Thursday at 10:36 PM4 days comment_206536 Stepping back into combat, there are a few things I’ve noticed that I just wish were a little easier. I also think most of these could fit quite naturally into the world itself:Rituals: Allow us to create and prepare rituals even when the target/player isn’t currently present. A ritual is something we prepare through our own will and knowledge; the person we intend to affect doesn't necessarily need to be standing in front of us while we prepare it. Premeditated murder, essentially.Ritual presets: Let us save commonly used rituals. Think of these as personal ritual patterns (inner magic designs??) or knowledge we've already mastered, rather than having to reconstruct the same ritual from scratch every time.Creature search: Add a search bar when selecting creatures for rituals.Creature favourites: Please let us favourite creatures so they always appear at the top. These would essentially be the creatures we have formed the strongest familiarity with or rely upon most often.Creature organization: Tags, filters, favourites, and sorting by things like level, rarity, age, stats, etc. Ideally this would be at the top of the creature page. A seasoned warrior, ritualist, or creature handler should be able to organize their knowledge and resources in a way that makes sense to them.Creature grouping: Optionally group duplicates together, such as all Grasan types or all Aramors.Recently used: Have recently used creatures/items appear near the top.None of these would really change the mechanics or make combat easier, just more organized for new comers and fossils. If anyone has other QoL ideas that could also make sense, I'd love to hear them.edit: I realized a lot of the issues I have with creating rituals is if we put the drop down menu at the bottom of the creature page inside the creature ritual maker itself, it would work. Sunday at 02:00 AM2 days comment_206559 Good thread! (Reminds me of https://blog.sbensu.com/posts/friction-logs/, one of which I've been meaning to write up for MD for a while now)A few quality of life requests of my own around the in-game inbox:Threaded messages - would help me keep track of a conversation history better, and especially relevant to reducing clutter now that the auction house sends messages for every time I get outbid on an item.Starred messages - let me star or bookmark the most important messages I getSnoozed messages - let me snooze a message to a point in the future when it'll appear as a new unread message again. This would help me manage responses based on time I actually have available or more generally when the "stars align" and I can actually take action on a request. Report
Sunday at 07:59 AM2 days Root Admin comment_206560 can't implement all now, but they are good ideas and i will do some of them. i think we should dedicate a QoL week, where all i do is just this kind of stuff and not big features.. maybe the week after this one, you will soon see why :D Report

Sunday at 11:50 AM2 days comment_206563 Not sure if this is QoL but it has been bothering me... When you use the invisibility spell your alliance badge still shows up next to your name. With the low population we have it's very easy to guess who it is. Can we hide it? Report

This one is probably less important than the other two for me.Another one that's been bothering me for awhile:I often see announcements first through the Discord channel, but when I click on them to expand them I'm usually on mobile and the logged out layout for new announcements cuts off a good portion of the message making them really hard to read. A responsive layout would be a big plus there in particular! Report

12 hours ago12 hr Root Admin comment_206588 @Ivorak the things you ask are already implemented one way or an other, but overall messages need to handle lots of messages better, i will rethink it these days and see what else i could do to it. Report
12 hours ago12 hr Root Admin comment_206589 @Seigheart adding creature groups can solve several of those things, and makes more intuitive sense especially when having lots. I am a good example to test it on, so i will try to make it easy for myself first Report

You slapped his hand, and now nobody gets to edit their items because of one... person. How close am I. Edited 7 hours ago7 hr by Fang Archbane Report
7 hours ago7 hr Root Admin comment_206593 sort of, he used personal papers to do thst, but this does not mean that that person did not underline a real issue. i admit, having forge items have a way to be somewhat editable via tag and forge itself, was part of the plan. Also via papers, but what a normal person would have used safely, and creatively, others used too agressive for my taste, now all will suffer... if thats what you want to hear.items are considered reality, think of that. reality is shaped by its observers, not just by you..and editing an item "just a bit" would be absolutely fine, but i have no technical way to implement that..its either edit to anything or dont edit at all..and chose dont edit, its safer Report
7 hours ago7 hr comment_206595 I feared that would be the case. I understand, but I am greatly saddened. The only reason I want to edit my items is because I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Literally, all I want to do is fix typos, make all of my tool names MATCH, and organize the layout of each one of my item descriptions to match a preset template. I need symmetry. I need balance. It's literally a mental disorder I have very little say in. I understand your logic and it is fair as a perspective. I just find it ridiculous that ONE person ruined it for everyone, AGAIN.I want to edit because i want to tidy up. He wants to edit because he's an exploiter. We are not the same. But it does remind me of getting hit every time my little brothers did something wrong, just because I happened to be in the same room.A fear I thought I had long grown past. 6 hours ago6 hr comment_206597 This is off-topic, but I feel it is only fair to put my view across.Essentially, yes, I told The Forge exactly what to do using my personal papers. I was never able to get past the moderator, so I wasn't able to get the function I wanted, but the item creation itself generally I was mostly able to control fairly well. I understand it was not appreciated and that I took it too far in my experiments.Just to say, I have never had the ability to edit item names or descriptions to my knowledge - I had A25 and only really used that to implement the scenes for The Foundation, but I gave that up some time ago when life meant I could not consistently spend time helping to add to MD. Plus adding my name to the long list of people to fail/give up on finalising the Shattered Apparation quest.Everything I did apart from that, The Foundation that is, any player could as it was done using normal means and items, earned/gifted/bought etc. by myself. That continues to be the case today. Although you could argue what I have done in the past helped with The Forge.More on-topic, giving the ability to edit names and description is quite an odd thing to want, as you can already request typos being changed, including the occasional \. I also like to think the randomnees in item names, especially the ones from the evo shop for example are part of the value - you can also wait to re-roll the evo shop names if it is very important to you. 5 hours ago5 hr Root Admin comment_206600 yes thats an important thing to say, not even a25 that edit basically the game itself get to edit items. There was a dedicated guild for that, specifically because editing items had to respect certain things that are beyond preventing overpowered items or items that make sense. And yes Ledah only received what he already had, it was also why i was happy when he got the cube, and also why i got so damn upset when i found out how... but what is done is done.back on topic, no item editing. I do want to make everyone happy, not that i care but because i want to see an improvement opportunity in anything anyone asks if possible, so ocd issues are a fun thing to try to help with. Maybe i add ability to organize items in boxes, if i think well i think that could help... how does that sound? Report

I can not accept it however, as what I am after is the ability to make all of my tools follow a simple "Fang's x" not "Fang Archbane's x" on some, and just "Fang's x" on others, etc. It is absolutely maddening.
