Chris pointed out to me that the level 3+ shmsh still gave combat errors where the level 2 shmsh in my hands did not. I just now attacked with a ritual that had included the shmsh, but now is no longer owned by me. THE ERROR MESSAGE OCCURRED, BEFORE THE SYSTEM RECOGNIZED THAT I NO LONGER HAD THE SHMSH! I assume this means Ledah bumped it up to level 3 after taking custody.

Yep, inventory of 25 unique starting letters confirmed. Chriselnenepr wins a wishpoint! To claim the final wishpoint in this challenge, you'd have to all 26. (Else & Chris are obviously not eligible, having set previous records).

Iridian Moonblossom is a returning MP4 lorerootian. She lost access to her homeland, so I let her into MDA/LS alliance so she could jump to leader to get in. However, I'm sure she would like to know who can give her back her citizenship once she gets regular access. Any information would be helpful.

BUG INFO - KEYS I have a suspicion that these players have a key set wrong. I have verified that Chriselnenepr has the same settings as I have for the following keys: tutorial-papercabin-basket-scroll1 tutorial-papercabin-basket-scroll1-A Can somebody dig up which key from the paper cabin tutorial days might be interfering with their MP advance? If you find it, I can set up a fix-it spot for any players that might turn up with this problem.

NEW INFORMATION: A player that sees the normal Q-Doc does see a button to advance from MP4 to MP5. Two players that see "Prologue - The Paper Cabin" do not see the advance button when capped. {Also, I see 41 adept names on the profile page now, so my personal worry is unfounded.}

DEFINITE IMPORTANT BUG FOR AT LEAST 2 PLAYERS (see below) 1) I've talked with two MP4's who say they did not get a button to advance to MP5 when they thought they were eligible. It may be missing. 2) That may or may not be happening with Fyrd going to MP6, but I CAN'T TELL. I have at least 40 adepts but most are inactive. The window that shows adepts seems to be full at a fixed 40 and I can't see the youngest ones (which are most likely to be active). I have no way to find out my active adept count. It would be great if that window only showed active adepts (per whatever timeline is used for MP6 count) or expanded to show all adepts, not just the oldest 40.

Kaya, currently MP4, has joined us. She is a long-standing player with a string of alts behind her. She is excited about helping breath new life into the realm, and interested in quest creation. Let's make her welcome!

This isn't really necessary - MP4 can get into any alliance and tangle with all other MP5's. Would only speed things up by having more targets. MP3 are still S.O.L. in this regard.

Current data suggest it takes about 50 hours of grinding to move from MP3 to MP4, and about 500 to move from MP4 to MP5. 8 years ago, it was much easier. I think this is demoralizing for the newbies. Lots of ideas are floating around about what to do about this. Let's pick one and do something!

Expect a special visitor at Fortune’s Well just before Halloween – hope she’ll stay a week (October 30th through November 6th) because she’s bringing us all a Trick-or-Treat adventure! Come by every day (especially at 1700 and 2100) to exchange ghost stories and play games like Hangman and Pass the Stench. There will be a Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) Memorial at Fortune’s Well. Normally November 2nd, but for MD it will be available all during the event week. Check out the Jack-O-Pumpkin decorating contest! Ungod is looking for help guarding the pumpkins at GoE, and it seems to be turning into a game. Mention you're stealing one in chat and see if anybody catches you. Drive him crazy. We hope to pass out special treats too. We’ll be looking for everyone to get involved – and encourage anyone to come up with more things to do during this time of celebration of the harvest.
