I know what it is... I just... over think things and here is the end result! If I had my way, so many things would be so much more complicated. hence me poking for ideas!

Thank you everyone! When I left MD I gave away all my good items, so I personally cannot sponsor this. Should I seek out sponsorship from those willing? And for gifting, should recipients make a list of things they wish for? Who should benefit from this? New players, those struggling? I was also thinking of making a Secret Santa account for those involved in the gifting to use so that hopefully, no wrongful/ unnecessary accusations can be made based on the person. Does this sound good? Also thinking for winter fest, this could be played out. Otherwise, should this just be done during near the time of Christmas? [I know, I should have put this up sooner but it just hit me yesterday.]

There never was supposed to be an alliance, but Seigheart was adament about it and bam. I personally believe an alliance just causes more problems than not, what with take overs and whatever and needing necessary loyaty. Not only that, but some people may prefer to stay in their current alliance while having tk status as something of a side job for the community-- hint hint--. Kind of like being an Lho and remaining in your land.

I know that there is already a crazy santa and a christmas tree for people to get random creatures and rewards... but, why not a secret santa? its the holidays and usually around this time of year I like to do something nice. I am wondering about legalities of this, potential volunteers and overall how to make this work. thank you.

if I may... tks were made to help me with murs work originally. I was swamped in real life, losing focus in md, so I asked for aid. mur orchestrated everything. the original purpolse was not just to give out rewards. it was based on altruism, that mostly in murs doing. do any of you know how many random gifts i gave out? it was a group of members meant to be tiny secretaries. but it seems that has changed. tks now do whatthey do, because mur saw quests in need of aid, or sponsored his own crazy things. I guess what i mean to say is, tks are not a crutch. before they came along, you. people had the ability to sponsor your own quests and things. hard,yes, but doable. forsaking this makes people dull and uselelss and makes the tks linear and overall not appreciated.

I am on my phone and it won't let me link to the other thread so if someone could do that for me it'd be much appreciated. My brain can't stop poking at me, and so now I poke all of md. In the previous discussion it was saved that dreams include personal information like fear and what not... And that people spying on them get to see that which causes hubbub. Well, another point I would like to make is this : if ou have a "character" why in the bloody hell are you using personal information any way?

It isn't closed because I personally think this isa Valid discussion, however whiny and accusatory it maybe. I don't know if this is the correct answer, this is just my guess. I vote to keep it up. Why start another topic on the same discussion?

I do find it kind of amusing at how when someone tells people in a general consensus that their behavior is wrong, people pop up to try and justify it and defend themselves. But on another note: It's basically like this analogy in how MD works: We're pretty much all stuck inside a closet and have been infected with a thing called cabin fever. If I was stuck in a closet with someone for more than a few days I get snarky. and MD isn't the only "community" in which this happens.

Ack, thank you for the advice. It turned out my homesickness was too much [along with other unfavorable events] and I got out back home. I will definitely look into this again when moving time comes once more.

When I was a full time Ary, my "giving" was what I did for my own sense of positivity. I channel my goodness into responsible, and ..wht's the word... reasonable? no.. whatever, basically it just was energy put into something worthwhile. But a lot of it got sucked dry by greed, and otherwise nastiness which brought out the red giant. So by having just one person making an effort can be draining. Even if it is who you are.

I'm quite the positive person in real life. But online is where i get to vent out my cynicism. is it right? no. But I'm like a sponge. You get what you give.

I can, and have done better. Already applied long before this shenanigans. How to do better: Stop pussy footing around and do his job. stop being a blamer for his own short comings. Be more mature, etc. Really. All of these 'ideas' have been said time and time again. Yet he doesn't seem to get the idea. Oh well. his fault, his folly.

The TKs were never just a treasurey. They were supposed to chronicalize a lot of stuff and originally were split into three categories. The TKs were meant to be little minion secretaries under my rule. So all this hubbaloo about them being simple mail men is lame.

Curi is needing some moving out advice. As of now, I am living with my father in a state different from where I used to live in. I have a job, but I don’t make enough to live on my own in a home unless I can find one for very cheap... Winter is coming, and I am afraid my hours are going to be cut, when I am already trying to make ends meat if I decide to get a house. I know I need a second/better job and I am currently in the works for it. It’s just… most of the jobs are a pain to get to walking distance, especially in the cold, or they are not a feasable walking distance if I have to be there early early, or super late at night. And I’m needing a car/moped of sorts just to get there. So that is going to take a chunk of my money. Basically the real kicker is that I won’t be staying permanently. I will likely be staying until early summer and leaving with my boyfriend. I don’t know a thing about renting or getting roommates, but I figure it is the most feasable option I have right now. I don’t know what else to add. Other than I was thinking I’d be staying on a more permanent basis until a bomb got dropped on me that my boyfriend doesn’t know if he wants to stay permanently with me. So I’m kind of tossed in a tizzy there and currently scrambling like a chicken with my head cut off to ensure everything goes smoothly. Maybe I’m just overreacting, but I’m kind of freaking out because I’ve only got till december/january.

I know this is off topic, but I saw it in Ivo's What can you do for MD thing. If you guys want a story night, just holla. I can whip up a date and time and maybe even host it myself.

then what is the point in having aid if you won't utilize them? Seems like [again] a big waste. It's not a one man show, it's about team work and working together and ensuring people are happy. Not about pride or spoiling yourself with attention. Yes, Fang, it is a serious job, but it is a serious job because it is altruistic. YOU are doing the majority a favor YOU are under the pressure of the people and YOU need to hold yourself responsibility for ThEIR happiness, pretty much. I don't care who says what about being a grumpy one eyed monster. that's not what it was about in the beginning. It was started on altruism and teamwork. It better stay that way.

My panties aren't in a knot. I call it like it is. It's a waste of time, waste of energy. Be patient and hold off.

I agree with what was said above. You're jumping the bit, and while yes, you want to do the best you can, you won't know you made a mistake until you have actually DONE IT. So, just do what you gotta do already and stop making such useless posts that really won't help you in any way. At least, not posts like this.
