhere, then everything is pointless, from the perception of an individual, but with cognition at least we would be aware of that, and avoid "blind sheep being led slaughter" syndrome. So let us be humans, let us aim for the heights of knowledge, and the rest will unravel on our journey.

The great focus of my work in this event was to keep away conflict of interests, and maintain "fairness" of the system. Hmmmm, even if Glaistig is a player from different time of my own, I fullheartedly agree with her post - perhaps, not in the same way she meant it but rather in my own interpretation of the post. Just recently, for example, had my own lack of understanding on the other side, in my discussion with one of the "new generation" players, when I showed "concern" about MD's development going "a bit" chaotic.

Yrth, maybe in an ideal system without bugs, bug abusing and such. From time to time, some bug with which you can attack offline people constantly swims out. Abuse of spells that were dedicated for moderating certain competitions or helping newbs... What would those wars actually show, you tell me, actually victory of one's land strategy, or "who has accumulated more privileges and game mechanics abuse knowledge"?
