Method + explanation In order to create a Death Anchor, we first need to come up with a way to locate the dead and make them stay in place. To do so, we will need special stone tablets which are made of locate and movelock stones. The combination of these spells manages to properly locate the dead and keep them in place for a while, and since the Dead are hard to keep in place, the movelock spell would not restrict them completely and they could still move if they wanted. Since we need at least 20 memory stones for a basic stone tablet, this one should require 15 movelock and 15 locate stones (due to its increased complexity). Those should be combined using the Loreroot Stone Tablet Combiner and we shall obtain a Death Handler (name pending). Now, this would certainly not be enough to keep the dead in place and avoid their collection. For that, we need to add something extra to the tablet. We’ll do that by binding the dead to that location using memories! Our main ingredient for this part will be Reality Shards: We bind these memories to the identity of the deceased by combining those with Wiiya (pure identity) using Heat and Syntropic Dust. Now we need to store that concept in something tangible in order to add it to the tablet. We’ll do so by using Fenths (pure matter) plus more Heat in the process. This should give us a Reality Anchor (name pending). Note that in order to handle Wiiya and Fenths, we need their associated tools: one Wiiya Bubble and one Reality Coagulator. As a final step, we mix the Reality Anchor with the Death Handler in order to obtain our Death Anchor (inactive). Note that this step should also require heat. Finally, since the tablet contains an extremely complex combination of spells, it should require at least 10 heat stones for activation. Before activating, drop your Death Anchor at a certain location (just move there, game mechanic-wise) and use the stones to activate it. Once it is finally active, watch it adapt to the memories of that location, interweaving those with the memories of the deceased and making them immune to being collected there. Note that once it is done, you cannot handle the Anchor anymore as it has already become a part of that particular place. Ingredient list 15 Locate stones 15 Movelock Stones 01 Stone Tablet Combiner (the LR one should do) 10 Reality Shards 01 Wiiya Bubble (not consumable. aka you get to keep it after the process) 01 Reality Coagulator (not consumable. see Wiiya Bubble) 10 Wiiya 10 Syntropic dust 10 Fenths 20 Heat stones (for all the heat involved in the process + activation) Other references:

Hello, everyone, 16 years, wow! That's a lot! Throughout these years, we've seen a lot: the rise and fall of many alliances, RPCs, Queens and Kings, not to mention countless events and quests. We have also witnessed the appearance of new lands, creatures and even concepts (Wiiya and Fenths come to mind, for example). I could go on and on, but I'll try to keep this short (and ultimately fail), so bear with me! Mur once said: I, for one, find this quote fascinating, especially when we acknowledge the many "coincidences" that take place in our beloved realm. As a (tentative) researcher, I often have to dig through old records to look for said events when trying to identify and/or predict their associated collisions. When doing so, I frequently find myself picturing an ideal world where a certain concept or topic would be well-documented and whichever public information regarding it could be easily retrieved by any interested party. While at first this is a rather selfish thought, I really think such scenario would greatly benefit our community and, as such, I'd like to propose this quest to thee: TLDR: QUEST DESCRIPTION HERE! Pick a topic of your choice (anything, really: a particular event, a principle, a resource, an alliance, a faction, a land... hell, even the history behind a certain medal, why not? :P) and document everything you can about it as if you were an Archivist writing a book on that subject for current and future generations. References to relevant announcements, adventure log entries and forum posts are encouraged, as are screenshots, artworks and chat logs — feel free to add anything you'd find appropriate. Bear in mind, though, that we're interested in PUBLIC information here. For the love of our Demon, keep it spoiler-free! Oh, one last thing: due to the nature of our goal, multiple submissions per player are more than welcome, so, the more the merrier — only one pack of rewards per player, though! With your entries, I plan to start organizing (and contributing to) a "new generation" of documents for the MD Archives. I hope that in the future everyone will enjoy heading to the Archives to browse the bookshelves for clues! Oh, and since there isn't a predefined "editorial style" for these, I'll draw inspiration from our submissions in order to determine that as well. Finally, I invite anyone inspired by this quest (even if you don't submit an entry) to join me in this endeavor! If you're interested/curious, feel free to send me a PM (forum or in-game would be better... though I might also be available on Discord during the birthday) so we can discuss stuff. Enough with the wordy bit! Here comes some important info: Submissions Entries are to be sent via FORUM PM. Please don’t make them public before the quest ends as I’d like to see a lot of variety in your entries. After that period, I’ll contact you to find a way to make all of them available (we’ll see how that goes, depending on the formats and whatnot). Judging We have managed to get a very special Archivist to judge your entries: Kyphis the Bard! Hooray! Oh, also some random guy that goes by the name of Aelis will be acting as judge (don’t trust that one). Entries will then be judged on: Presentation (10 points) As I said, there’s no predefined editorial style, so feel free to innovate. Make it interactive, draw stuff, use pictures where one would expect text and vice versa, etc. Go wild on the format and surprise us! Historical accuracy (10 points) We expect you to present good references for the stuff that you write. Try your best to provide “proof” for your sources. Writing (5 points) We won’t look at your grammar or vocabulary here. Just aim for some degree of cogency in your texts, that’s all! Rewards (the good part, finally) 1st place: Anniversary creature + Wishpoint (if we have at least 3 entries, if not we’ll see) 2nd place: Anniversary creature + 1 gold 3rd place: Anniversary creature + 5 silver Additionally, all entries, regardless of score, will receive some amount of silver or spellstones (the exact quantity will be defined Soon™). PS: I have been given the power to award Anniversary creatures to good quality/score entries that don’t make it to the Top 3, so try your best! And now the coolest part: if your entry doesn't make the cut, you’ll have some time to improve it and try again if you’d like. Deadline April 29th (end of birthday). After we post the results, you get an additional week if you want to improve your entry to go for an Anniversary creature. Okay, that was a bit lengthy... thank you for your patience thus far! Please post here if you have any questions. I'll try to answer as fast as I can.

Now, on the visual side: I found two very different violet/purple/indigo occurrences (to me, at least). Let me know what you think: The first one is an alliance symbol (which I've never seen in-game, I found it by exploring the urls): And the second one is from an old screenshot that I found in my folders. It seems to be a colored version of an illusion (in the original picture, I can also see the black and white version of this). I really like the colors on this one, especially on the head. I think it's a very unique color. I totally get this feeling Mur mentioned from the second one, but not from the first one.
-
On the textual side: I've only found mention of the color purple twice in the Adventure Log. I don't know who wrote that part of the AL, but in it, Mur is seen carrying and opening a purple box. This festival was related to a RPC/PWR contest: https://magicduel.com/page/Announcement/view/493 ... which I believe to be this one: https://magicduel.com/page/Announcement/view/461 I don't know if purple here would mean the "end of line" for the contest or the "all powerful and unusual" concept associated with RPCs, but I find it quite interesting that the purple object was a box...

Back in Year 4, the seeds sprouted into the East gate. Roughly four months later, Elthen Airis, one of the first inhabitants of the Tribunal lands, had settled in the Sunny Bedroom to start working on his private detective cases. Back then, one could only walk up to the Temple, with the rest of the locations being revealed later on the occasion of the 6th Birthday. This lack of other similar scenes at that point might help us understand why he picked that exact place instead of some other room. Elthen Airis, Private Detective Shortly thereafter, in the beginning of Year 5, The Sunny Bedroom was made private as a reaction to a sequence of controversial events, and Elthen was assigned to become its first key holder. Interestingly, the Sunny Bedroom key was the first usable inventory item in the realm. Elthen’s role did not last long, though, for the other realm summoned him and his absence called for a new keeper. People suggested potential candidates and those names were put to a vote. After a very close election, Miq was chosen to become the next key holder or Concierge, a title/tag that he would help popularize throughout his almost 5 years of service. As a reward for his hard work, he has earned the send to checkers hall spell. Miq the Concierge After a long period of performing his duties as Concierge while also working on other roles, Miq decided to step down and set up another election for the next keeper. This time, MRF was voted to receive the official items and spell. It is worth noting that, during the election, an update made it so that earfocus and acousticremains would no longer work inside the Sunny Bedroom. MRF At some point, MRF decided to focus on other activities and handed the role to Syrian, the current key holder. As a realm-shaper, she’s been in charge of making interesting upgrades to the Sunny Bedroom. In addition, the Sunny Bedroom has recently been the first scene to have its privacy enhanced by the new Protected Chat setting. Syrian This brings us to the present. The Sunny Bedroom has been the first “unique feature” of the Tribunal and it certainly plays an important role in the history of the East. One cannot help but wonder what kind of secrets have been shared in this mysterious room during all these years.

Time However powerful one might be, time makes no distinction of power in its flow. It encompasses all that have ever been and all that will eventually be, and will outlast anyone/anything who might be considered "strongest of them all". -
I can totally hear this one inside the House of the Tainted Times. The melancholic feeling in this song makes me think of all the history related to that scene in times past, present and future. There's also this sense of isolation and darkness that I get from this song, which I feel are perfect for the overall feeling of that place in particular. It's almost as if I can see someone walking slowly and gently touching the bookshelves in the dark.

Day 11 - Marind Bell and friends

This was my Champion's Challenge back in Year 5: (wish I had their old avatars, but the current ones will do) As far as I remember, Ailith was the first person I talked to in this realm. She was probably responsible for me staying around! Eventually, I ended up joining SoS and that was when I first became a part of the LotE. I'm really happy that our friendship endured all these years (and today we both being on the same land and alliance again is an awesome bonus). This event in particular was right after I had disappeared for some time, due to exams or something, and had just returned. I remember Ailith being the alliance leader and she told me to jump to her so she could show me something. That was the first time I visited the Champion's Challenge and since then it's become my favorite MB scene! In this image, aside from Ailith and Granos, Pip is there as one of my oldest alliance mates, and also Awiiya and Kets (Handy Pockets), close friends whom I visited frequently. Also, I'd like to mention Pamplemousse (couldn't find her avatar), another great friend from those days. I still have the screenshot that I took back then (which inspired me to write this and decorate this scene in particular). Behold ancient-layout.php, haha: -

Totally not worthy of a conversion, but I wanted to try leaving my comfort zone (not that MD doesn't force me to do that like every day, but stil...)! I tried picturing a Priest(ess) of the East -- of the Temple of the Void, perhaps? This is what I managed to sketch (of course the real one would have the right proportions and a proper face instead :P).
