i've never been that good in physics, but i think to remember that i once heard that mass is energy and vice-versa, so the energy of the chaos could create mass, right? like in that CERN-collision thingie where huge energy and very little mass creates a lot more mass and less energy, if i understood that so far... so i guess Kafuuka is right, as he usually is, but nonetheless nothing (waves, or example) can contain energy, and if energy is there, mass can be created, correct? :/ have fun with my random thoughts based on half-knowledge and wikipedia XD

wait a moment... No one, i value your opinion, but i _dearly_ hope that Mur has such proofs and just doesn't want to show them off at the moment, becasue if Light did only gather heads with one account, the ban would be totally unreasonable, and Mur doesn't make such decisions lightly... i assumed it to be clear that Light used more than one account to play in this contest, and mur took this as reason to ban him, because if Light just uses his accs one after the other to win the contest on fair terms, 'tis absolutely wrong to ban him... seriously, you cant ban people because they are better than the rest O_o
-
i think he should permantently lose the bunch of mp2 (who the hell is that desperate for honor and stats? LOL), but have the rest of his accs which he actually used to play back...
-
why would anybody with all teir marbles together go for mp3 contest? that one is just no fun, you are either the strongest or not... but in high-level contests, it is incredibly funny to go for a headhunt... you can win mp3-contest by brute strenght, and any vet _could_ show you what strenght on mp3 really means (take libs mp3 as example =P), but the mp5 contest with the improved victory-rules is just a lot more fun... real thinking and real fights, not mere grasans beating up each other until it's over LOL and training new accounts until they are going to win mp5 contest is boring, because they need tons and tons of age -.- btw: this is exactly the reason why i won't create another alt for HC...
-
i might be wrong with that, but chaos is per definitionem not ordered, if i understand the idea of it correctly... chaos does necessarily mean that there is no order you could find, all you could see is the opposite/abscence of order

dito unlike Smarty, simply isn't stating anywhere that anybody would not get rewards, so i assume anybody bright enough can get a reward from him... on the other hand, i strongly suggest to bring the 'one-drachorn-rule' back =P

you can find all rankings in the old announcements (they never get deleted, and that's for a good reason, you can learn a lot about the game development there^^) if you are too lazy to search for them manually, ctrl+f and "head contest ended" will take you to all the results for detailed results you will have to speak with the players who won in the HC you are searching, those are not listed
even if i dont have time to play for half a year i would keep logging in everyday to make sure to keep my avy. logging in takes 10seconds of the 24hours of ur day. i also think that a lot of avys are on alts as well. i think the problem lies somewhere else... to log in 15 days each month is no problem. it would be best if there was a way to determine if a player is really active and let avys only stay on active accounts. by active i mean really playing not login in each day for a few mins.
i had the same thought, but got to a serious trouble in it: who decides what activeness is? is an RPC active for MD when he's offline writing a quest? is a player who is roleplaying to be bound to one inaccessible point inactive because he's not walking around to show people his avi? how many lines do you have to write per day to be active? if you can't answer that questions, you can't determine activeness... whereelse inactiveness is easily found, and to use your example: if you take the time to log in everyday, you must obviously plan to come back, else you wouldn't bother, right?
-
i dislike the idea of losing my avy once i go for a two weeks holiday :/ and i also dislike paying for it every month, as this is planned as really long term game... i would suggest that you lose your avi when you are inactive for more than 10% of your last active day-count, or at least 10 days [idk what the age req for buying an avy is], where inactive means not logging into the game (if you come around, and even if you come just for free creds, you are more or less planning to get involved again some time and shouldn't lose your avy imo) meaning to say, older players can keep their avy for a longer period than younger players, as they showed activenes already, which should be honored imo apart from that: hell no, i don't want to pay a dollar for the avy each month... maybe they should become more expensive to buy, though, as it seems as if a lot of people have huge demand and there's very limited supply... law of the market^^ EDIT: just to make sure you get my point: player A, some little nooby-player, just reached the age req for an avy, sent 5 dollar to mur, bought an avy and then leaves the game. said player A would then lose the avy after 10 consecutive days of not loging into the game (once in ten days is manageable, even when you are on holidays in australian outback or something the like... in worst case, get someone to do it for you) and the avy goes back to the shop another anonymous Player, let's call him Wookie, with 600 active days and an avi, could take a break of up to 60 days (600 x 10%) before logging in again and would still not lose the avatar, the added time-frame he gets is the reward for playing actively for so long however, 15 days per month means logging in every second day, and if you forget to log in for a week before moving to a new house, for example, because you are busy with other things in general, or if you have computer issues or such, and come back to see your avatar being lost as you only had 14 active days in that month? that doesn't seem like a good solution to me... [i only clicked that answer because the system wouldn't let me vote unless i choose something on the second question xD]

i voted yes for obvious reasons (he's amongst the few i consider my friends in MD), but like Udgard, and like Mur already claimed in chat yesterday evening, i think that a serious punishment is to be considered... nothing as nice as Fenrirs prison-tour or a stat-reduction, however, he'd recover from both within weeks, i'd rather say that he needs some creative kind of punishment like a permanent account-upgrade to mp7 or something the like, making him unable to fight AT ALL until Mur sees fit to 'lift' the punishment and get him back to mp5 [sorry light, but what you did is very wrong =P] and... there was something else i wanted to add... oh, right, i don't think that this should be done in general, but Lightsage is a special case imo... he's proven to be too dumb to stick to any rules just because they are there, but he might learn it the hard way, whilst the rest of the banned accounts was not worth the trouble of sticking to the rules [creating an acc like that is really hard work, while creating 'normal' accounts is a matter of 2 weeks at max]

we have discussed the evilness of cookies and cakes in various threads, so i guess the centaur wants to destroy you BECAUSE you have cookies
QUOTE (Burns) if you decide to not stick to mur's rules, well, don't do it, but expect to be caught some day and lose everything you cheated for... but as long as Mur is not in the mood to enforce his rules, you can gain from cheating, it's as easy as that biggrin.gif <--- not my smiley!! quote-cheater!! Encouraging the abuse of terms? Shame on you, aren't you an RPC biggrin.gif
how dare you 'quoting' me and changing my smiley?!?!! =P and no, i'm no RPC... though honored to be mistaken as one and, really, the illusions are not strong enough to beat a really good ritual, one of the sort that's strong enough for winning a HC these days... strength is not everything and even if players manage to take you out with an mp2, they will need to sit around with their heads to score, and you can just take them back... and if they go to another mp-level, you don't need to care for them anymore becasue they are gone for both you and your fellow fighters on mp3... to summarize, i fail to see the unfairness... if the mp2 are stronger than you, outsmart them, they are extremely limited in their creature-choice

i would be the last person to say that such behavior would be okay, DB, but as long as you don't get caught there's no problem, right? this is not a discussion on what should and what should not be allowed, because mur clearly states that it is not allowed, it's about things that are actually happening out there, that's very different from what is and what is not morally okay LOL if you decide to not stick to mur's rules, well, don't do it, but expect to be caught some day and lose everything you cheated for... but as long as Mur is not in the mood to enforce his rules, you can gain from cheating, it's as easy as that

one word: unfairness  Death, YOU might use an alt to see what's happening... players don't need to do that and if everybody does so, it's equality in unfairness, right? so who cares? there will definitely come a contest when mur will ban all those who do use multis, but til then, everything is unfair for everybody... and as you correctly quoted, you will only get banend IF you get detected, so find ways... and live with the mortal peril of having all your accs deleted if mur ever feels like checking players activity during heads LOL PS: only current accs, not future accs... you can always come back and play a socalled 'fair' game, and it's totally easy to win a contest without alts... lot's of players do it all the time XD
-
i think that question is rather historic, seeing the long alliance-less-ness (is that a word? xD) of you and dst... people must think we were brawling to get a hold of you in our different allies, just becasue you are strong  and... well, you don't need any pacts, do you? i think the only persons out there who could beat dst up are lifeline and eigger, and i'm not even sure about these two, seeing the nice aces dst has hidden up her sleeves *hehe* uh, edit: nice sig, lightsage... and they say i'm being pompous =P

if we really want the dog dead, i suggest having a wild college-style beer party in the sanc instead... then i'd eventually come dropping in, too =) Want you bad - Offspring

Is it just me, or is the friend list bugged atm? after all my friends it shows the message that deleting a friend will cost some ap and xp in huge letter, making the list rather long and harder to read... it can't be intended to look that way i mean, sure, doesn't hurt anybody, but if it's not just me, Mur might want to look over the code again and make it look fancier xD

Golemus brought instability because it was not there in the beginning, but formed by wizards... it's a land that was created by mankind, not by nature, and the shades were nature's answer to that instability Akasha's story is not that long or hard to understand after all XD EDIT: because in this case it doesn't really matter if i point ppl to your thread or if i summarize it, and as you posted the genesis in a read-only-thread, we can't discuss the matter there... and obviously, there is something that needs to be discussed, else Esme wouldn't ask for a discussion

why not place the full chat message at all the places surrounding the dojo? idk how about willow's these days, but all other places are kind of deserted anyway, so the message would stay there for all the 6 hours (?) all by itself... in the manner of 'hey, if you go on to MDP, you reach a dojo, where following rules blahblah rubbish', and in dojo itself, it would then be sufficient to print *DOJO* into chat when it vanishes... that way it's easier to have conversations in dojo, as this message only deletes one line instead of 5, AND new members would see some jerk saying the same word over and over again, therefore most likely asking what s/he' meaning with that, instead of thinking 'aha, dojo... rules... bah, not interesting, let's kill something' or, the all time classic 'argh, once again the dojo jerk makes things vanish before i'm done reading them' that way, you could warn people before they even enter the location, and get the added bonus of much more comfortable chatting in dojo, with the trainers being reduced from 5 lines of useless crap to one simple line: *DOJO -> SIGNPOST*... and the trainers should do something after all, so they can really afford to hop from screen to screen every hour to see if the message is still there... and everybody would be warned before even entering the dojo

the square is indeed one of the cyclical objects that meet their own ends, their algorithm is *forward-90° left-forward-90° left...* or an equilateral triangle *forward-60° right-forard-60° right...*, but also things like a stair *forward-90° up-forward-90° down-forward-90°up-forward...* have their cyclical algorithm without meeting their own end (except for in infinity, if you wish) more complex objects have more complex algorithms, obviously, but only little objects out there can not be broken down to some simple formula explaining how they were created MRD is a ghost, not a sphere... the traveler from the AL turned into a sphere and hell, you would have loved to talk to Khalazdad, he had perfect explanations on how the shades work and how they mirror us... They are not just plainly showing the opposite of what we are showing, but mixing things up a bit... for example, they showed aggression when we showed pacifism, and got pacifists as we answered with aggression, but they were brave as Wodin was brave, even though you might think they would get cowards when facing bravery... they are not as simple as they might look at first glance, Peace will be able to tell you excellent stories written by Khalazdad PS: they are not fighting each other, as you might expect when first seeing them as dark and light, but merely coexist... both have their little corner of the realms and are not fihgting when it can be avoided, just like bears and sharks... and they are not going to try and extinct each other, either, as they plain and simply couldn't... they would never fail to defend their own base, but would always fail to invade the other base, just like bears wouldn't kill a shark in the sea and a shark wouldn't win against a bear in the forests

cyclicity doesn't mean that things necessarily start and end in the same point, but that a certain cyclical event (something that happens over and over again) can be seen in them, like in a circle the turning of a point around an axis, in a sphere around a point, or in a spiral around an axis while constantly adding radius [those are the cyclical events that are easy to explain, like seasons and such, while the cyclicity of an regular object, like a tetrahedron or a cube might be harder to see, and that of a irregular object even impossible to grasp] the next part is wildest theory-crafting, and just what jumped to my mind in a desperate attempt to forget all about state responibilty  so, yes, there could be an explanation with spirals turning the other way round for us and the shades, but it could as well be reasonable to see us as orbs, meaning that the shades couldn't find a perfect mirror to the orb without resembling us in every aspect, and therefore decided to replace the point in the middle of the orb by an axis, and in their evolution added a constant to the radius [far-fetched, but not impossible] as for the cubes around, those might be a step in evolution which contains things, but no life, and as life got added, the whole structure got more dense and formed a sphere instead of a cube, with the extra-complexity of a soul and mind
-
i would intentionally add option 5, a plane... but i'd think it's a line, as radius infinity would mean that the visible part of said circle is resembled by a straight line at any given point in space where you could technically not look at it as it's not there, but in infinity...[give me mooooore... i love such things^^] but no matter what figure it becomes, the cyclicity doesn't seem to fail imo, as every shape whatsoever can resemble cyclicity, even the line, which meets its own end in the point 'infinity' which is the same point on both the ends of such a line, as they say... at least they say that about parallels [lines that don't cross each other, except for in infinity] but enough of such nice brain-teasing, and back to boring old brain-killing work with me -.- EDIT: ouch, now it looks as if i had copied it form Kafuuka
and still Krishka is right about the non-native part, right, Schwarzwälder? i haven't been there due to exams, i really can't afford to waste my time on social contacts these days so, if you feel the urge to contact me, PM me either ingame (if you find me/have an old msg from me/have me on your friendlist) or on the forums... i'll be back to life in exactly 135 hours, +/- the time i need to get off the island... which shouldn't be that much XD

enough to learn how to run your scanner ihope you don't lose interest in the artis as fast as in GotR or GG
