  1. I've been against the high ap costs of exploring remote places from the beginning of viscosity. Pickles were a first small way to fight that. Others have cropped up over the years to mitigate the damage viscosity causes. It forces people to congregate together at GoE for any social interaction and makes hanging out together in smaller groups with common interests in relatively remote places less likely. It is potentially the death of alliances and exploration for fun - when we should be encouraging more diverse activities instead. Summary: viscosity bad, community activity good.
  2. So I owe Laz a gold coin, and we reset the clock for Else. Congrats Else!
  3. Nice branch of a crooked cherry tree in blossom. Although, scrolling down from the top my first reaction was "alien chicken leg".
  4. "vitality" spelled wrong twice (and right twice same page).
  5. We all do a little jogging, from time to time, for our health. A "sweet spot" is a place you can go back and forth between two scenes WITHOUT HAVING TO MOVE THE MOUSE. Such spots allow you to regain lost VE or recharge your erolins without risking ergonomic injury or eye strain. You can just close your eyes and daydream, while clicking back your health. I will award 1sc to each such sweet-spot first posted here. I already know of two in MDA, but I'll award them if somebody else posts anyway. Help your citizens find theirs for extra accolades!
  6. My concern is we spend a lot of time doing mouse-over trying to figure out what is active, and clicking on stuff. As things now stand, a right-click is clearly a browser function and not part of the game. Mixing that up would be a mess.
  7. We could have a panel discussion of what makes a good quest, and how to go about putting an original, unique, and fun one together.
  8. Can provide help with getting personal documents, and the kinds of things that you might want on them. Can help proofread, especially if English is not your first language.
  9. I've done this one-on-one and it takes about 20 minutes to get you up and running, assuming you've bought the ability with a wp. Learn to brighten up the realm, adding flavor through Clickies, which can be the core of a good Quest. Catch me anytime and I can help get you started, too!
  10. Twice moving from Wind's to GoE, and once sitting at Goe, all inside an hour or less.
  11. The Clickie edit window used to flush at the top of the hour. It no longer seems to, but the warning message is still there. See the line at the very bottom of this screenshot.
  12. Chewie, thanks for expanding the window size so it holds the entire coding interface window. Could you now do the same for the output window? Thanks,
  13. As of now, the insert/wrap is fixed, but still the "talk" button obscures the last 2-3 characters of the text typed on the first line. This prompts me to stop and regroup, forgetting what the last letter I typed was, so I have to backspace, reorient, then look away and type blind. Anyway, moving the "talk" button to the right out of the window (or shrink the chat line). Or, you could maybe make the chat box 3 lines thick and move the talk button to the lower right corner, as long as there is room above it for lines 1 & 2. It's line 3 that won't reach the end anyway. This latter solution would let you view lines 1 & 2 as you typed line 3 etc. {Sorry, didn't know if you wanted this as new bug or comment/expansion on resolved bug.}
  14. Another oddity, under certain circumstances {which I am failing to reproduce}, a character logged on inland then moving to the beach encounters the "no access to clickie" message I associate with the horseman -- when he tries to LEAVE the beach. Every time, he is stopped from leaving the beach. This continues until he clicks on "A Curious Box" at which point he can leave the beach. Note: A brand new character CAN leave the beach without ever clicking on the horseman. {Doing so, he never sees the horseman again, and does not get this error.}
  15. I would favor the change if the period was longer, say at least a month rather than a week. Maybe even a year.
  16. More information: The total paper count is right, but the inventory report is wonky. You do make "2 paper" at a shot. Adding 1 paper at a time does increment the load in the balloon by 1 each time. Having "2 paper (3)" in inventory drops right panel report to "Paper (3)" which is wrong, then to "2 Paper (2)" which is right. Adding 2 papers at once avoids this erroneous report.
  17. This ought to be pinned.
  18. Bongo just this minute got a new silver coin for consecutive days. It seems to still have the apostrophe-slash problem. So no, the new coins are not fixed.
  19. Clear Cache? That helped with other missing-orange-glow problems I've worked with Aia on. Well, she did the work, I just kibitzed.
  20. Later - found that this screen DOES work to unlock the achievements, and that after unlocking any at all, the error messages go away. So how often will a total newbie be unlocking their first achievement this far east. So... SUPER LOW PRIORITY!
  21. Yes, these are both ALTS of Fyrd. The only reason for their existence is to provide training targets for MP3/MP4 who need them. Also, I suppose, for RP exercise for bored MP5 -- I have tried to give them both distinctive personalites. Bongo is being 'forward' as I hope to get him to MP4 status, where he will remain. Ssclorp will be MP3 forever, so will continue to be shy and lurk until Bongo moves up. Can't run both simultaneously. Anybody in a position to help Bongo get to MP4, do please help. Anybody who meets an MP3/4 who needs a training target - don't hesitate to let Fyrd know.
  22. These will require posts of their own. Stay tuned.
  23. Viewing with Bongo, who has no unlocked achievements to date.
  24. As seen at the 16th Anni event. Bring stories of unlikely but not disprovable explanations of how things REALLY are.
  25. Come prepared with stories. Can be Fables, Myths, Legends, Contemporary, Truth, or Fiction.
