Well being to ideal and not be protected is a step forward but what kind of people would choose to follow those strict rules. People like to use complex rituals.

I understand the basic premise. what you are trying to say is create a community fight club where you don't enlist to be one of the people setting the rits instead everybody does this fatal flaw thing. I know in theory it should be a good idea but im worried about what it could turn into in practice. I just dislike the idea of people congregating in one place going idle and just letting people farm them knowing what they are going to come across. The reason fight club works is because you dont know what you are going to meet and you learn by being defeated then going after it again with a stronger rit. I will admit that I would like to see this work but with all good intentions it could turn into a bad idea. I guess we could deconstruct it like we did the GGG if things turn sour. OK I am somewhat satisfied with the idea as long as it stays under control. I will leave you to it at least for now unless things turn. Edit: Please don't advertise this too much though it should be similar to the GGG and how it was supposed to be considered a secret to find. It should NOT be advertised in the paper cabin or busy locations.

Well if it is under construction don't you get the little letters in red explaining that at the end of the chapter? Though I do agree with fryd that this is the end so far I just find it odd that it still is giving you a choice. If in dought clear your cache log out restart and see if its still there.

I agree completely but isn't adept status the mentor part. How the system is run currently that isn't the case. People more bribe adepts and trade them. How I see it is a protector for being a good mentor to there adepts allows them to keep them and have them active. Then sort of as a reward for being a good mentor subject they get promoted to MP6. I sort of think of it as a appointed LHO. Since he has become MP6 he has been grated the ability to help people more so then before. However the system as I see it has been corrupted as people that make it to MP6 trade and try to keep everybody else at MP6 and give some of there adepts to select players. there are some good ones don't get me wrong though.

Chapter 3 is still being constructed by mur. Since other things have come up the entire story has not been completed as there are a lot of new ideas and much more interesting things to be done. The incorporation of items raw materials AL and the new battle system to name a few. If people don't get them selves killed they will end up at the under construction page. I think one of the things mur wants to incorporate first is the wooden cube and its abilities that it grants before he continues. An idea that has been around for a while but not yet found how to keep the game balanced and stop people from just trading it to other people. Could a mod please spoiler the chapter page shown as well as anything I might have said that would be considered such.

I'm sorry for hijacking your post but this is just an important topic for both vets and newbies. Debate is fundamental and if you come up with idea you are automatically putting your self in the firing line of criticism. I know it seems like people are ganging up on you. I understand that feeling but the result is you have put your self there. If you want a cleaner topic I would suggest having people PM you and then edit your initial post for names of people in your training group. I just think that new players should hear both sides and make an educated decision and that is what the debate is for. One of the fundamentals of MD is free speech. I've questioned mur himself and by his fundamentals I was allowed to do that with no negative impact. Anybody is allowed to say anything about this by it being proposed.

Yes seeing protectors would be a good idea but picking randomly is also a bit of a problem. I mean it actually says that you should build a working relationship with your protector.

I heard about this there was a previous post about it. Pashweetie in the future do not bring up a brand new post for the same idea instead bump the previous post. However I don't think this worked due to our previous events with the GGG and how fixed rules in an area causes people to be protected. Then with people being protected people don't leave those areas.

Lets look at this critically there is already a wood cutting guild if its working in the desired way then there should be a water guild. Regardless of weather you set them up as a guild or not they will find each other and produce there own social group.

I personally think the problem is peoples perspective of what a spoiler is. For example my definition of a spoiler in this case would be saying use these creatures and you will win. That gives me the ability to say that you need to think about upgrading (I don't say what to upgrade). It also gives me the ability to explain part of what the weakness is but not how to defeat it. That allows people who need help to learn what defeats what them selves though I do realize it deprives them of the ability to identify a weakness. Now I only tell it to people who ask me directly and obviously by saying this I am not going to defend what I have said here is right or wrong. I believe that it is a clouded reason on what is a spoiler. My view is obviously different from Burns view and February's showing both sides of the spectrum. However blatantly telling a person what to use I do believe is a spoiler and should be considered as such.

Unfouchenently my vivid imagination was a major problem. When the eye is described when fighting I feel like vomiting because the image is there. So actually i more admired the brilliant writing instead of the actual code (I cant because I cant code I might appreciate it more if I could). On earthier account great quest I hope to see some more of it in the future.

Well errors in history is a simple problem that cant be overcome. I would enjoy to hear the history of big C kalazadad and some of the less known ones such as kittness and a few others despite the distortion. Though I hope it differs somewhat from the book of ancients or else it would be sort of futile.

I suggest one of the first things you should do is still find a person to become an adept of because a mentor can still be a help. I had to self teach my self from zero to where I am now because I choose not to make a choice of who to work with. It made me slightly more adaptable but it was a mistake. Also choose your role quickly as it will take a bit of time to build and its good to start early (Example: I'm a demon who possed a body in order to walk the earthen plain). Finally you may want to find a protector who is online often. During the early stages you want to get rid of your heat and protectors do that well. This you should all do once you get out of story mode. By the way wait the maximum amount of time as it gives better rewards. Its slow and sometimes painful to watch but it does help once you get into the realm.

If i had to take a guess it is probably an unknown side effect. People have been having vitality problems and I somehow found a way for my level 5 elemental to receive only 1 damage. I think it might take some time in order to get this fixed because currently the battle system is still being renovated. I mean look at the little gold icons that where added. It looks like we might be able to distribute exp or something. I think soon enough it will be fixed but right now the battle system is undergoing a lot of changes.

I would suggest against making suggestions. The ideas have been almost all used and stating pros and cons can often be counter productive. If mur plans to re instate the free credits he has a plan already if he doesn't well than mur help us all. If he doesn't see any viable idea we will see the free credits page leave our top bar. At the current moment sending angry letters and disjointed complaints are not going to resolve the issue. I think we all have to accept it is no longer in our hands.

I do understand the reason for using the AL and I will use it after the first creation. The AL does not completely define the world. We need start at the core basics to start with. Thats geology, the sure history that is given too us which is not that much and something that grabs attention. The storyboard im thinking of makes use of this by the angien opening the box. Flash of light fade in and fly over of the net of the box. Include no mans land, loreroot, marnidbell eastern lands necrocron and GG in that order being very basic similar to the what is shown on the front page with a little more detail. This all being in charcoal animation. View point has 90 degree swivel points to top right corner of no mans land zoom in to ground level. Shades and drake horn battle large unnecessary creature battle scene. Shades engulf drake horn zoom out slow northward moment showing the entire map, fade out. Fade in gold letters reading Magic Duel: The Realm with clikable link NO referral as it wouldn't be fair to new players to jump in as a referred addition unwittingly. Gold glints role credits replay button and link to MD. More to be added as I look through my ideas and see what to put in take out and order. As I said rough idea yet to be refined. The main thing I want to show is the charcoal look to MD. You get rid of the charcoal and start using cool or warm colors the sort of magical feel dies and suddenly it feels commercial and synthesized. Not real and feels like a synthetic copy. I tried color by printing off a page and filling it in with color. I had to throw it away it was just to hard to look at. To avoid rambling any further. This is what I see in my mind. The first is introductory the others if wanted will follow AL if people see it as a fit.
