The idea of doing the "quest" a 2nd or 3rd time and getting harder by every try is, that it should not be the only solution to the death scenario. It should be "only" one way. If it would bet easier it would loose its purpose at all, that being dead is something which is not easy to overcome. So I do not like the whole killing feature as it is used now but if it stays and has some sort of meaning (which I still don´t understand maybe someone could help me out to understand what is "being killing" adding to MD) it should not be something which is taken too easy. My main problem with it is that people are leaving MD because the alternative to counter it or being revived is not fitting to all of us equally in the way how we deal with it. Some say its balanced other do not agree and others leave MD because they cannot stand it at all. As mentioned many times earlier we should not only try to avoid losing people through this, we should prevent it, otherwise we might have a bigger death which would be permanent for ALL of us. Exactly one of those examples I was referring too.

1 1/2 years back I had a Quest Idea which was dealing with the whole "being dead" scenario. Some months ago I was sharing it privately with someone and got discouraged. Now things are getting more complicated and the whole thing is getting more and more a bigger public "issue". I would like to share the idea as possibility for all of us to work on (if possible at all). Here is the short description: A dead player would have the choice to be "moved" to the other side of life, lets call it afterlife world, the quest would start in this case. In my idea its a blurred version of MD with different aspects of interacting ( I will explain this later more precise). So here in this mirror world he/she is not powerless at all but one thing is important - he/she cannot interact with the living people on the other side, this might be the main motivation to finish the "Quest" to leave the afterlife world. So here his/her creatures are acting differently, how needs to be discussed, many options are there in my mind. To leave this world he/she has to accomplish a series of task and my thought was a mixture of fighting (if the player has no creatures it´s not a problem this could be solved) puzzles, and story. The quest should be available to ALL MP stages and once finished leave a mark on the player which shows that he/she returned from the dead. If he/she dies a second time and choses to come back the quest should be different, maybe harder than the first time. I´d like to ask all who are interested to share their ideas or just like or dislike this post. I consider this idea no longer "my" idea and would like to see it implemented as community project IF it is possible and wanted at all.

My impression of Nimrodels intension to start this topic was that killing seams to be common in MD as a theme and that she does not understand why so much is evolving around death in this way. The killing of someone in MD or RL has reasons and none of them is funny at all and I guess thats what this is all about. For some death is closer in RL in comparison for others and so it´s not taken as non serious behavior when someone orders a killing or is killing by him/herself. I´m anxious to see how "killing and reviving will become more common" is adding something to MD which attracts more people to the realm or make MD more interesting for the already playing community.

My two cents: 1. Murder should have a counter and I´m not talking about the possibility to prevent the actual killing. If it is that easy to kill someone in an instant why do I see dead MD folks for days and weeks? I say besides a punishment there should be a much easier way of revival as it is now. There was a plan for a rival fruit in the gardens but so far it did not came into play. I have to look into this ... 2. A contract killer is obviously not good if the majority knows that he/she is a killer living amongst them and here the concept of a contract killer in MD is failing (so far). We all know such killer exists and with that knowing most of us "accept" the act of killing as a normal part of our MD life which instantly causes questions within me. Why did we not all try to prevent that such a "feature" was implemented? (we didnt know) I was just complaining but not thinking of "solutions" how this contract killer feature could be vanishing again (and it has not much to do with Eon as member of the MD community). The whole idea would have been a real authority if there would have been a statement that there is a contract killer from now on who will remain hidden and if hired (it would have been interesting how to hire an unknown killer) do his "job" trying not to be discovered. And if the crime was discovered and the killer caught we could have a discussion about the punishment. But as it is now the assassin is an official Killer from the higher authority of MD to do a "JOB". As long as the community has no real tools or possibilities to counter the idea (for example take away the killing tools from a caught killer) it will stay as one of those features which makes no real sense to me. I summarize: I suggest to take away the killer contract feature from the actual assassin and start new but with an unknown assassin (could be again Eon). Hide the tools in the inventory of the assassin and make it interesting and challenging to hire him/her. Give the community the tools or features to deal with the outcome of a killing and the possibilities to judge a killer who was caught.

I don´t know if we can handle a weekly one and if there would be enough to talk about but once in a month? I know how much time sozial media is cosuming I´m doing this since some months now with my own company and it´s hard to get something really working but on the long run I see not many other options to get people interested at all. The Review is honest and shocking for someone who plays MD since some time. I have to admit that I had similar feelings for a long time when I started and there were many points were I started playing other games because of frustration and came back to MD after some time. MD is very slow and complicated because so far the community is MD and here are his most complains. I can understand this but have no idea how we could change our sometimes "elite" behavior.

I suggested a while back to use a MD Youtube Channel with many different things in it. Introduction of the game - some gameplay and of course the awesome art MD has to offer. Plus we could connect through this channel all possible important positions of the MD network (game/forum/FB other sozial media). One nice video series could be how our art is drawn by our artists. Make a video how you draw a new scene/item/Avatar - this alone is so interesting and would draw attention. We also could have an official "Talk" about the game and its development & why people play since years? Were is MD so different? and so on. We could make interviews with new and old players and put all this in a constant flow on the channel maybe once in a month.

Nim of course I did not intended to make a generalization and I do not think I did but if my english wording was pointing in that direction please excuse me. What I meant was something I observe as a growing process in India and when it comes to observing behavior there is only Germany and India at the moment. So I try it again. "There is a fast growing behavior of bullying (which was the whole topic about) which I observe in the countries I stay for a longer period every year (not as a tourist). And I say the media has a lot to do with that. I speak of normal people I´m in contact with from normal families and society. The fact "normal" is what is alarming for me. It is quite normal to pick the "weak" to cover your own weakness like in the Video which I posted." There are enough examples in MD too. There are only two options for me why? One is that you picked a role to bully others in MD or you are what you are and in the Internet is even much easier to bully others because it is anonymous. I know how to deal with those bullies but have to admit that it´s much easier facing them in RL. The "security" of the Internet where words are weapons and the distance and the anonymity is your shield is much harder to handle. And I´m not talking about physical force in RL to solve such issues, I never did so far and I see no good in searching for solutions in that direction. But communicating with someone face to face is hundreds of times easier for me than the opposite. For one kind of bullies it´s the opposite that´s why they hide behind the shield and when it breaks their own weakness comes out. I actually saw one breaking into tears and nearly collapsing at a RL meeting of one of the MMORPG`s I played years back. The bully did one mistake at this point at the "party", giving up the anonymity, over confident as the guy from the Video above. Actually it´s a big war going on in the world and this war will continue and get worse in the future.

Means if you find a resource full you will go until 2/3 and if someone was earlier at the spot collecting until 2/3 then you will go below the regeneration rate and collect until 4/9, is that correct? I would be interested in the reasoning for this, if you like to explain.

This is not just about having goals in MD or a role. For me it´s about: 1. Why am I here? 2. How do the answer for 1. fit with the game mechanics + community + possibilities in MD? 3. What am I able to do in MD and how much do I judge MD + the community + council + Mur? 4. How much time do I like to invest to get what the answer of 1. says? 5. ... 6. ... 7. ... The list can go on and on. My observation is that we all judge what happens around us - in real life and so here too. That´s not a bad or destructive thing - but what we do with the judging afterwards makes the difference. Am I someone who´s blaming others for something which is not working or developing into the "wrong" direction? Or Am I willing to be a part of the change I want to see? Am I some one who always see´s the glass half empty or half full? We all need to work on ourselfs first and this is were we are different and we need to come closer together. The more we judge each other in a destructive not supportive way the more we are drifting away from each other as a community and as the base of this fantastic Magic Duel. Because it´s crystal clear that not MD is the "pro-blem" - MD is living because of it´s people and not the other way around. So we make MD what it is. As it is since some time, that most of us are not doing very well when it comes to MD. I hope you can see this as "facts" and not as judgement about you - I include myself in every single statement I made above. Once again I realize that we are all strong if we are working together at one goal and that the other side of this coin is what we observe very often in RL too. Things fall apart when the glue is fading away. So I´d like to be a part of MD and with the time I have I will try to get my role a face (which I did not so far) and get more involved into making people more active. I´m still thinking of how we could advertise MD in a bigger scale and I do not mean voting - @Chewett I have to come back to you with my idea of using sozial media and youtube (sorry that I did not so far).
