1. My BASIC research on Aramours comes to ~4800 characters >.> I'm going to be submitting ONE paper for a fortnight, when the team is ready.
2. Just found the above artwork in the 3.0 Monster Manual II under the entry Famine Spirit. With a release date of September 1, 2002, it looks like DND had it first. The image is identical to that used in 4e Monster Manual II for the Corrupted Glutton. I've gone through my books, and haven't found any other artworks. I've been checking the few hundred avatars I have as well as creature images. I've looked through: 3.0 Monster Manual 3.0 Monster Manual II 4e Monster Manual SNS Creature Collection
3.
this saddens me. It is very likely the artist that made this artwork for me copied it from dnd. Some of his work i couldnt use because he did that and when i found out i stoped working with him and removed all artworks i found copied. However some apparently escaped me. Now i have to remove the grasan , or at least change that level. Regardless if Wizards say anything ever, i can't stand having copied art in md. And when i think this one means also the "pimped" level .. please look more into it see if other creatures are in there as well.
We are looking through to see if any others turn up. Haven't found any yet, but I only have a small collection of the books myself. However, if as it looks like it turns out that you had the original image and they copied you, that would mean that They are the ones breaching copy right, and they have to change the image, not you.
First.. I highly doubt that this image has been traced over in any way, shape, or form. It looks very free hand and has very clear differences from the version depicted in the DnD manual. A copied image would look literally identical in pose, shape, dress, shading, etc. I believe what you all mean to say is that the idea for the grasan was taken from this particular creature in the DnD manual. I doubt very much that the creator of the grasan artwork has any reason to trace. Also, I will say that the general idea for the shape of the grasan creature is very common so it doesn't surprise me that this has come up, especially since the illustration for the 'Corrupted Glutton' came out in 2010.
Amoran, I believe you have missunderstood. It looks like DND stole the artwork from MD. In which case the Corrupted Glutton is barely changed from a grassan II. If you compare that to the artwork for the Grasan II (which I won't upload unless Mur says I can, what with the no spoiler rules), The arms; legs; clothes; number of fingers; lines on the chest; mouth pose; eyes; head; feet; stance; are all clear reproductions. It is clear that it is not a tracing, because the creature appears to be looking slightly right instead of straight on, however it looks exactly like someone has sat in front of a picture of a Grasan II and drawn it freehand.
4. Just to clarify, this statement refers specifically to the granting of the access keys to someone, not to limiting use of the tools, yes?
5. I've got all the 3.5 monster manuals, and haven't found it in them. However, that doesn't mean it isn't in an even earlier edition. Hopefully we had it first, since I don't want the Grasan to get a new artwork, and I don't want MD to get sued for copyright infringement
6. I was looking through the 4e DND Monster Manual III today, and found an entry on page 54 for the creature Corrupted Glutton. The artwork for this creature is almost completely identical to that of the Grasan II. This particular edition of the Monster Manual was first released on June 15, 2010, however the image may have been recycled from an earlier edition. Since this image is copyrighted by Wizards of the Coast, it would be a good idea to find out which came first and why they look so identical. Here is a link to a PDF of the book. The page has a document scanner so you can locate the "Corrupted Glutton" entry very quickly. 7. The group of us who are doing this job voluntarily (Mur hasn't picked us, and may form his own team in the future) are currently discussing it. We should get back to you in a day or three.
8. If the majority of the community felt Grido was doing something wrong, then something would probably change (either from the top down, or better yet Grido would reflect on the results and try to change the public opinion of him). Think of the French revolution. Almost every peasant had the same opinion, however because they where not united nothing happened and the abuse continued. However, since the majority of the public (who responded) seem to feel Grido is doing a good job, then while Pips views may be valid for his position, it suggests that Grido is still doing a good job. A few issues that the community deems as ill dealt with do not, and should not, condemn someone. Whether this means that nothing will happen is not clear. The sheer fact that this topic was made should make Grido think about the way people perceive his role and actions (note: perceive them, not what they actually are). The way that the poll turned out in Grido's favor will hopefully also make Grido's detractors think about why it turned out as such, and hopefully try to understand both their, and Grido's, positions better (there is nothing wrong with either perspective, however it is important to remember it is your own perspective first and foremost, and no-one at all has the whole story).
9. Brilliant, Shem
10.
As to the publicness, I believe the best method would be to call this would be that he made an example of it, creating a (exemplary case? I remember there was a word for that, I forgot which.)
Precedent. On Topic: Considering we don't actually know the details of what happened (the bug could have been how to access locked locations, for all we know. A bug we know exists, in the currently un-duplicatable expanse)...
11. It says on your Member details, next to your post, that you have only just made 500. Is it still not possible, or did posting that issue fix it?
12. Because you can see the Titles of all the different clues, this means if you want a specific one you can write your research paper on that, making it possible to unlock all the clues without spending any wishpoints, so long as you do the hard yards on research. However, the great advantage to this is that while you know the title, you don't know the content. This means that while trying to unlock one clue you may unlock a completely different one, allowing you to see a connection you never would have thought of before so that you can continue a deeper level of research, or possibly even add brand new clues to a location. So there are a lot of rewards for writing research, within the research system.

15. Nifty Still, how long does the effect of a cause fight last for? I assume until the trigger is out of the Trigger Box?
16. I think it will largely depend on how it interacts with the causes people fight for. For example, right now the text of that newspost suggests that it will have its effect regardless of whether people are fighting for the same cause against that person (ie three people fighting "4 teh lulz" and seven "To smite Evil" would give a total of 10 cause fighters). There is also the question of how long the cause fights count lasts.
17.
why Peace of course
I wonder why
18. What location shall I meet you at then?
19. I doubt this applies to any artworks on MD, as I have not seen any pieces that are in the MD style (I have not gone through very much though). However, if you publish artworks on DA or any other internet site that are in the same style as the other stolen artworks, I would suggest looking into this if you haven't already as the work of almost 600 artists has been identified as stolen, with more being identified quite often. Link EDIT: I have since seen several artworks in the same style as MD's pieces, however so far nothing I recognize... from here... Although he has stolen from Marvel, DC, Disney, and many other famous groups. Even claimed work done by a famous Australian Graffiti artist called Banksy was his (yay photoshop) (Mods, if this is in the wrong topic, please move it)
20. Shame, I won't be able to come... ah well, I hope you all have a fine time at the party! And goodluck with the new pub, I know you will do quite well.
21. Happy Birthday!
22. I completely agree with Pip, and am personally in the same position (actually, I find Eon's ability hilarious). The only reason I fight is to raise creatures, so stats are only vaguely important to me. Since I don't sacrifice creatures, the only way I gain stats is through combat. I'm not fond of getting skill damage, and try to keep my balance good, but Eon's is now just a part of the game, that he earned, so if he hits me it is out of my control and something I can ignore, or even laugh about. For those of you who want to work on making a skill damage buffer, don't wait for Mur or the council to act. The last stack of major updates have made it possible for YOU to act now. Use the cauldron, work out a formulae and make something to protect you. There are all sorts of things you could do: Potions to negate skill damage for a period; shields that reduce it; nexus crystals to reduce it over an entire scene; your only limited by your imagination (and after that, ability to get the materials) The potion would most likely be easiest, since it really just needs the right herbs, incantations and fluids. EDIT: Oh yes, the original idea might work if it was a skill increase that only applied while you where Idle, wasn't cumulative, wasn't active for the first 15 or so minutes of going idle, and was capped at something like 10 for each stat. That would prevent people just going Idle right before a retaliation attack happened for the stat boost, as well as provide a nice buffer the would prevent skill damage from being Idle unless someone WANTED to give you stat damage for some reason.
