Fyrd Argentus

Continued experimentation. Sometimes on defense it gives a won fight point, sometimes not. Sometimes it denies it because I'm capped. Sometimes it denies it because I supposedly have no surviving creatures, but I actually do. Not happy making. Yes, all this while I'm capped, but it wasn't making sense to me before that either.... I achieved a won count on offense, using life steal elementals. It says I got negative xp reward, and gave me the win count.

I am currently capped in MP5. On defense, I get credited with won fights. On offense, I do not. Should be one way or the other.

Many of you know that Fyrd began his studies in the Realm at Marind's Bell, due to his affinity with that land, and only moved to the MDA to pursue his advanced studies. Fewer of you know that he did not excel among the dusty books in the archives, prefering to tell stories, make music, and sample his most recent fermentation products. He owns one boring book he keeps falling asleep with, and several other tomes he has not even started. What attracted him to the MDA, and keeps him there you ask? There is a rumor, which he will not deny, that it is the enticing thought of what could be done with SO MUCH PAPER! You see, Fyrd is an aficionado of the art of Origami. Fyrd thinks he can make a winderwild, a knator, a tormented soul, a morph, a high priest's hat, a balloon, and a portal big enough for any MD character to walk through - much much bigger than the starting paper. But he probably needs refreshers on even those, as his memory is not what it used to be. Let's give Fyrd some help. Every set of instructions for making something out of paper that could have come from the MD realm, complete with photographic proof including the MD trademark, earns a silver coin. Everyone posting that they followed those instructions, with proof, earns themselves a silver coin, and another one for the originator. You must start with a single square piece of paper, scissors, and coloring devices, and no other materials. Contest runs out when Fyrd runs out of silver coins (he currently has 56) or the contest is called off for lack of interest or any other issue. Also reserved is the right to limit the number of follows of a particular set of instructions, and disqualify multiple instructions for the same thing. Have fun, and post your Origami here.

I am referring to a relatively crude (kindergarden-level) sketch of an active player's avatar. Bad enough that it's hard to guess instantly, but to get it eventually. stick figures maybe. Hard to guess name to go with a fossil, so could be fun, but super easy with an active player - where's the fun in that? So I'm adding to the challenge. Now, if you think you can deviate in the direction of "spirit of the person" and still have somebody get it, all the more power to you!

Years ago, you had to have a "lesser" avy to "swap" your good one with, putting the good one in the vault and leaving the lesser one to swap into the shop for the purchased one. I agree, I've always wanted to be able to put your good one in the vault and go avy-less for the purchase, so your net number increased, but never could. Would be a nice fix, for collectors. Alternatively, change things so system doesn't force a return of the avy you're wearing when you purchase a new one. However, I expect that avy's were (and may still be) rare enough this situation is set up to avoid hoarding and shortages. In the mean time, should you wish to buy a #2 avy, find somebody that has an extra "lesser" one to grease the wheels with. Or draw one yourself and get it approved. Newly approved arrive in the vault and increase your total count.

Then, if you recycle the first shard, why doesn't replacing that #1 shard cost you that same 100? Why would it cost 1800 to have a 2-shard critter? You have to recycle both in order to start fresh at 100 for the first shard.

I am not interest in money, instead looking for interesting creatures and shop items, or custom items. What attracts Fyrd? Critters that are fun, festive. I have a Santa and a snowball already. And an Anni and several jokers, being one myself. Items that fit any of the following categories: archives book-stuff, notes maps etc, paper objects, anything preserved in an unusual way, anything in a bottle, or anything useful for cooking/pickling stuff. I walked off not idle in Wind's Sanctuary and lost computer connection 3-4 hours ago. Came back in - had not gone idle but should have. Got a message something like this that I cleared. I then moved from Wind's all the way out of the MB Gates and clicked to go to the GoE and this happened. It has happened before too, but this time I got the whole message. [Later: Well, the server apparently reset. Else, I , and later redneck are the only ones here - all western hemisphere.]

Yes. You usually can't select menu titles though - they're not normally in this sort of text box, and I'm clicking on the compass, not the menu titles.

When programing a clickie and you fail to provide a location (blush) you get a sentence with misspellings. "whem with comma" should read "them with commas".

There is one in each land, and one in No Man's Land. However, access to the ones in lands may well be restricted by the rulers of that land.

Click the compass twice slowly and you get normal looking white menus. Click it quick, i.e. double click, and you get blue selection highlights on the menu titles.

Can we get rid of this sentence once they give a password? Gets annoying and redundant.

When you send an in-game PM, the buttons at the bottom include CANCEL. This is not "cancel the send", it should read EXIT or some such.
