weird that there will soon be two maze-based quests, kinda fitting for the anniversary of MD labyrinth. after of months of delaying, it's finally here! yey! Me and Marvolo made a quest, thanks to Cutler's marvelous coding and our blessed support of Lorerootian king with sponsorship (no privileges for LRians, don't worry ), it's here. rewards: first 3 winners get a WP, first winner gets cannonized in the story in "few stories" topic that I made some time ago. If I discover sharing info, or cheating in any way, that person(s) will not be able to participate in any event that's related to me as simple as that Ash Arc clickable, pay attention to the text, make a screenshot at the last part and post it to me via forum PM (you will see it in instructions at the end, dont worry), good luck ladies and gentlemen and have fun! I tend to try our quests to be as uniquer as possible... so... please share your thoughts after you're done with the story goes that strange things were happening in the woods at Ravenhold... and the mystery attracted visitors (yea, it starts as ash arc clickable, but ignore that detail ) take a look if you dare edit: oh one more thing, I won't be giving any hints or advices, you're on your own

now that you mention Picasso: Computers are useless... they only know how to give answers
10. I know how much you like certain people around, and by announcing this, I'm sure you give it a good thought and will hardly change your decision... But I hope you do, anyway. I'm sad to see you go, you were, and still are, a good friend, no matter are you logged in or not on MD

there is a low amount of data out there in the game that player can find about history of this realm, about the people who did such and such things except the Adventure log that is pretty much sticking to its own story. It's been a long time since I originally planned to write History of Loreroot, but it wasn't up till now that I actually started writing. Waiting for so long to start lead me to the conclusion that this won't be regular "summarizing up" post, but extensive research about whole of its history till the present day (the important facts). New generations of Lorerootians would surely love this, (even I want to know some things I didn't heard much about before, and there is number of stuff) about all those famous people of our beloved land, why happened when and how, by who that very much shaped us all now I intend to do this as objective as possible, and it will take some time know that, for I have little of it right now, just waiting for the first holiday to pop up so I can concentrate on things I like more. The reason why I'm making specifically history of Loreroot is not unknown to any of you, I'm sure my character is related to Loreroot since my starting days and it will be so till I'm gone, this sort of activity is also corresponding to the role I'm trying to make with Savelites of, among other things, possessing certain knowledge (call it a mixture of legend speakers, archivists...) for the public good, and I'm not pushing away the possibility of doing something similar like this for any other land. what I'm asking of the community is this: I am not here since forever, there are many gaps that needs to be filled in my knowledge about all the events, and I'm asking for volueenters to help me with their experience in this realm, specifically those veterans that were present during the first alliances, Nelya's arrival in Loreroot with Guardians of the Root, also chronology is very important to me and this project, so do care for that. Thanks to the archives of this forum, I've managed to make a summarized picture to a certain point (it's still under construction, like I said, it will take some time), but I need help, so better then to hunt those individuals I think can help down, I ask that you come to me. Offer your knowledge through PM (you can announce it here if you like, anyways those who help will be in my "thank you" intro once the project is made:P) if you are eager to help this.
12. happy birthday Karak may all your wishes come true!
13. happy birthday ailith!
14. I wasn't complaining Mur, dunno where did you read that. Suggestion that some games from the Astral plane that Cutler made could be placed (and maybe re-design to fit the needs better) to gather people is not a complaint. I would at the moment just settle with /MORE PEOPLE/ in MD, it isn't that much about new features to me (altough it's fun to see some). about the insanely strong people who train all the day... a player suggested in his papers (forgot his name >.< can look up if somebody wants to know) that the "idling" option gets erased, or even better if idling option prevents you from being attacked (therefore you can get messaged if you are waiting for a message) which would prevent alt-idlers-farming or just idle people getting farmed on in training places and would result that people need to find "awake" players to fight... that would be great if there were enough people for something like that, but where can you find someone to fight with right now, in random locations? you have this cool annual competitions, Head Contest and Torch. But most of the veterans already won the HC, so it falls to the Torch, that many people don't like now days cause of all that issues recently. If torch gets re-edited a bit to make it more 'fair' and fun for masses to participate it could make MD more dynamic, and in the rest of the time, people would fill their time with their own events, competitions, quests, or just debating and talking... also, I guess the major problem is lack of enthusiasm and goals. What goals can someone as MD character have at the moment, and how can he/she achieve it? (something big) what changes can player make (the essence of supposed-to-be-fun in MD) now? major changes?
15. I believe original games being able to play against other players and even make bets, would result in flocking people around some points for other reasons then combat. I think you did a splendid job cutler (in fact you could even create a game of your own that way lol), but I also think if astral plane becomes used in certain ways it could much help in making MD more dynamic and daily-interesting (not specifically astral plane as astral plane but the work you made there)
16. hmmm but what about decentralizing that astral plane a bit, don't make it as world within world, how about cooperating with Mur (I guess if he likes that kind of things) to put games under certain clickables (not that you can access each and every one from GoE for example... and also all locations open are a bit spoilerish, I myself visited location or two that I never visited before). example, creature card game (didn't try it out but I plan to! ) can be used... hmmm in tribunal's pub, let's say, as a device for bets? that sort of stuff would surely bring the community back into other locations such as those pubs created specifically for making people enjoy and gather for RP activities or just talking and exchanging infos
17. srecan rodjendan matori ziveo do veka!
18. that's just desperate avoiding the depths of oblivion certain books are for everyone, meaning random people too, not just the ones who find out about the password
19. well Burns, like I said, problem with clickables is that you have to update them now every 14 days what if you leave the game? if no one continues your data, then it is lost and your work is gone. library in MDA, again, clickable thing K docs, I hear they are a bit bugged? plus, you need 4 used WPs to get those... is it really hard to write few pages in RL? so why would you need 4 WPs to write a book?
20. cause it is an in game archive, not out game (therefore more realistic)
21. how about creating books? that players can read once passed by (but no edits once they are finished... cause if someone edits somebody else's work, then there could be possible forgeries...) those could contain history of the lands, some could contain training help manuals, or just instructions, logged events (clickables were good for that but since they need to be updated every 14 days... people who leave cannot re-update their clickies, can't day? )

perhaps limiting the damage that comes from tokens (total damage including with the boosts) to 10k that would bring Lifestealers back in game too
23. best of luck to you, Kyphis! It's really nice to see legend speakers going active finally
