@Chewett: land loyalty was introduced to reduce viscosity and to "encourage" the "land hopping" for changing the groups . I can't imagine another reason for them at that time. If ppl would stay all their life in just one land ... why should they be better then those that "change their minds" or cannot ? What would happen to those that are voted out ? At first I was against for "encouraging" the land-hoppers, then I hated it because of the restrictions (loyalty restricted items), but lately I don't care. If they can do it and ppl still allow them to join their lands then they have a good reason for switching lands. Who are we to judge all cases ?

@Kyphis: WHY ? You are proposing something, YOU should explain your reasoning. I will tell you : NO. I don't agree with lowering the the loyalty for the other lands. It impacts most those that don't do it on purpose. DD, even if they gain more benefits, some of them are not doing it on purpose. It is called LIFE. Just like : after 4 years after staying 1 year in France, you would not remember a single thing of it. Kyphis & DD: Please explain your reasoning.

Nice ideas. Some good , some bad but still somewhat interesting. Can you ppl continue your ideas ? Can you just preview the outcome of your proposals ? If you do, then write also why your my is good. Otherwise it is a crappy idea , not chiseled , with lots of gaps and thus not that good. Chewett said: Changes we could make are: A. Random time, dont tell anyone when it is B. I don't say that it is not the case for some, but still it is a good interval to split the world. C. Considering the above. Why should you bother changing the system. It would only complicate it and would give you a lot of headache. My opinion : Do as you wish, just don't choose A (hidden random times).

DD, nice idea but in MD we don't have butterflies , we have drachorns :P On Topic: Way overpowered. Try to gather the stats of all the creatures and you will see why it is overpowered. (at least in stats). Also, consider that no creatures should be too powerful, it should have weaknesses. If you create a creature very strong in one point, you create it weak in more then one other. (see the bird, pope and many more) Lose some auras, targets and abilities.

As this is really far way from topic, i have a question from you: what would happen if you'd have 1000 of same & each resource in a single place ? What's the worst that can happen ? As for : Why don't you update "List of resources (from Awiiya's K doc).xls". Also, you can read this as a feedback .

Correction: Indeed it is 23 minutes Thank you Syrian: yes it seems like the "shared to all" buckets are 4 times slower then the "shared to MB" buckets. Also there are 3 "shared to all" buckets and like 20 "shared to MB" buckets. That is only to complete a bit the picture. I do hope that their location will be more accessible then MDA and will be shared to all (hopefully all but MB). I am sorry Nad, I didn't knew that you stopped getting those shared (for all) buckets. But I thank you Nad for validating that I was correct in my statement (at least until some time recent as you say). And if that is (ok, was) the only way to grab a bucket (use of "several events teleport spells") from you then I guess that not many ppl used those tools to collect water. I am glad that I managed to break your embargo and I really did felt sorry for those that we had to send away and were not under your control. @Rhaegar Targaryen: Considering the profit from selling water for under monopole, there is no point on lowering the prices. (+1 Syrian)+ True, "800 silver to get the 8 gardening" is not acceptable and the rates of resource exchange is also not acceptable. So, unless there are some changes, those Gardening tools are still seen as exclusive items for MB for a very long time. _______________________________________ I know that together we can break any monopoly.

No, bots are not allowed in MD. They are not / never where taken in consideration with more then : "never". MD & HC is about ppl interaction.

I will not talk about long term objectives in RL as it is RL. In MD, just check my page, I keep it just for that : No one So, my biggest long term project would be 10k from each herb. NOTE: I gathered those myself so far and I plan on keeping it like that. As with stats I can never get on top, I will just stick to resources and a creature collection. ;)

The problem is that it would be more unfair by far then what it is today /was at the beginning. You are taking the fighting comments out of the context of HC & what you proposed. So, the whole idea of HC is to fight ppl involved in HC and to being unable to sit for too long and fighting the side effects of large amounts of heads and running to keep those heads as a whole and finally winning fights or losing strategical fights. With what you proposed ... ok, it is not JUST sitting, but you will never interact with the other groups. There is no need, you will just lose time tracking their groups. If you don't have a bigger group, YOU WILL LOSE. The concept of stealing is good. The idea of generating heads ... could good. The problem is when you generate heads from fights. And you mentioned that alliance ppl are in disadvantage. You are wrong. You forget what alliance means. It means a group of ppl sticking for same purpose. You cannot compete with large active alliances that want to win HC the way you proposed. They will drop out of alliance and they will fight each other in the hidden / faraway locations that they have access to. An active alliance would have access to huge resources that would allow them to win HC for all of their ppl . So, do you still think that alliances are in "disadvantage" ?

Actually that would not be really fair as fighting groups would / could generate the large amounts of wins required to win. We still need the "steal effect" of the win. @Menhir: both MD & HC crisys but MD is almost impossible to change so we could concentrate on the HC. _____________________________________ PS: if you have nothing else to think of, you can always join us.

@ Jester: Nice idea with points. The problem comes from the fact the the strong & active will ALWAYS get the most points. So, the way you proposed can only be played as a BHC. We need a solution for HC so that it would make it attractive and to enforce competition. My point is that without 10-20 players of same MP to actively play it ... there is no point in holding the HC for the that MP.

I agree with Burns. HC is mostly spotting your place in queue. I remember when I won HC back in '08. So much battles and races. And I didn't even won a gold medal. Yes, let abolish the gold medals for HC.

Buckets are not free, not even in MDA. They are difficult to get if you don't have the required AP / knowledge on how to get there. They are even more difficult to get because MB ppl protect / grab them. And then ... do you think that having a bucket will generate water for you ? The cool down for the "free" buckets is about 66 minutes where the other MB buckets is at 8 minutes ( I think ). So, how much water do you think you will get with one "free" bucket after just 2 hours of resource reset ?

It seems to be missing one option: "No reputation display at all but +/- for each post" <----- I vote for this one. The negative feedback is imperative for a correct system. Otherwise the one that gives the "-" would have to "spam" the topic for each post he "dislikes".

@Change: you didn't answered me: Who has the spell ? I grind resources as sometimes it is the only thing I have time for. I grind resources like others grind stats. And yes, that is correct: I " want the people who grind the most to get the most resources". If you don't care about resources, then why should you have them ? Don't get it wrong, I don't care about this feature but I only see it as abuse-able by the spellcaster or its friends. Also, if I am not mistaken, wouldn't your "feature" work against those with sand castles (not that I have one) ? Do you despise them that much ?

Continue your idea. So what if "you can grab" the thief ? PO was a fugitive idling at GoE. That is what you want ? Another bs punishment system? Why don't you imagine a really innovative feature ? A way to introduce recipes faster / huge amounts of them. More ways to impact gaming experience through items. C'mon MD, you can do better then "stealing" ? Is that the you want MD to teach us / the children among us ? -
So, who has the spell for rain would be able to gather "bushies" whenever he/she wants ? Great idea, great abuses. Any idea on how to work around the abuses ? I don't have any.
