  1. I think this could also be used as an example of disrespect. Because as Nimrodel rightly said: Now, I have no idea what the problems between the two are, but to openly bring that particular quarrel (one of particular controversy) into this topic, when you could have given unnamed examples of disrespect and not try to publicly shame someone, seems slightly disrespectful as well; I'd even say to both parties as neither of them may want accusations flung about in regards to their own, personal, disagreements. Perhaps instead of trying to "name and shame" in this topic we could refrain from pointing fingers and instead a) allow those with grievances speak for themselves and b) keep examples unnamed? Unless we're meant to throw names under the wheels here? In which case there should be a list started, as to not be seen as "picking" on one person? :) Just my opinions though. :)
  2. I don't think that would be the best idea as Wiki's usually require citation. How are you going to cite the realm quest? Unless you have screen shots of the words and actions of each person? :) As for documenting it - I had already begun crafting a representation of the storm quest in the form of a story, on my personal pages. I've not had the time or inspiration to finish it as of yet though.
  3. After talking to a few people I have decided that... Quest is open for another week!
  4. I'm very much under the belief that the following are also ways undermine the respect for a person: Saying "(s)he would say", "(s)he would feel", "(s)he would...", "(s)he wouldn't..." - Anything that is speaking for someone when they have not directly asked you to.You're disrespecting someone's trust/friendship/right to their own opinion (not to mention possibly spreading false ideas.) Stating what someone does or doesn't know, as if it were a fact - Truth is, 90% of the time you don't know what someone does or doesn't know, so stating they don't know something can quite often be disrespecting their intelligence. If you're unsure, ask. Don't say "You don't..." without clear evidence.
  5. I am creating what (I hope) will be a very big quest with big rewards. Unfortunately I will not be able to do this alone, so I am looking for the following to help organise the running of the quest. Confident MDScripter Dreamweaver Murder item. Once I have the above I can start dealing out "information" and then update this thread with what this quest is all about and will entail! Please send me a PM in game or in forum if you're willing to help!
  6. Turns out the page decided to not load correctly? It seems to be functioning alright now. Odd.. I cropped it because I thought it showed just below the account opening date, heh. Aka - I'm blind. Sorry :P
  7. Active day overview does't show up on my profile page, even after refreshing/logging in or out. Should show as "Active Days: 100% (16 out of 15)" (or something like that) Note: This seems to have only happened since I went through story mode yesterday.
  8. Although I have now progressed I am unable to exit story mode. http://storenow.net/my/?f=c1282aadb6de17f465f165b563d15a03 http://storenow.net/my/?f=ac67f0c7746a0648fa0f40a840ea65df
  9. Muratus del Mur - He doesn't have a problem with noobs! In fact, he'll happily play mean pranks on them (like get them drunk.) That's a positive I guess! WittyLeWatt - Always helpful, always fun and always a friendly person to be around! Proud to call her a friend :) I reached all requirements to progress to MP4 where I'll start training my stats properly! :D
  10. Or not...
  11. I am happy to "take" either dreams or research interface? :)
  12. So, I've noticed through reading forums and listening to what people have told me that there's always quite a bit of conflict, negativity and...exchange of less "pleasant" talk. I feel there isn't quite the balancing amount of positivity, so I'd like to try and change that. There's a few things you could do here and I'll list a few. :) Give someone a compliment! - Feel like there's someone that's doing really well at something? Someone that you're good friends with that you just want to say something nice about? Whatever your reason, give someone a shout out and say something positive about them or their work! Every time you make a negative comment, make a positive one here! - It could be a congratulations, it could be the above idea or it could even be something good about the game? I know many of you will laugh or roll your eyes at it, but you'll be surprised how easy it is to make even one positive comment, about someone or something, and how often it can have a big impact on someone! I don't expect you all to love this, or even take part, but it would be nice to see some positivity balancing out the negativity! :D It doesn't take long to say a few words. :) (You could take Chewett's "Dedication to a friend" quest as an example of what to write!) So to start things off: Syrian - You've been there since the very beginning and you're still putting up with me! Guiding when I get lost, helping me when I get confused and training me (because I'm weak :(). Thank you for your patience and guidance, I consider you a good friend! :) Lintara - Again, you've been there since the beginning and you made me feel so welcome! You're always so happy and bubbly it becomes infectious! So thank you. :D Neno Veliki - I don't know you in game yet, but I didn't get a chance to congratulate you on your marriage! Hope you had a lovely day and here's to the rest of your life with the one you love! Congratulations! ^.^ Aeoshattr - You may be quiet, grumpy and still annoyed that I suited the name "Aeos" better than you :P but you're an awesome person to roleplay with and talk to. Thank you :) Story Makers - I have no idea what it was like before but I've heard people say that RP of such sorts as you orchestrate had been dead for a long time. Well thank you for reviving it. It's been great fun so far and it has definitely helped me to become integrated into the game and it's society quicker! :D
  13. I won't say it's impossible, but I'll quite happily say it sounds like...babbling. It isn't "said" (meaning common belief) that heat is the polar opposite to liquid dust at all. Though, if you can prove that wrong then I'll happily admit I'm wrong. :) To say that it is the "mirror" would mean that if you believe liquid dust runs into Necrovion, then that is where heat runs out from...Which doesn't seem right if you look at heat veins and such. Also you'd be insinuating that heat was barely around Necrovion, that it become more material as it moved away from the land? Which seems odd as heat is created by us, not the land itself? Doesn't imply that at all? I mean, why does there have to be a solvent? Is it not possible for it to have a "solidifier" of sorts?
  14. http://storenow.net/my/?f=bb94c7c192d596b52ace6fda039f6965 Still an issue.
  15. Believe it or not, I was reading the forums for over a month before I joined. :)
  16. After some thought I have decided to not sell. Though I may do so in the future. :) Topic can be closed. ^_^
  17. When you realise you've played in all of the following areas: In bed In the bath In the shower In the kitchen In the garden In the loft In uni On the bus On the train On the toilet
  18. Ah, sorry :( But thank you :) I'd like the GG please.
  19. I think it would be good for everyone to draw there own picture. ^_^ Simply because this isn't just an art contest so no one should be worried about doing a terrible drawing, so long as a lot of thought and effort has gone into their connections. :) Edit: And thank you for your sponsoring!
  20. Hello there! What follows is my first quest created, so try not to judge me too harshly! :D We all know what emotions feel like and we all know what they look like, at least...on a person. But emotions can be triggered through seeing or smelling something that stimulates an old memory, this can be consciously or subconsciously. This is thanks to the amazing part of our brain called the limbic system, also known as "the emotional brain", and human conditioning to associate through sight and smell! We can also flip this on it's head! We often associate certain objects to our emotions. For example: when upset people can crave chocolate - due to the body recognizing that chocolate can make us happy - because of the tryptophan levels in it being used by the brain to create serotonin! Anyway, enough of the science lesson though and down to the task at hand! For this quest your task is to recall 4 different emotions and draw an object that you associate to each one. You should also provide a sentence or two about what it is that makes you associate the two for each emotion. You could draw a bar of chocolate, a horse, a carrot or even a toilet? Who knows what you feel when sat on a toilet! (Though we probably don't want to know...) This could be an association you yourself feel or it could just be a generally associated object and emotion, e.g Tombstone >> Sadness. Where to post Please post all entries here on this thread. Judging All entries shall be judged by myself and two others. We will be looking at if you've made a good connection between the emotion and object, how well it's drawn and more subjective reasons such as is it funny, is it cleverly done, etc. Winners will receive 1st: Wish point + Tear Filled Cranium + 3sc 2nd: 10th Anniversary Aramor + 8sc 3rd: Imperial Aramor + Teleport to PC Stone + Random item + 8sc 4th/5th/6th: 5sc Closing date All entries should be in from one week of this post (MD Day 125) no later than 23:59 ST Good luck and have fun! ^_^ Sponsors for extra prizes (4th, 5th, 6th, etc) are welcome! Current sponsors *Syrian* - WP (1st), Teleport to PC Stone (3rd) gonzalocsdf - 5sc (2nd & 3rd), 2sc (4th, 5th & 6th) *Sasha Lilias* - Imperial Aramor (3rd) Muratus del Mur - 3sc (All participants), Random item (3rd)
  21. Picking the "pickable" stone things from Loreroot causes an a nameless item with no description to be created. Passing the "non-item" brings up "Aethon passed to Orvid" These "non-items" still have an ID, eg. 97127 :)
  22. As this seems to be the "done thing" I thought I'd kick start it off! ^.^ Happy birthday Burns! Have a great day and congratulations for not dying! :P
  23. Ritual of Self-Renewal Intro Sometimes we become lost. An instance in our lives may change our circumstances, causing us to veer from the path we once believed to be the correct one. An example of this would be losing a loved one, one that we held dear to us. Such a loss can lead to "rituals" of self-destruction like drowning emotions in alcohol, becoming angry and hateful at all reminders of the person, sometimes even at the deceased one, thinking them selfish for leaving you and causing you such pain. But the most common reason of all? Sorrow. Sorrow, when allowed to overwhelm us, changes us, whether we mean it to or not. This could be through loss of appetite, depression, quietness; all of these change us, lead us on a new path Ritual This ritual is one of self-renewal after loss, removing sorrow before it overwhelms. For this I am going to use an example, a ritual of self-renewal I saw when I first arrived. Molquert's "Fat Tuesday". Now, this came in two parts - the rather sombre procession and the merriment of drinking. I will explain the "ritualistic" sides of both. Procession A procession like Molquerts allows us to remember him and relieve our sorrows, whilst being able to support and comfort friends and/or family going through the same bereavement process. Walking through an area - often one that held meaning to the deceased - brings back memories we might have had of them there. Remembering the times they were happy and alive. Walking in a group allows people to show support to one another, helping those that struggle to remember the deceased or their times of joy. This gives people the strength to stand back up, brush themselves off and fight through the feelings of depression and loneliness, as they remember the good and understand they are not alone, that they have people there to help them if they need it. Standing in silence at the deceased one's grave allows for the time to say "goodbye", showing your final respects and giving time for those last floods of sorrow to escape. Both of these together allows for the person grieving to understand that whilst they might be gone from this world, they are never gone from our hearts of heads; lending some comfort to the situation. The Wake A wake can be one of pure respect, remembrance and a final time to release for those grieving or it may be a merry one with songs, games, dance and alcohol. Both of these are fine to do, it depends on the people involved: both what the living want and what the dead would have wanted. Dancing, drinking, partying, these all raise the spirits of the mourners, allowing them to remember the deceased through happiness and laughter, helping to push out those last few drops of sorrow. Again, this fortifies the knowledge that they aren't alone, that there are others around them that are going through the same process, giving the person the strength to fight on, not just for their sake...but everyone else's. "Conclusion" Although this process doesn't work for all, the "What to do" remains the same : Mourn >> Remember >> Rejoice Ruminating on thoughts of sorrow will lead to destructive actions and consequences, so it is essential to be happy, remember the good and surround yourself with those of similar feelings so that you can support each other and know you're not alone. Sadness is normal and expected, but don't allow the sorrow (deeper feelings of sadness) to destroy you. Doing this at any stage of sorrow, the beginning or 5 months in, will help you to find the correct path again. Though, the longer you leave it the harder it becomes. It won't be easy but determination is the key. (This is more of a generic "ritual", using the Fat Tuesday as an example. Hope that's allowed? :S)
  24. As one of the "characters" I do to hold a responsibility to take. As do all of the others that were in the team. I was apologizing for myself, but also on behalf of everyone else, as I'm sure, if we had known this would have been the outcome, we would have certainly made a list, checking it twice to find out who's been naughty or nice (and deserved reviving! <insert joking voice here> :P). However, we are only human and, as humans, we make mistakes. As I have said, all we can do is learn from this and move forward! There really isn't a need to argue over a situation like this when it is so easily righted! :) Thank you for the encouragement, but as I said, I was more taking the blame for myself than everyone. :)
