  1. It would be really cool to have a "printing press" object in the MDA that consumes "paper" resources to create "document" items. The user would input a title and a text body which could be "used"/read a specified number of times, ranging from 1 to infinite, depending on the durability of the document (flyer, paperback, bound book, etc.)
  2. Ran 30 in a row with no problem today.
  3. This morning, it worked 6 times, then failed twice (see image) then worked again. Yesterday it would work if I clicked twice, in the case of an initial fail. That didn't work on those 2 fails this morning. {Later, after this post, I just kept clicking [open] and sometimes it would, sometimes it wouldn't.} {Still Later - the inventory box refresh is 3-4 seconds after clicking [open]. There seems to be no correlation between whether I rush it or wait for it to finish vs. whether the item opens or not.}
  4. And now it's working again.
  5. Problem has returned again.
  6. Working again. Puzzled but happy.
  7. Sometime in the last 12 hours, my MDScripted item (ID: 13450) stopped working. When you open it, you now get a blank screen. No way to even access/edit the code. MDScripted clickables are still working normally. I have no other items to check.
  8. Valoryn gets the credit for this one: We've blown past this mark in A25 goodies for y'all to enjoy.

  16. With Mur's new and improved npctalk code functions, there are some refinements in the works at the Bug Gardens. It now consumes a single clay resource the first time you make each kind of item needing it, but you won't have to keep going back to make more. Many fewer clicks! It now consumes a single water or rainwater resource whenever you use one. Expect similar changes as regards other constructs in the tool shed, as well as alternative choices for resources that can be consumed. Ultimately the "community plots" will allow non-gardeners to trade resources for produce - more expensive, but less time consuming. As usual, if you find any "anomalies" in how things work, let me know and you'll be rewarded accordingly.
  17. Logged on as Bongo. Chat looked normal at first, the error appeared when Bongo first chatted. Note that the "What the heck" is now showing as Fyrd talking, not Mur.
  18. I just now un-idled and got this weirdness. I was chatting as if I was Mur. I logged out. Note the line at the top supposedly Mur was said by me earlier - as Fyrd, no issues.
  19. Nepgear, your eye is impressive. A few of the things you caught these tired old eyes can barely see when pointed out. Many of the things you find are made worse by even a single pixel shift - the two artworks don't have the same registry point. These will be fixed in a "phase 2" effort that goes back to original artworks. Seven were made better by a 1 pixel shift, but still will need improvement in phase 2. Five I feel are "fixed" and won't need more attention. Oak Tower item18 path - 1 pixel Defensive Quarters item16 - right hand path - took 2 pixel shift Wasp Tower Back Exit item 19 - took 3 pixel shift. Raven Hold item 18 path - 1 pixel Raven Hold Top item21 - 3rd house in your pic - 1 pixel I've surveyed all the sites that you showed and did all possible with A25 tools/phase 1. Please contact Chewett regarding rewards.
  20. THEMED STORY A theme is announced in advance with a deadline. Those posting on the launching forum thread before the deadline are competing. The stories will be read out at an event - author attendance is optional. Vote for winner is by those present at the readings PLUS (or minus) any up or down arrows on the forum. IMPROMPTU STORY A theme and any requirements are announced at the event. Players have a timed interval to send their entry to the judge. The stories will then be read out and audience vote determines the winner. PUN CONTEST As many rounds will be played in the allotted time. Each round the judge gives a theme then the contestants take turns (in order by scene display) making a pun on that theme. Failing to make a pun, repeating one used before, or passing eliminates the contestant for the round. Last one in wins the round. Whoever wins the most rounds is the over-all winner. LIMERICK CONTEST A contestant is given a theme and must make up a limerick on the spot. If successful (audience may vote out), they give a theme to the next contestant, otherwise are eliminated. Last one in wins. A limerick has an AABBA line rhyming pattern with line rhythmic emphasis 33223. SPIN DOCTOR CONTEST This is a bracket elimination. Paired contestants alternate finishing the other's sentance, then starting one of their own. (Start is "Once upon a time...".) Each is trying to portray themselves as the hero, the other as the villain. Audience votes who advances in the brackets. HANGMAN Judge provides blank spaces for a word that fits a secret theme. Contestants suggest letters, but can't take 2 turns in a row. Judge shows where letter goes, or if it is not in the word. Whoever guesses the word first gets a point. Whoever guesses the current theme first also gets a point - limit one theme guess per player per word. IMPROMPTU THEATRE By turns, each team is given a list of RP items that they must use in an impromptu skit. Whichever team creates a consistent story in the shortest amount of time wins. A time penalty will be added for each item not properly woven into the story in the opinion of the judge. The story must also be "complete" with a dilemma and an ending - they must continue the skit until the dilemma is resolved in a literarily "satisfying" way.
  21. It WOULD be possible for A25 to uncheck the chat box at Loreweaver's Lock. GM's: Do you want one of us to do this?
  22. Fixed. Proper syntax was: npctalkdata#key=my_name;compare=any_value
  23. Note that in this story mode, chat is ABOVE territory description. Same 14 lines used in normal scenes, where it is not an issue. Probably low priority as there is little discussion inside story mode, but hey..... Outside of A25 power.... needs GM.
  24. You need a match to start a fire.... Just sayin'.
