:) maybe there should be a topic where the all the quests & rewards to be kept. (we have the archivists, don't we). That way it can be marked when a reward has been given and also there is a clear track of what kind of rewards were ever given.

Lost ... as in you can't see a thing in the scene if the Viscosity is at max ? Do you remember how MD is advertised ? With hand-drawn graphics. Do you really want to hide that ? Also, do you remember how viscosity works ? that one player can never lower viscosity to 0 ? meaning that in large lands, most scenes will be at max because there are very few ppl traveling them and very few destinations to visit. I am not saying that I am against this feature, I just pointed how I see it after reading your comments.

I didn't wanted to join this topic, but I have to protect the Quest Creators, in this case Nim. So, please read it careful and try to understand that it is our best interest to keep things under control. All those quests have something related to MD : "MD" has to be present in pictures & proof that it is yours or it is discussed / presented / role played in MD. Forum "quests" with no requirements, no announcements and no judges ... is Mur's specialty. He and he alone does that. He did that since the very beginning and this is how MD started and how MD works. Only that sometimes they are called "favors" , "gifts", "experiments", "features", "tests" and so on. True, many tried but ... lets face it: no judges means that you pass WPs as you please (on personal reasons) which is abuse and it was fought against. So, without disrespect to Mur ... he is forgetting stuff, so you should regard his behavior as his privilege. If Mur will try to push this idea "The only real judge of quest quality are you those that participate in it" ... the he should be reminded of RPCs that traded WPs ... because they could.

[spoiler] [/spoiler] Anyway, the question : which is true between "old idea of flat world" and "new idea of round world" it is a trick question. But a fun one. Similar to : what is the true color of something. When after breaking that something to atoms you see that atoms don't have color. So, it all depends on context. The world is flat : correct. (see the second picture posted by Mur). The context is : an island. Living on a land surrounded by water only proves that the world is flat. Imagine that for thousands of years, longest trips ppl made were resumed to same geographic areas. Where ppl could "blame' the Earth curve on hills and mountains. Now, as ppl evolved and expanded the context ... it all came natural to "see" the true map over larger and larger geographical areas. Also, continuing to evolve and expand, humans found the other planets , star systems and even galaxies but also found atoms and even quarks, leptons and bosons. Even if they are seen as fantasy now ... do remember that "round world" was considered a fantasy for a long time. So, from history point of view, this "flat world" is an interesting and fun story (now). Now that you make analogies, mystical and metaphysical comments ... I am sorry. I like my discussion to be focused on a well defined context and exact problem. Everyone is entitled to believe whatever they want (as long as you don't believe too loud). pff, everybody knows the Earth is flat. Do you want to know a proof ? You all know that there were attempts to reach the other side by going down ... by digging. You all know that is said tat China is on the other side of the world (for Europe). Well .. considering that Earth is just a plate ... what they made public is that they "found" was to be called "oil" or "petroleum". You don't believe me ? Just go near an "oil rig" and then near a toilet. They reached the bottom of their toilets. It is the proof that they reached the other side. They just don't want to make the travel cheap so they're not releasing it to public.

Well, Powle beat me to it. Anyway, I can propose you to reproduce the experiment. While Eratosthenes just shows that the "sun is rotating around the Earth" :P or that "Earth is rotating", I propose you to use the Earth's gravity to check that the Earth is round. So, using Eratosthenes proof that "sun is rotating around the Earth", considering that light travels almost linear, build a weight attached to a rod (like ... a fish pole fishing a balloon with water) to "seek" / "point to" center of the Earth. Take at least 2 measurements of shadow & angles to where the weight is pointing. Best thing is to coordinate with other ppl and make the measurements at the same time at great distances. After some math ... you'll get some angles which would prove that the Earth is round. Also, if yo want to get further proofs, you'll need to travel from one hemisphere to the other and check the reading on the measurements that I've mentioned above. ------------------------------------------- If you still don't believe it ... then don't even try to prove it. It is a hoax. The Earth is flat.

Consider that I don't have a massive brain malfunction, I can read and think and I want to keep my avatar. How can I keep the current avatar and still buy a new one?

I opened my page and I see next to my avatar these 4 choices: Transfer avatar to your vault (Free) Replace current avatar (1 credit, current avatar goes to shop) Replace avatar and transfer current avatar to your vault (2 credits) Discard avatar, returns it to MDShop (you receive 1 credit) Well, without filling the ATC field I can't transfer the avatar to vault as it sais : "No ATC entered" and then it breaks the page. If I want to take the ATC from my own avatar and use it ... it does nothing. The question is : How can I take a new avatar ?

And so on ... meaning what ? Attack 100% or 0% Defense 100% or 0% Luck 100% or 0% and so one ... what ? It was meant to go both or nothing. This is how was designed so that ppl would have difficulties in setting their fights. I would argue against this feature and I will tell you why : because of the grinders. And you should talk with Mur about this. I remember that once (very very long time ago, when he and I were talking face 2 face) he mentioned that by having this limit it will limit the players from choosing to fight with either lots of power & VE or none at all. And I would agree with that opinion. If one chooses to gather 1mil VE and 1mil attack&def, why should he have 100% power influence and 0% ve influence. Think of it like this : the strong players just like the weaker players - will be unable to have strong rituals without having a large amount of their VE in that ritual - or will be unable to save their VE and still have a strong ritual Also, how will the tokens be taken into consideration at 100% ? for 0% power influence or 0% ve influence or both ?

I kind of find it interesting that an "excommunicated" l should have the same status as a normal criminal. As I know, the "excommunicated" have a special status. So maybe it is a bug but maybe a feature. Now ... let master Chew take its time.
