1.
I would say that many of the vets do give guidance about things being allowed, I have a group of people who will come if i think X or Y is alright, and i would guess that many others have friends that will come to them to ask questions regarding the laws. To me, you are trying to set something up, which in effect has already been set up because social norms already has it. You have groups of friends that you trust and ask if things are correct.
That's exactly what happened with Ailith, too. She already was doing the work she was tagged for before she was tagged for it (neutral mediator), yet her word counted more after she was officially recognized. If you ask people about loopholes these days, it's just an informal, personal opinion, and more often than not we just gamble around the edges of 'He hasn't done anything about it yet, it'll probably slip through unnoticed'. With people who are doing official statements on such matters, you have more... call it security. Mur mentioned that the advisor idea could evolve into a legal insurance, even, if the people at it are versed enough. It might be something we're doing already, but when people are doing it with Mur-ish backup, it gets a lot more weight. Just like the asterikses for LHOs, the content stays the same, but the authority behind it changes.
2. That's a great idea, i love it! Why would you need a guild with an odd number of members to do that? This is not intended as judging panel as i read it, but more as advocats, people that help clear something up for people preemptively, and not punish them after they have done wrong. If each single of the law advisors is to know about every rule etc., there is no reason why they would need to stick their heads together over everything before answering to some newbies. And it's designed as ingame feature, not a forum mods, so there's no need for a forum branch imo. The advisors are to be accessible for newbies, and at least read the forums to see when something comes up, but if at all, the best section for that stuff is Q&A. As i understand it, this feature can start right away, no further modifications needed, just Mur's word that he actually means it. And of course i'm in for it
3. I know you're fed up with reading my opinions by now (), but doing WP-inflation on the lower end and still keeping elite feature elite is exactly what's not happening now. The wishes are still at the same spent points requirements, which means that there's no actual inflation yet, but only more money printed which still buys things at the same price. For example, access to writing things on items, one of the most influential things you can get in that shop, is now very easily achievable. When you really give out 10 WPs in ways that are, call it easy instead of cheatable, but don't adjust the spent wishes requirement for big things, anybody will buy k-doc collection, anybody will edit items, and anybody can write scene subtitles. Inflation yes, printing more money without real inflation no.
4.
Ann. 1324 - [2010-03-07 02:19:12 - Alpha 9] Not so long ago i issued a warning regarding alt abuse for taking advantage of the 5 credit promotion. Some of you ignored you. First to go is Ledah. 59 alts baned, main account imprisoned for undefined time. He can get out on special occasions or if someone with unban power decides so. Escaping the prison by other ways will increse punishment severely. For gathering silver from alts, all his items (2) and 98 silver got confiscated. For doing the crime so soon after a public warning (or during) not to do so he also receives a secondary punishment: attack reduced from 900+ to 1, defence reduced from 300+ to 1, power reduced from 200+ to 1. Kicked from alliance with 25% loyalty penalty.

Ann. 1605 - [2010-08-23 17:04:22 - Stage 10] Please take note that it is not permitted to use avatars as a way of transfering credits. Starting from tomorrow, transfer of avatars between alts will be restricted.

Ann. 1711 - [2010-12-24 23:25:09 - Stage 10] So, you should know that gifts were released a bit earlier, without the NEW restrictions. Today they were applied and you should know that now there is a activity requirement in order to get the gifts. IT IS NOT A BUG. Check you activity rating (total number of active days over max of your accoun, in profile page). This was done unannounced, in order to prevent alts from "harvesting" xmas gifts.
Beyond any doubt, the transfer of silver, avatars and other gifts between alts is not allowed. That some folks weren't punished yet doesn't mean that they have done right, as you see even silver is too much to shove around, therefore unique items are even more so. Including Enchanted Stones, yes, big brother IS watching. Mur never bothers for a few abusing something, but when it gets too far, there'll be severe punishments. [Edit: As Kafuuka linked while i was searching announcements]
5. Happy birthday, Darky! *smooch*
6. After round 1, Udgard's team is in the lead with 7-3 points. Looking forward to the second round

That happens to me at times because of connection issues. You log in, the request gets sent, and then you lose connection and return to the log in screen when you refresh. (Yeah, my internet is weird enough for that to actually happen to me regularly <.<) If that happens, you should be logged already, and can work around the log in procedure and the cooldown that comes with it by entering magicduel(dot)com/layout(dot)php as URL.
8. Pardon me, but i fear you're the one not getting it. The gates used to be completely locked from both ends, it's a very recent development that you could walk out through them, and a relatively anti-intentional one, too. That bridge isn't just there to keep things out, but also to keep things in. Not so long ago, there was no way to leave Golemus at all, not even the maze. Take the backdoor if you don't like the front, you really have enough opportunities to get out these days...
9. Ann. 1446 - [2010-04-23 17:03:19 - Alpha 9] Low quality avatars will be from now on sent to personal vault when accepted, without a credit reward. You can discard them so they turn up in the shop in exchange for 1 credit. This is so because low quality avatars affect MD image but at the same time if you want to use your own art for an avy you should do so. Only good quality avatars will be accepted in exchange for the 3credits shop price.
10. The gates are forever open, but only for the chosen. If you're unhappy with the ap cost, you can always get out through the backdoor. If that wasn't there, i'd agree that it's too much, but since it is... nothing to worry about. I'm rather curious how Necro will be done, these gates could really turn into a trap.
11. Captains, please name a second in command for your team, seems there's a need for that. I'd like the first round to take place soon after the heads contests are over, like friday or saturday next week, please arrange a time with your people.
12. Saturday is okay, no later than 4:30, though. 4 if you want a proper explanation round. You simply took too long, now my own schedule gets in the way, we have some festivities to prepare for August 15th
13. I think we're not quite there yet, to me the big bang to introduce 11 would be the new MP6.
14. Using alts for that purpose boils down to being present in several locations at once, reading the chat of several locations and receiving/sending PMs in several locations. Try doing that with one account and see how many illegal action reports you get. Boo for several incarnations of the same character. Independent characters, okay, but the same char with multiple ids just for the sake of being present is obviously circumventing the rules on how PMs get sent and how chat is read.
You can have multiple accounts, to try out story, to experince new ways of play etc ..., however if you are detected that you are using them just to help one of your main accounts , all of them including the main will get banned.
15. At least the land loyalty count is visible across all levels. Probably it's no bug, but i can't see how that would be intended, either. I just wanted to kind of bring it up before MP6 gets widely available (or not, who knows).
16. MP6 can't see descriptions. MP6 can't see the land loyalty tooltip. MP6 can send messages to themselves. (Ohkay, not exactly a big problem... xD) Will update as i find more things.

Probably you should have 2 classes of herbs, directly useables and resource ones. Like, useable herbs that give VE, AP, heat, drain VE, AP, heat with option to use on somebody else (itching powder or nettles, such things), maybe also herbs that increase stats for some time, or make certian creatures unuseable for a while (wolfsbane, anybody? ) The other type could be purely a resource for other means, like... base for making colors, poisons, antidotes, etc. Unfortunately i'm extremely useless concerning herbology, no clue what types could do such things. There could also be a variety of tools to use the herbs, some need to be cut, some boiled, others dried, and some are helpful in raw form. Just a bunch of thoughts, somebody with actual herbology knowledge might know what plant does what
18. Sure, next week is still fine with me. Maybe we can play the pattern faster than one a week, then, since you get to make the times as they fit for your teams.
19. I've left it to you to find a time that suits you and your teams, if you can't handle that, i'll put up a schedule as with all the other events.
20. Not their fault, Chewie. It's past midnight in a few places already, the forum shows 21st for them earlier than for us. Probably you could arrange the clock to run on servertime for everybody, too? Happy b-day, Curry

Wrong case just leads to a failed spell, not a disabled spell, though. ' in the line, but not in the saved words, gives the following message:
<magicduel.com> Error: SyntaxError Err description: undefined Err number: undefined Err message: at index 4: expected ';', got 'have' Ajax response: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's a Kiley' and location = '1_0x2_1' and npc = 0' at line 1You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's a Kiley' and location = '1_0x2_1' and npc = 0' at line 1 alert('Spell failed, check casting'); document.chatmsgform.msg.value=''; do_refreshchat();
Also, even the fully correct words don't do the trick if combined with words before it. 'Burning Shield for Kiley' worked, 'Crate a Burning Shield for Kiley' did not. Since i have a lot of spells to test currently, i'll update regularly with new findings. A solitary letter added before the saved words, or a wrong case used in the spell words, is sufficient to make the spell fail, but unlike before it comes out as failed spell instead of normal text. I guess one can argue how good the natural casting worked right after implementation, but now it's just like before, with the difference only being that there's no - anymore. I DID like the 'natural casting' a lot, and i'd like to see it return

Ars Alchemy: 2k sounds good : [Spell] Then that's a little bath of heat for Ars Alchemy *Burns*: Did it work? *Burns*: Popped some error... : *Burns* failed to cast a spell Ars Alchemy: *Burns*: Let's try again... : [Spell] Bath of heat for Ars Alchemy *Burns*: Ah, good to know... Spell #1 popped an ugly error message and gave no VE, but costed heat and a cast, Spell #2 worked fine. The magic words are 'bath of heat for'. I suspect that the first try didn't work out because of the ' in the sentence, which is kind of bad for fluent casts, even more so since it's not in the list of prohibited characters in the outer circle description. I guess it requires some more testing, but if nobody knows, nobody can do something about it
