  1. I've decided for the reward based on a participation of 6 people in MP5 group. Eon decided to not play, unfortunately, and lower participation leads to a lower reward. That's how all the SGCs worked, and that's how all further SGCs will work. It's a pity that so few bother to try, and since my rewards are not as plentiful as those of Mur, I can't give out WPs and pricey creatures for contests with just a few people in them.
  2. Unfortunately Eon decided to leave the contest due to the complications that come with having an MP6 in her group. So Al and Amo pretty much just fight to get the easier semi-final opponent now <.< Might have to change the MP5 price now, too, participation is dropping before the combat time runs down already >.>

[/quote] When people leave out bits without knowing what they need, they often leave out pretty important bits. Even more so when it's for bugfixing.
  7. I could imagine that there's a little problem with adding the lost defence again still. My guess is the following: While weaken applies, defence gets lowered as it should, when it says 'effect ended', it stops being lowered (is lowered by 0), and in the following round the full defence that was drained before gets rebuilt. That's all the stuff that's fine. Then in the next round, the defence that was drained gets restored AGAIN, turning the drain into an increase, and this continues every round until weaken gets applied again. I fear that us guinea pigs didn't provoke this effect because we always used all -.- I have a log against willow's guards with a newbie account i made ages ago that indicates such. I've done the maths for slot 2, Marind Bell Guard, and marked him with blue for normal behavior and with red when system increased his def accidentally. Check rounds 4 til 15.   8. Token boost is 80% still, i assume. So, for example, 1*1,8 is 1,8, assuming that the possible resource fractions are only .25, .5 and .75, that'd round down to 1,75. Feel free to do the maths to find out how many ways exist to get to 10,25. That you can't explain how to get somewhere usually doesn't mean that there's no way to get there, even more so when it IS there already.

  11. Quite obviously such developments are necessary, because people get rich and strong very fast and forget to do anything for the community on the way. Undoubtedly you consider yourself very active, with all that being online and grinding away the day. But how many quests have you created? How many events managed? How often did you do something to move the realm? Some people spend a lot of time with MD and create something interesting and worthwhile, not just their own stats. These should get rewarded for their continued effort, and not just the people who spend a whole lot of time with their stats and alts. And beyond doubt, rewarding age promotes this cause very well. For example, Metal Bunny has done the most exquisite quests you could find, Awii writes brilliant stories, Tarquinus does poems and event management. A whole lot of time the server can't track because they are not even online when working for MD. People spend weeks with hardly any online time, and still do a lot more than all the grinders together. These get their share of the pie with age rewards.

  13. This tournament will be a little more difficult than the former competitions. Generally, everything except for spells is allowed this time. Any shop creatures and tokens are allowed, as are tokens, combo and all that. However, and here's the fun bit, tokens that are used can change the behavior of your opponent greatly. As usual, it'll be a 1 on 1 tournament, and you win against an opponent by winning the outgoing as well as the incoming fight against them. The defender uses a ritual with 0% influence and announces a token count to the attacker. The defender obviously mustn't use more than the announced count, but he has the strategic freedom to announce a higher count than what he actually uses (aka, put the attacker on a wrong trace). For every token in this announced count, the attacker can use either 5k combo OR 1 token OR 5% pray power, mixtures possible, in the attacking ritual. As examples: The defender announces 0 tokens. In this case, the attacker has to fight with 0%, 0 combo and 0 tokens as well. The defender announces 20 tokens. In this case, the attacker could use 20 tokens, or 100% influence, or 100k combo, or a mixed strategy of, for example, 6 tokens, 50k combo, and 20% influence. Just like the defender can play with announcing a higher count, the attacker doesn't have to use up all the points they could. If there were 5 tokens announced, the attacker could as well play with 4 tokens, no combo and no influence and let the last available point open. If one of the two fighters goes over the announced count, the fight counts as won by the other party. In this game, such a failure doesn't lead to disqualification because it really could happen easily. Don't sign up if you have problems with maths <.< 'Useless' tokens count for the token count, of course! Rewards depend on the level of participation, as usual. I've asked Mur if he'd allow the addition of a similar warning as the archives have, but he told me that he doesn't want then edited, but rather hidden until their fate is decided.

  23. This would only serve to make grinders invincible in Heads. As it is, you can play heads without being strong, if you have smarts, connections and activity. If the only thing counting was mere strength, we might as well compare our stats and creatures and decide for a winner on that, no contest needed. If you have a problem with sleep and work, i've taken 4 days off to play the only HC i was in and bought 3 packs of coffee to make sure i don't run out. For the few days that count, it works fairly well. You should have 1 day spare to sleep before going back to work, though, specially if you are to handle heavy machines...
  24. You can't enchant a stone if you have less than 5 casts of the spell yourself. And the stone gets 3 casts when you have all casts left, not 4.
  25. Maybe a sun in eclipse (a bright ring around a dark orb) with drops of dust dripping from the orb. These could loosely from the edges of a symbol, obviously, maybe paired with little shiny stars over the eclipse. Combination of light and dark edges to veil the matrix even more, if you like.
