2 gold, 6 silver for Al Capone 4 silver for Day Dreamer

These titles were proposed for lot 2. Lot 2 won't happen for awhile, but I'm recording these here so they don't get forgotten. Rikstar - "Knight Commander" Clock Master - "Kingsguard" Intrigue - "Vigilant Guardian" Krioni - "Consul of Loreroot"

Bump! I still need to hear from the following people: Ailith Azull BFH Emerald Arcanix Eon Granos Grido Handy Pockets Junior Kempiniukas Lazarus MRD Mya Celestia Peace Pipstickz Princ Rhaegar Rophs Syrian Yrthilian Zleiphneir If you're on this list you need to fill out the form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1XPZYFMI2S9srxTrsZA3g9C5KAlBcnry46d9tTI1fe4o/viewform). Exception being if you've given your address to Mur already (but if that's the case, please shoot me a PM to let me know that's been arranged). Two things. 1. Your address will be shared with myself (Ivorak), Mur, and your granting/confirming authorities (one of these players will be sending you your title after they've both signed it). You can see who these players are here: http://magicduel.invisionzone.com/topic/15883-title-docs-lot-1/. 2. If your mail needs your name with it to reach you, please include that in the address section of the form. Thanks!

This might change a bit more before things are through, but I wanted to post the lot 1 titles for the sake of posterity. Kyphis got me, so we're even. :P

If social issues cannot be resolved by social means (and that doesn't just mean asking nicely, blacklists and player inflicted punishments are just as welcome in my book), there's another option if you don't want your quest tampered with: design your quest so that it can't be tampered with. Quite simple, though this rules out most races and such. Oh well. If using teleport spells on someone involved in a quest is outlawed, I'm done here. I say this as someone who doesn't have any teleport spells. Interactions are at the heart of MD and I don't think they need to be consensual if they are intentionally enabled by code. "Intentionally" because bug abuses are another matter and "enabled by code" because RP Reality Requirements and more importantly the rules against obscene language are necessarily governed by laws instead of mechanics. But we allow for emergence, because that's more or less the point of unscripted interaction. To clarify, some examples: I. Got a knife? Feel free to stab someone in the back. The only consequences you have to worry about are what other players do in return. Upset about being dead? Find a way to get revived. And better yet, get revenge. Or maybe you just want justice? Get your land leader to pass laws regarding killings and use land funds to secure means to enforce these laws. Seek treaties with other lands and groups to strengthen these deterrents. II. Want to prevent resource depletion. Post an armed guard. III. Afraid someone's gonna mess with your quest? Silvertongue them repeatedly for the duration. Or pay someone else to distract them. Or hold a signup for your event in advance, so you can message the participants the start time privately and hold the event in secret. Or plan the event for when they're usually offline. If you start to bifurcate the realm based upon the idea that interference is bad, then we might as well all have an instance of MD to ourselves. And that would be lame. A singleplayer PvP, wat? Addendums: I. I'm afraid my examples aren't too great, but you've got me riled. II. I think the divide here might be differences of thought about roleplaying. I consider myself a roleplayer, but I rely upon ideas and mechanics, rather than make believe. You should too. It would make me happy.

I edited the names in the first post with a strike through for those who have responded. Everyone else, please do. (If you've sent it directly to Mur, that's fine, but a post here saying that's what you've done would make my job easier.)

Good work, Rophs! I added a brief intro and tagged it with the resources category. I made a list of all the resources at http://magicduel.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Resources, if you click a link for which there is no page it will prompt you to create one. Zyrxae's Resources of the Realm spreadsheet is a good starting point https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhfiqLPs3vohdGxwNURkN2dqVzIxZjNUOEZaVUJyWXc#gid=1 If I have the time Saturday, thinking about sitting Ivorak down somewhere in MD while I edit the wiki. Anyone want to join me?

Thanks, Kyphis! Added that list to the original post. Has a postman been selected?

We need your mailing address so we can send your title your way! If you are on the list to receive a title, please fill out the following form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1XPZYFMI2S9srxTrsZA3g9C5KAlBcnry46d9tTI1fe4o/viewform. Responses will be seen by myself (Ivorak), Mur, and your respective granting and confirming authorities. If you cannot disclose your home address, please refer to http://magicduel.invisionzone.com/topic/15633-md-titles-issue-disclosing-personal-home-address/ and let us know if there's a problem. The list of those getting titles (for this first round) can be found below. Please respond to http://magicduel.invisionzone.com/topic/15649-md-titles-updated-list-with-suggested-hierarchy/ if there are any errors. I don't use the wiki much because it rarely contains the information I'm looking for. And it's not easy to browse. I want to (and as an Archivist, really should) edit the wiki more, but I can't get past my thoughts that Wikia has taken MediaWiki and crippled it by removing or hiding many of its features. For instance, why does only two results? Okay, so Wikia's MediaWiki installation is a bit quirky but it's not as crippled as I thought. Those links on http://magicduel.wikia.com/wiki/Special:AllPages are to index pages! And http://magicduel.wikia.com/wiki/Special:RecentChanges?days=365&limit=500 will give you all the changes in the past year. Not many, are there? Let's change that.

Actually, I would agree with "Throughout time past, even with the promise of fame and status, his dedication did not waver." Non-essential clauses should always be set apart with a pair of commas. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dependent_clause#English_punctuation.

I think he's been judge for a while, will try to confirm. Okay, so how about a final call for fixes? I'm gonna go through the list (https://titanpad.com/A2GfPvEanN) a few hours and put it in order for Mur.

Not that I'm aware of, unless you're talking about the awarding of new titles. This first round is intended to go out to people who had corresponding tags prior to the announcement of title docs, but I think everyone on that list meets that requirement. If not, let me know.

Thanks, added Eagle Eye. There's just the one judge, right?

Sorry for the slow response; I moved a few hundred miles, started a new job, and hosted a 36 hour hackathon with 300 attendees all in the past week. This was something Mur said previously, but the situation has changed a lot since then as we've worked out more details about titles. I'll add Sunfire back in. Will hold off on KC mercenaries for now.

dst raised these questions and I'll turn them over to the community: Tipu, Azull, and Sunfire have a tag for the knator's mercenaries. Do we consider this a group tag or is it important/specific enough to add these to the list? Sunfire didn't actually quit MD despite his forum post. Should he receive the tag "Consul of Loreroot" for his former role?

Made changes as per Chewett's suggestions (which also reminded me to add Yrthilian to the list; can someone confirm he's still around? If he is there's probably another title or two he should have, right?). And also added Max Mortlock. Also corrected Resurrected Corpse (Lazarus) to Mur. Also fixed order of MR's (should be MRD granting title to MRAlyon, I think. Is that correct?).

Thanks Chewett. You're right, not Z. Garden is not part of established housings. Changed to Mur confirming. As for Kempiniukas, his role is older than either of his land leaders so it could also be granted by Mur and confirmed by one of the land leaders. Or granted and confirmed by his land leaders to be fair. nadrolski shall be Princ Rhaegar and Chewett. Azull is a current leader, is he not? Why would Peace confirm his title? Mur awards Miq, no confirming As for the others, Chewett, you seem to have previous rulers being awarded by the present rulers and present rulers awarded by their priors. I don't think that makes sense (you have no authority to give a title until you receive a title from the person whose title you are giving) and I don't believe it was stated that it should occur that way, but I might have missed something. I thought we said current land leaders would get there titles from Mur and reward previous land leaders their titles going back. The one case where this doesn't occur isn't a land leader position and is required because BFH does not have the time to be involved. I've also removed "former" from the titles. And added Innocence back to the list. Edit: Been away a little, just noticed there are other topics I'm behind on. Apologize if I made any mistakes here before I catch up on those.

Thanks, Intrigue. Fixed. Before I submit this round to Mur, any further suggestions? Rophs, what's the status of this?

After hearing from Rhaegar, I have: Fixed nadrolski's title to "Water Dowser's Leader" from "Water Dowser Leader" Moved Rikstar and Clock Master to a new waiting list (to be dealt with next round) section at the end of the doc. Added Emerald Arcanix { "title": "Pilgrim of Marind Bell", "recipient": "Emerald Arcanix", "authorities": { "granting authority": "Princ Rhaegar", "confirming authority": "Muratus del Mur" } } Also moved Innocence to the waiting list, as the title is disputed. See the up to date list here: https://titanpad.com/A2GfPvEanN Kiley, redneck, and Fire Starter should receive titles to match their tags; can anyone confirm them active? Or would anyone care to dispute redneck's tag, "The mosquito"?

Oh. Thanks for clarifying Azull. I have removed that comment.

New changes Removed gonzalocsdf for the time being since this is a new title (gonzalocsdf doesn't already have this tag. { "title": "Freelance Artist", "recipient": "gonzalocsdf", "authorities": { "granting authority": "Muratus del Mur" "confirming authority": "Mya Celestia" // proposed the title } } Fixed MRD's authorities { "title": "Protector of Golemus", "recipient": "MRD", "authorities": { "granting authority": "Muratus del Mur", "confirming authority": "Grido" // old title, but still under authority of the king } }, { "title": "Former Leader of the MR's", "recipient": "MRD", "authorities": { "granting authority": "MRAlyon", // current title holders will grant former title holders their for the present "confirming authority": "Muratus del Mur" } Added Junior as confirming authority to BFH (N.B. this is the reverse of the general scheme of current title holders granting former title holders, but see http://magicduel.invisionzone.com/topic/15649-md-titles-updated-list-with-suggested-hierarchy/?p=153739) { "title": "Master Advertiser", "recipient": "BFH", "authorities": { "granting authority": "Muratus del Mur", "confirming authority": "Junior" // opposite current scheme of current confirming former } } Added Junior as Former Master Advertiser (now Junior can confirm BFH as above) { "title": "Former Master Advertiser", "recipient": "Junior", "authorities": { "granting authority": "Muratus del Mur", "confirming authority": null } } Added myself (Ivorak) as Secret Ary { "title": "Secret Ary", "recipient": "Ivorak", "authorities": { "granting authority": "Muratus del Mur", "confirming authority": null } } Added Innocence as Raconteur { "title": "Raconteur", "recipient": "Innocence", "authorities": { "granting authority": "Kyphis", // current land leader "confirming authority": "darkraptor" // current land leader } } Next up Can someone confirm the proper spelling of Clock Master's title? There are more players with tags who haven't been confirmed active. Some are on this list: https://titanpad.com/OR5EOoBWdW I've seen some players from Loreroot with tags such as Loreroot Judge, but forgot to note them down.

Thanks, Chewett. Everyone else, please take a look at the other TitanPad at https://titanpad.com/OR5EOoBWdW so we can add the players we have missed and start to figure out who the granting and confirming authorities are for those players.
