1. We can haz results now, yes :?
2. One of the main things I notice amongst newer players is that they have trouble finding the [Restrictions] and [Free credits] links at the top of the page. Both of these are important links, the first to help prevent unnecessary conflict and frustration, and the second to help support MD. My suggestion is to make the [Restrictions] link behave like the [View Announcements] link, highlighting Red if it hasn't been viewed or if the page has been updated, and returning to grey/brown once viewed; and the [Free credits] link to be permanently green. It won't guarantee that they will find them, read them, or use them, but I think it will improve the odds.
3. Aaaaand that's how you get me to bump up my plans... Waiting on a few replies, quest work in the pipeline. When teams are being picked, please send me a PM (forum or in-game, I check both with a 6 hour interval maximum, although occasionally longer to reply)
4.
Right-click the image file and select Edit, it opens in Paint by default.
Just as a warning, [.jpg] files and some other formats open by default in other image programs if you have them (for example, .jpg on mine opens in Windows Photo Gallery). [.bmp] almost always opens in paint (on a windows computer, can't speak for Mac of course), and is usually the best format to save your original images in (minimal distortion).
5.
it X either the X or X of the crit every X days old. in this case it is the X version.
Uh... thats blatant spoiler... you might want to remove that before the mods see it >.>
6. ONE MILLION MONIES. To clarify, I didn't mean that the "official" stance would be different, I mean't that the argument from the non-official people (ie, everyone who comments other than Mur, since the councils identity is secret) would treat it as though it was different
7.
But this brings up another idea. Suppose my wish is that somebody ELSE gets a spell, or custom item, or special ability.... Why could I not use my wish to give somebody else powers? It would still be my wish, just somebody else's benefit. (Do you hear those rules bending...?)
That idea is doable, the problem is that it would require a lot more effort with organization on Mur's/the council's behalf than the normal method, as well as requiring alt checks. I have made some relatively simple non-standard requests in the past, and each one has taken about a week to get done with the information required. Back on topic... I'm glad to hear you are still going to run this quest. While the second option you presented was definitely a bit of a rule breaker, the first option or the option Fyrd and Udgard advocated wouldn't really be abuse at all. I'll certainly be amused when someone tries to apply that logic to trading bestiaries, though >.> (bestiaries being a standard trade good, just like any other item, should have exactly the same logic, or at least very similar, to this case, but I bet it won't)
8. Actually, Chewet is correct in that what you have stated is against the rules. Your suggestion is simple to define: Wishpoint Trading. From the rules page: Exchanging WishPoints between you. WP should be rewarded only for good reasons. Note that this is the only rule in Bold on the whole page, and is on the list of things that will get you a Permanent ban. What you are saying is that if someone uses their wishpoint to create an item for you, then you will reimburse them with Coins & a wishpoint. The problem is not in the getting someone to make an item for you, but in the payment of a wishpoint. Also, from what I gather from your information, you are to be awarded a wishpoint, not a wishpoint code, so you could not give it to the person anyway (note: even if you did get a code, this would not stop it being against the rules). All wishpoints have to be earned by the person awarded them The only ways for you to do this is to find someone willing to do it for just coins or credits or creatures (the 3C's) which was your first suggestion, or wait until you can convince Jester to award you your wishpoint. (I'ma stop now, since my internet keeps freezing)
9.
If you mean this new homepage with just one page to register on..isnt that disabled already? When I use magicduel.com I get to the old page..
Ah, my mistake. I was not aware that the old page had been re-instated. Happy to hear that news Well, since this is a complete non-issue, shall we close this topic? (PS: Yes, Grido, you are being blind . The button is, as BFH pointed out, two left of the one you are thinking of) cba to post a reply, so i'll just edit actually laptop is screwy, pictures don't always show on the toolbar, and that link is a picture, so i literally couldn't see it lol - Grido
10. I don't really want to post this since I still much prefer the old Homepage to the new one, but... For those of us with the MD Toolbar, clicking the [MagicDuel] button will take you to the old homepage, rather than the new one. But hey, if you want to leave this bug there, I'm cool with that >.> Just sayin' <.<
11. And of course, you can find a friend (either in RL or MD) who has one of these programs and get their assistance, if you can't locate a suitable program (although Gimp is pretty damn good)
12. Another thing that could be in the shop, that I would LOVE: De-tokening. Randomly pick a creature with tokens, and remove all of them. Something else: De-leveling. Randomly picks a creature and reduces it to first level, but does nothing to a creatures accumulated stats (wins/experience/days). This would be useful only to creature collectors who want the "Full Glow" achievement, but desire to not only have one of every creature, but one of every creature at every level. This would also be useful if there where ever tournaments with level restrictions on the creatures used, as you would only need to pay the upgrade cost to set it to the level you wanted, and after the contest you could restore it to its max level if desired (however, it would not be good to see such events occur, since for too many people it would require you to have access to this article to compete properly, unless enough notice was given of this events planning in advance that people would have a reasonable amount of time to gain age for leveling new creatures, be that through trade or some other means.)
13. What about Quotes?

(quote name='Player' timestamp='1234567890' post='1'] [/quote)
14. For those postings RP Logs, the Drop Down box BBC code is now: (log=Log Box Name]Big log[/log) This makes (replacing the round brackets with Square brackets, of course): [log=Log Box Name]Big log[/log]
15. Oh beloved Mulgrave Whenever I see you, I get all warm and sweaty. They can say that's just the food poisoning all they want, I know I love every vomit inducing inch of you. You hair, it is like a long river of curly brown fur. Seriously, take a bath, its getting a bit gross. Your eyes... well I don't know what they look like to be honest, I never pay attention to them. But I am sure they are sort of okay. Maybe. I love to watch you walk away from me. There is just something in the way you sway your hips that says "every step I take makes me harder to see". I tolerate that pink sweater you insist on wearing, a little bit less each day. Please get a new one. Made of paper. For your head. I love the way that you are always ready to talk to me about your problems. Just don't every expect me to pay attention or stay awake. Most of all, above all of this, I love the way that I almost never have to see you. Cherio, I'm off on a date with Amoran. Have fun cleaning! (Obviously this is for the humour category)
16. Ah, okay. Must have been the planned move I was thinking of.
17.
They even have the needed 'error' in them, its called Venger ..i need one day to meet that guy and figure out how is it possible to play without playing, lol. (inside joke for those that look at active vet list)
Uh.. do you mean Venger, or Vilinec? >.> <.<
18.
Crafters were never in MDA, they used to be called "The Creators" and were in Loreroot with a totally different logo n' stuff, then item creation was created and the Creators were revived and then changed into the Crafters.
I'm 90% sure the Crafters where in the MDA for a while, as I remember them being moved back to Loreroot. I'd need to confirm this, since I am not certain (however, prior to you saying they where not I was certain they had been. My memory is usually pretty good on data older than 3 months >.>)
19.
It's interesting that so far most people lean towards the "both" option. I like looking at all of the various polls on the forums, as a sociologist how people answer polls is one of my favorite things to look at
More interesting is that no-one has picked Principles yet, which means you can infer that [of all the people who have voted so far] everyone who likes the principle approach also appreciates the the viewpoint of science. Also, if all the answers are wrong, but you limited our possible options, then in whom does the fault lie, Kafuuka ?
20. I don't understand the objective of this poll. Please clarify so I may make an informed vote.
21. Curiose, I'm very interested in seeing the revival of the MDA. Since my second week of playing, when I met Je Souis, it has been my only interest in the whole realm. The MDA may never be able to be what it once was. Its past is important, yes, but we need to build on its past, not emulate it. MD has changed since the last age of the Archivists, and I am hard at work on my plans to revitalize it. But hasty plans fail easily, and the MDA is not something to be toyed with. Rest assured, while I still walk the land only Mur could kill the MDA. I look forward to seeing, aiding, and participating in whatever plans you have to help revitalize the MDA, and I look forward to the same from you, when I am ready to tip my hand. (PS: "Inno" is pretty active, she just isn't very public nor does she go on the forum much. If you don't look for what she is doing, you won't see it)
22. Try contacting [council]
23. Don't forget that any animalish avatars still need to conform to the size norms of the more humanoid avatars, ie taller than they are wide (no big empty space at the top or bottom) Cool avatar, kinda makes me wish Burns wolf curse had been permanent I look forward to seeing the final version around the place
24.
(just a side remark ad. 1: If the game is supported using direct DB access and people who 'have access to it and you know what to change and how to change it' then it's a miracle it's not crashing twice a month... That would explain, why such a request would be outright rejected, though...)
Most... functions of any type... use a database >.> There are very few (as a %) sites that don't base almost all variables off of a database >.> I don't get why you are saying doing the normal thing would cause it to be susceptible to frequent crashing? Or even its relevance to the topic >.> More on topic: Mur's alt tracking network is pretty thorough, and proxies and the like never seem to have any success in beating it. If you want to be silly feel free, but as dst already said, be ready for any consequences (for example, permanent bans on all "your" accounts, which would include your friends accounts since they are marked as alts.) Far as the combat experimentation goes... there used to be a section on the main page which suggested a way to play the combat system offline. It was pretty neat, and I wish it was still up (I played it with quite a lot of people, actually. Brought in a few friends to MD). See if someone can post the rules for that, it has the explanation for how to setup any type of fight you want to experiment with. Hopefully that will address your combat aspect of the issue.
25. I know I am not ontopic here (Eh, offtopic section, what ya' gonna do?), but just a friendly reminder the Forum is not for RP. Very interesting question, though.
