Seigheart's Auction

Featured Replies

You know, Awiiya, it's incredibly hard to even care anymore.

As of right now, I'm ready to just tell you all to do something very naughty indeed. Why? Because MD is no longer a game anymore. It's one giant legal game. I held a public auction for fun.

I sold some volunteer slaves. I gave half the gold to the slaves, and (still havent even decided what to do with the other half) kept the other half for whatever purpose.

All those slaves got a free new item.

And yet, everyone keeps complaining about a few silver. Like come on. What do I need some lousy silver for? Seriously? I don't have any creatures of my own. I don't collect "resources". And no one sells their items.

So. What's the point of me having this silver? Just to sit on it?

As for you Pip. You don't know what happened. It's kind of pathetic that you would bring these "theories" without any evidence. Maybe if No One had actually posted the entire conversation, then you would see the entire picture. I was actually pissed at Ledah for breaking our deal.

The deal was she would get the leash for four weeks. The conditions were; She can't sell it. She had it for four weeks; or until she used all the uses.

The fact that you claim that she and I worked out some deal before hand? What is the point of that? Like seriously. I didn't know about the leashes until after the auction. So, your arguement is invalid.

As for me getting hold of my leash again? Ledah had "sold" (she claims she gave it away for some stupid resources and crap) to Hedge. Hedge tried to get me to give him some items or gold or something in return. When I didn't budge, he gave it back anyways.

Thus, I got ahold of my leash once more. I then went ahead to reauction it.

So, Pip. You think you're so smart. Please. Explain to me how you think this is wrong? And PLEASE provide evidence. You scream and shout that I did something wrong, but I have no fricken clue what the heck you're talking about.

[and sorry for the "cussing" in the previous post. Many of you seem incredibly dense right now, and it frustrates me.]

Seig, I am NOT sorry I don't have proof that you are innocent.

From what I've seen, you tricked Hedge to a deal then refused to pay anything and refused to give back the item. That is called THEFT.

Swearing in forum is not nice and is typical to Fenrir. You, Seighart, were absolved of a punishment for being different from Fenrir. You admitted you are not.

@Council : shouldn't be an investigation already started by "I am Fenrir" statement ?

Also, some quotes:

The GoE if I'm right, but no one is there yet.

I was there, I wanted to buy YOU. You postponed the auction. YOU CHEATED.

What pissed me off before I tripped on the above chat is that YOU used the leash. (i can only suspect this)
You cheated the auction to be able to move. You ordered to be moved around, I think that was the deal you did with Ledah.

There are a few counts that you charged with. Whatever the council said or supports... i still think you are a thief

As a side note, I DO apologize for breaking your 'no trading the leash' terms, Seigh. Though, that is all I am sorry for in this situation.

Edit: No one's previous post makes me uneasy (was it a cheat?), but the apology stands.

that was emailed to us, and in this thread. If anyone has relevant
evidence please send it to us. We will be contacting individuals for
information, please could all slaves post their view of the situation
on this thread or if they wish to remain anonymous thn please email us

so... wut happened to this investigation its takin quite a long time already and there are no updates about it, to me it looks like council intentionally forgot about it

This is a month of spring breaks for many. Plus they may be having trouble coming to a decision.

Hold on why is this revived. The council has made a decision and there decision by definition is law. Somebody please close this topic there is no reason for this to flare up again when a decision has been made.

The council trusts everyone with a public role to do their job
correctly and well. Therefore, we trust Siegheart to not steal
creatures or use funds for his own personal gain. However, if anyone
feels there is any occurrence of wrong-doing then they are free to
contact us regarding it. Bear in mind when responding to this topic or
contacting us, as he has stated: His auction was conducted in an
unofficial capacity as a player of Magic Duel, not as head of the TKs.

If you wish to provide further evidence on this please email us, but
as it stands there will be no trial.

council sent in there response if there is to be anymore evidence it should be sent to them. Public opinion has no more baring and evidence is not going to be looked over if posted here. If council confirms a trial go ahead re-open it but any additional comments are just going to be used to incite a response which I am sure will be less than polite.

They changed their mind, Kamisha.

Personally, I'll start my statement off by admitting one thing. Although I am older than most fossils here, I'm not afraid to admit I'm a fool.

Now that that's out of the way, as a (VOLUNTARY) slave, and as asked by the Council, I feel I must post my opinion, so, here goes.

So Seigheart wasn't 100% specific about how things would be run. So Seig changed plans midway and didn't think twice about it.

SO. WHAT.

Seigheart has done more good than bad (IF hes done ANY bad) in the past, with this auction, and as I'm sure he'll do in the future.

I'm a slave, I volunteered for the role, Ledah has my leash and I'm happy as can be.

I DON'T MIND THAT SEIG KEPT HALF THE COIN CAUSE FRANKLY IM GLAD I GOT A FREE ITEM AND ANY COIN AT ALL.

Maybe if everyone stopped being so anal (pardon the language) about this and just enjoyed MD as it's meant to be, the world would be a better place. But that won't happen, so I'm here to put my foot down.

I totally support Seigheart in everything he's done, I don't doubt his credibility, I trust his word completely, and would never doubt him for a second.

I don't care if in the end he looses. I don't care if in the end he wins. I'm just here to say, that no matter what, I have Seighearts back in this all the way, and in general. Seigheart is a great player, and an even better friend. Why do you all feel the need to go out of your way and badger him over some small coin? He had the idea for the slave auction, NOT you. He felt the need to keep half, NOT you. So please, for the love of MUR tell me why ANY of you feel you have even the SMALLEST right to judge Seigheart, because last I checked only Mur could be irrational and the world would still be ok.

That being said I'm done ranting now. My opinion is stated and I stand by it. I won't be posting here anymore unless circumstances change and I feel I'm needed once more.

I became a slave, because the proceedings of the auction would be distributed among the needy and poor,
If I had known he would take half of the coins for himself and not give anything at all to the needy and poor,, I wouldn't have done it.
As for the free item we are supposed to get.
I didn't get any item. The one who bought my leash has the so called "free" item. Not me.

Did you say.. friend? lol. In addition, *cough cough* being a good person doesn't excuse you from being punished. You're opinion of him shouldn't effect the outcome of a trial. I still think they should just start one and see what happens. If it doesn't achieve anything, whatever. At least you tried.

There was a case where one person involved in a trade did not respect the deal. He got jailed.

This time, these mistakes are just considered as slip-ups.

Can I ask the council : what is it that you cannot decide about ?
Seig's own comments are enough to convict him.

Bleah.

This case is between Lone Wolf who brought the case and Seigheart, and
the judgement on it is reserved for those parties. Anyone else wishing
to call a trial or make a claim about this event should do so separately
or email us directly.

Seigheart did initially hold an auction for charity that was called off
at the last minute. Then he ran this one. Cutting and pasting issues
cannot excuse a lack of clarity. The major problem with this case is
that Seigheart has changed what he states regarding how the prize will
be split throughout and after the auction. He was specifically asked who
the money would go to later in the thread and continued to be vague
about it. Seigheart never once made it clear to the participants where
the money would go and as the person holding the event it would be his
job to. In reviewing the posts we find these statements from Seigheart:

...then I deliver your Master's funds for Santa to random people in the
street!
Slaves will get a small bonus at the end for being good slaves.
The gold will be distributed amongst the slaves
Once everyone pays up, the slaves will get their portion of the bids.

Each seems to contradict the next, and being vague regarding this is
not an excuse. He should have set out a concrete auction details at the
start of the auction.

If Lone Wolf wishes it, Seigheart should either give the money gained
from the sale of Lone Wolf to charity in some way (the one stated in the
original thread or one that Lone Wolf approves of) or buy back the leash
(for the amount said donor paid) and give it to Lone wolf.

Since there has been no other comments as for people complaining, we
are assuming that everyone else is happy, and therefore this trial is
closed. [/cquote]

Read the first paragraph, all other claims should be sent by e-mail.
Since the decision is based on the public posts concerning the auction, it'll likely be the same for all other claims.

It's just a fact that this is not 'the people' vs. Seigheart, but Lone Wolf vs. Seigheart.
As the council said, this one is closed, and whether it's right or not doesn't belong into the trials section, and much less in this thread.
