So, we have new items. Cool. Some (no all) are looking to gather/buy these items and others are selling. We've all seen this. What about selling items from alts ? is this accepted / acceptable ? And to help those in need, the next question is : how can one get an item ... legally, from his alt ? Would that be possible ? Would a minimum fee be acceptable ? ------------------ I am not interested into the new items (yet) but noticing the growing market ... it just came to me : is this happening ?

Have fun. ------------ 4 DD Depends how you see it. I know that this is not the first time when items have been categorized and it took a lot of time the first time. (see all the mistakenly categorized item topics). So, if you are so "idealistic" as to think that you know best ... should I remind you about your line "a 2 year old knows this" ? Also, these categs. are not to fit for all. They are imposed. I for one don't like these categs . I will live with them but not enjoy nor encourage any changes that'd waste coding time.

You lost me. You'd better waste tens of hours or work every year to adjust ALL items into some categories instead of simply allow the players to categorize them themselves ? I don't know how many "thousands" of items do you exchange everyday so that you can't categorize yours ? I know very well that I'd like to change your predefined categories. Not to mention that you cannot make this new category work unless you remove the category of all items. That's exactly what DD should do, but should do it by himself.

Why do you really want to have categories ? Typical DD bull. More useless work. If you want to change categories, change them so that each can choose categories for his items. This way each can create his own categories.

@Sasha: could be nicer with some realistic stats , those are simply HUGE. There are MP5 that don't have that kind of defense or attack

If this is not a creature ... then disregard all of the below. ------------------------- If it will be a creature ... lets make something never done before in MD, but first, lets consider some naming for them: Level 1: pebble Level 2: cobble Level 3: stone Level 4: rock Level 5: boulder Level 6: Little John Pebble - sort of marble sized, you can get several in one hand. Good for poking someones eye with it. Cobble - well sized stone. Best ammo for a sling shot Stone - up to about fist size or slightly bigger, can be held in one hand. Great for breaking heads. Rock - needs two hands to lug around, you are not going to carry this far. Good for starting an avalanche Boulder - this isn't going anywhere. Where you see it is where it stays. Best cover you can get in a battle. Little John - it ... it moves So, one unconceivable concept would be : growing creatures it with resources (no age requirement, no wins or heat requirements) and thus create the requirement named : "feedings" (a.k.a "3 feedings required" instead of "3 days required") Something like : Pebble to Cobble : need to manually feed the Pebble a few days with sand Cobble to stone : add some more sand Stone to rock : need to manually feed the Stone with some memory stones Rock to boulder : feed it some more stones Boulder to ... John size: need to manually feed it some timeless dust Another unconceivable concept would be : A creature with no default stats Consider that you can feed this creature with 3 or 4 resouces (like sand, stones, timeless dust, or whatever) and its stats will grow accordingly, like adding 1 sand would increase : would increase briskness ( sand moves faster ... with the wind) adding 1 memory stone : would increase randomly attack or defense (as it breaks heads) adding 1 timeless dust : would increase power Unfortunately, the creature will require 23h between feedings. 23h so that you don't lose the days, so you can feed your creature every day at the same time ,lets say between 10:00 and 10:59 and feeding time being stored as just the hour 10. Unconceivable concept number 3 : Unlimited creature As Little John can move, it can also gather resources of his own. (not really collecting resource even if it would be interesting) So, at this level you can feed your creature as much as you want. It could be the first creature that can have 1k attack of its own. Unconceivable concept number 4 : Retraining your creature As all the other creatures, when transfered, keep their heat, this creature should keep all its resources as a bag. When you re-train/re-grow this creature, if it has in its bag the resource you want to use for training it ... it should use that one. Unconceivable concept number 5 : Creature with no predefined targets or skills Each level increase will check the stats and add one or more targets & skills like if you added more sand then anything else, as the creature would be quicker, it should add / increase from "single" attack to "multiple" to "all" and will add "slow" as ability if you added more memory stones then anything else, as the creature gets more precise, it should add / increase add the "slow", "weaken" and "sharp shooting" for timeless dust, it should gain "defend", "martirism" Or, for a certain number or resources across all levels it should gain a certain target or ability, like: for 20 sand, gain slow for 40 sand, 10 stones, gain weaken for 20 stone, 3 timeless dust , gain martirism for 40 sand, gain target multiple and so on. The only problem is that even if the creature learns all those skills and targets, it will only use what is default set in the creature page. So you can change there how it will behave in all the already set rituals. (this is so that you don't have to change the combat framework except from checking the target & skill before a combat) I will think for more later ... if you find it interesting.

Couldn't it be possible to have such things extended to Alliance level ? I know that for some lands there is just one alliance, but not always. Also :) once you disband an alliance, you can leave its content there as a treasure :D

@Ary: :) I am not against having 2 stacks of resources. It would finally allow me to harvest separate stacks of herbs for sale purpose. I even like the "stromgbox" for alliance / land. Not to mention that the land inventory / (i forgot the exact name used) ... was mentioned since the very first land war when the points won were split among lands.

Yes, splitting resources is ... forbidden denied, no doubt about it, not gonna happen. Yes, having a strongbox would allow each player to have 2 stacks of resources (as Change pointed out) . Yes, what Ivorak said could be possible but would require a lot of extra work [spoiler] [/spoiler] What was not mentioned before is that there is already a feature that works like this , actually 2 features: - creature books / bestiaries - creature tokens Both features promised, at their start, that the creatures could be retrieved thus allowing a larger pool of creatures then maximum allowed. (please don't argue that now this is not the case with the bestiary) With the above feature(s), it seems only natural to have smth like strongbox but as MD is nothing like RL ... natural does not mean it will happen :P Also, instead of a strongbox, currently I use the Dst's leash so ... I guess ... if this feature gets implemented she will be a lot happier and you might have a chance on Dst's Leash next time.

Darn: dst said it first WP rating has most of the times been subjective. And, just like in your own case, most WP rewarding quests cannot be checked unless there is a big mess on the forum. Why not ask for Mur to give an amount of GC for the WP based on his mood ? that's be a lot more fair. (some sarcasm included)

12 ... 12 ... darn this is huge. Many changes, lots of them in lot of important places. As most of the comments above are ... about positive things, then I guess ... I have to add some of the negative ones. SO: Many sacred things became tainted, many things that seemed impossible now became achievable & attainable. Good things: - a process of logging / documenting features is started & agreed - new places can be created ... easier - old places can be edited, adjusted and improved - lots of new items can now be bought for just 1$ (i think, I didn't checked) - finally there is something to wastespend your money on : items - there is a new shop section ... for the new items - and many many bugs (and features) have been fixed Best of all : Mur is working again. Bad things: - the most sacred thing of all are now lost * Labyrinth loyalty can now be acquired ... indeed for a fair price * and yea Labyrinth has a king (that's what the announcements say ) - MD property is proven to no longer be inviolable without personal agreement (yea, I talk about revive/kill items) - acts of kindness/level are no longer free (again, I talk about revive/kill items requiring gold) - new items have been released are useless (as said : they are RP items) - futile expectations - as there is nothing sure about items (see the kill/revive items) new RP items give a slight perspective of getting some use in future - items that would have been available for just 1WP are now at 1sc ... sure, the items are no longer UNIQUE but still, "1WP=1sc" ?!?!? - spoilers are still classified - The Hidden Council does not exist anymore Worst of all: Mur is unstoppable :P . Joking, that is good ... most of the times

It is not that I don't want more money or smth, but I also consider other things. I always consider my greed's impact on MD. And for MD's sake I would want that WP .

I agree with Chew on this and its following statements and I agree with other points stating that WPs are not to be compared in value based on GC/SC. Before I continue, I have to state that WPs can be bought far cheaper and that is called an abuse or fraud (specially specified for DD as he seems to lack the understanding of this), it has been done before and will be done in the future too. ------------- As some suggested and some other agreed: - the WPs are undervalued (8GCs) - you get lots of WPs for simply logging into MD (see the age related WPs) - the server runs on credits So, ok, give the WP more credits. Get the wish deeper into the wish-shop. So what ? If the server lacks just 1 credit, the game will be down no matter how many WPs you have or spent. If you want credits and like MD then buy them or use the free credit page (you'll see that you can get faster to 8$ then earning a new WP). Ofc the WPs are undervalued. WPs are only used in MD. Credits are used in RL. Also, as there are lots of references lately for other games ... when did you see the game's market reflect real values of items ? C'mon. The game must survive somehow, not your welfare. I say: don't change the value & get the WP deeper in wish shop.

All who read that announcement understood the implication of it (or should have). And everyone understood that now there will no longer be any resurrect out of pure random act of kindness. And, unfortunately, there are some (like you) that go with it ... with the change instead of rebelling against it. You saw fit to use this "unfortunate" event to sell / promote your ... "selfishness" . And coming to your announcement: How many will have your tokens in those 3 months ? How many know that they will be killed in the next 3 months ? Bleah. Anyway I, as everyone who has a revive items ... I think, will request (depending on the target) that gold if a revive is requested (and accepted). But we're not making such a shameless advertisement on it. It is was an act of kindness to use it, now it become a merchandise. I disagree with the item's adjustment and I will promote my disagreement. And you can always count on me to point fingers to those that try to make a name / fortune on the back of the less fortunate ones.

It has been reported a couple of times before as either "not working" or "unused clickie" but still I click on it from time to time. As long as it is closed for all, then there should not be any problem. Keep the door :P as is (I wouldn't want to fall out of MD).

If you're talking about the flashy thing that counts the days then ... I hate it. Sometimes, the darn thing takes 1 minute to finish the counting and uses lots of resources.. Since using the addblock plus I removed it from my interface. If it will be fixed ... I'd suggest to make it count in less steps (like 10-20 steps) or remove the counting for good and just display the last state.
