My problem with previous torch competitions is that I couldn't find any player with the torch on the opponent side so I couldn't score

I'm not sure how difficult it is to implement this but here is my suggestion.
A citizen can grab a torch from his capital, he then travels to the other capitals to score, let's call him the torch bearer.
However, when a torch bearer moved into a scene with citizens of the land he is in, he will not be able to move until all defenders(citizens + mercenaries) of that land on that scene are defeated/killed in battle.
Sheath = Defeated; Sheath Ballance = Killed
If a torch bearer is killed, he will lose his torch and die for 25 minutes.
If a torch bearer is defeated, he will be disabled (move-locked and attack-locked) in place for 10 minutes without losing the torch.
If a defender is killed, he will die for 30 minutes and then teleport to the capital he is defending after the cool down.
If a defender is defeated, he will be disabled (move-locked and attack-locked) for 10 minutes.

So, it will be more like a blockade game.

I do agree, if someone wants the price to start at something they should put a min bid. Otherwise expect low bids. IN A TRUE AUCTION that person wins the prize if they bid a dollar and noone else does. In this auction house people get to chose wether or not they want to complete the transaction unless stated that it will sell by a certain date. If they specify a date and the bid is still a dollar, the person should have to sell that item/creature/etc for that price.

Why hold someone to a higher standard because they've been around longer than you? That's something called prejudice and it is hardly something to construct an argument upon. These sorts of sentiments are the reason I have no respect left for the people who were vets when I was new, sure they may have been great, but they do not deserve respect if they cannot earn it themselves, which is not done by quitting the game, "waiting and watching", etc.

Anyways, to put it simply: vets don't have special powers, though they may know more than you, that's easily remedied (take note, I did not say quickly remedied). That, and life if incredibly dull without someone to hate, without a villain, and that is what SoS was really for to begin with (sort of). I congratulate No one on trying to do what I, and at some points, Granos himself could never really do.

So I have decided I want to become a Fairy Princess. MD has dwarves, elves, idiotic people. Why not have a Fairy Princess.
I also want to change my name to Piss Piss. And I will run around MD and sprinkle fairy dust on everybody. The fairy dust will itch so everybody will scratch like crazy.

I will also have a familiar called Pumpkin. He'll be a twocorn (a mutated unicorn) and he'll have all the colors of the rainbow.

Also, make a separate password for games sites. If possible one for each gaming site. You never know what's behind them.
And if you think you have too many passwords, there's a small program called KeePass that can store all your passwords and usernames. And that program can only be accessed with a master password .

Ok, since this is already in offtopic... Wouldn't it be interesting if a character could have a theme song? And it could override location music... and if there were multiple chars with theme music the server would decide who was most important (by age and/or active days, or whatever) and play their music.

I know I'd start to laugh every time I heard the start of Dance of the Sugarplum Fairie.
