1. It does have some relashionship, but it is indeed different from what you propose. Its up to the mods.
2. Ungod posted a topic in New Ideas
What I thought of is not a very good idea, but for some reason it sounds cool to me. This whole thing would work in case of land wars. I was thinking of reinforced gates, going from 1 to 5 levels. Each level would need lots of resources to build (with some specific to each land) and daily/weekly input of resources for maintenance. If there is no daily/weekly input, the level of endurance goes down, making it easier for anyone to enter the land (lowering the AP cost?). Now, this is not meant to replace the AP cost, but to increase the security of the gates, as it should. (this is very raw, but...here it is)
3. It was a great reward and I went twice to the East for this quest...I stopped both times before the Hall of statues - 2 scenes take out all my AP and so...
4. I am incredibly bored, so I will post something :)
This whole thing started on a rotten..err..wonderful day of Tuesday, in the year of the Mur 9. (All participants in this are, as you can see, underage, so no foul language will be used. Nor complex concepts.) TheRichMerchant was strolling around in his land, which he joined like 3 days ago...err...quite some time now and decided to stop at Willow’s Shop. The shopkeeper was busy – all ITC went through them , even sticky goop or toxic gas. Busy or annoyed-who knows? Anyway, Rich convinced him to take a coffee break and started to ask questions about angiens. Not that the shopkeeper knew anything about it, but hey! it was Tuesday morning, the shop smelled like grasan ferment and...who needs all that gloomy talk about wars and deaths and whatever happens in MD in a normal day? The shopkeeper started talking about his wife and kids (yeah, Rich asked him about angiens) and TheRichMerchant realized life is boring. Oh, so boring! He also realized shopkeepers like this one are everywhere. Nobody cares if they die, nor if they live. None of them can ever talk honestly to you, or at least pretend to care. No honesty at all in this rotten world! Time to go to Princ and tell him the shopkeeper stole his silver in a transaction... At least the public execution will invigorate this day!

TheRichMerchant was in front of a tough decision – the toughest of this life. The closest tough decision to this one was probably today, when he had to choose between 30 more minutes of sleep and eating breakfast. Anyway, his decision was to choose an alliance he would join. Now, he read all about alliances and found that there is little profit in most of them, but this wasn’t about profit. It was about where you feel at home, at ease. Well, since there was no guild of merchants, TheRichMerchant felt at ease everywhere and nowhere (while mantaining some decency – after all, if you feel too much at ease...). So, he pondered upon it for a bit, then decided it’s best to flip a coin. Heads – join whatever alliance is desperate enough to accept him, tail – create his own. He did so, with one minor problem – he flipped it at MDP, close to the entrance of UG. And...a silver is a silver, if you lose it, go get it! And so he did, but while in the underground, he lost his AP. Also, it’s quite dark in there, so he couldn’t find his coin. ...When he finally emerged to light, he had to jump from rock to rock, losing his purse of gold, then go up a rope, losing his strength and talk to an obstinate shopkeeper, who said he owns him money, losing his breath...He rushed to MB, thinking he will immediately join KoB, then destroy UG for taking his precious money, join WD and suck all the water so he can find his money w/o getting wet and finally join SoE and kill all shopkeepers and loot all their stuff. ...Richy takes a break in a mental institution now...
5. I think that 800 units in one place is a bit too much, so maybe it would be a good idea to distribute it. At the same time, going there for wiiya might ensure that MDA lands is more frequently visited, but...it all comes down to whether you have wiiya tools. Edit: Hmm, I kinda remember I wrote this. I was really tired back then :)
6. Only me and rawquist...hmmm, I wonder why.
7. I just found the book! Your quest reminded me of ”Alchemical Marriage of Alistair Crompton”, by Robert Sheckley. A very interested read.
8. Approved, it might be, but I cannot see the link to his video anywhere. -_-
9. I am asking myself ”should I?” now :)) Three weeks have passed and since there are no new submissions, participation is closed Thursday, at 00:00. And...closed! Thank you for participation. Results will be published later on.
10. I will work on a list on grasan ferment. :))
11. I am going to side with Ary on this one :) I think his argumentation on why the current system needs to be changed is valid. Edit: not on the ”all” ability, I dont really understand who is right there, but what he says from We are going offtopic now but still I'll say it. on is correct, imo.
12. This was kept a secret for a long time and I think it is time for it to be revealed. I am talking about the secret library in Winds Sanctuary. Many of you probably dont know that in Marind Bell there are a few such libraries or lore collections. Their locations are hidden so well that citizens go through the scene without suspecting anything. I will be talking about the library at the capitol, the one that most citizens of MB have seen and that I had the honor of seeing myself. You know the shop? Well, a secret password told to the shopkeeper will grant you acces to a hidden door. Behind it is the famous library of Marind, which has many interesting items, although not the most powerful. As you walk in, all you see is a huge spiral staircase going up to infinity. The stairs and the hand rails are translucent and you have the feeling you are walking in aether. Climbing a few steps gets you into the first section: books are surrounding you from all sides and are placed so that you can take them with great ease. After finishing with one section, you go up to the next one. I have only gotten through a few and I want to tell you about it. The first section is the historical section. It is a huge one, spawning hundreds of books that I would need days *cough* decades to go through. You can read everything about the land since it was formed, the wars being fought, the famous citizens and many other things. Some very interesting things about alliances, seals and symbols can be found there. I was so excited when I found them that I started yawning. I stretched a little and went up one section. The next one was the section on fighting and war, that kind of thing. I was really impressed with it. Descriptions of weapons and their use, biographies of famous fighters from all lands, techniques of castle-building and means of defense, it was all there. I have never seen such an extensive collection in my life! But as I was going forward, I started to notice something very strange - all those books about war were slowly being changed by books on love, cheating your husband/wife, seducing married women, ways to convince a lover and so on. The ration began to rise alarmingly in favor of such books and I didnt know what was going on. Then everything made sense when I found a book called ”Love is a battlefield”. I cite from memory right now: ”You dont know what the art of fighting is until you master the art of love. Fitghing is easy, but unsheating your sword and jumping from the 3rd floor because her husband has come home sooner is hard. Fighting you wife when she hears about your escapades is hard. Training a few angiens is easy. But dont despair. Love and do what you want.” I had a revelation reading that - I realized my approach to fighting was wrong all along. In order to become a great figher - for the sake of my land - I had to find myself a hot married woman and seduce her. Then, I would know true power. Sun tzu has laid the principles of war marvellously in his book, but what a young man needs is raw experience to toughen him up. Yes, I had to change my view on what it means to be a strong warrior. Oh, how noble it is to sacrifice yourself for the greater good! The next section was a bit...meh. It contained scrapbooks with people while in the land of Marind. It was...well, I found myself in there, picking my nose at MDP. I dont know what kind of people would do something like this (spying on others), but I understand everyone does. And some even have high-tech equipment to do that. Pervs. Anyway, what I realized is that privacy is an important thing. I mean, thats why papparazzis gets beaten, right? CUZ its important. Privacy, I mean. Totally disgusted by the previous section, with a few exceptions (too small to count - women bathing at Willows walk and stuff), I climbed to the next section. In here, the books were just a few, but each of them was a rara avis (in translation, ”rare as hell”). I found a nice book with jokes and funny episodes with necrovians, also containing caricatures. It was called ”Scary doodles or The Fluffy Evil” - a pretty good title, imo. Another book - fantastic book, really - was the mirror-book. It sound interesting, right? And it is - it has no pages, just the cover. As soon as you open it, you read yourself. I mean, you can see your thoughts in there; but not your thoughts thoughts, but your inner thoughs, your subconscious thoughts. I saw a villa with naked girls doing chores. Lots of brunettes, sensual blondes, redheads and I even spotted a japanese girl slicing pizza. They were all working for me - cleaning and dusting, cooking, doing laundry or ironing my shirts, while I was (I remember this vividly) standing in fron of the window thinking that life has no meaning, that we are just products of circumstances and that our choices are only illusions; that we have no control over anything and life is but a dream. I realized at that moment that I might be a misogynist buddhist of some sort. Going up, I had the pleasure of seeing lots of books on cooking. Cooking fish, that is. I never knew so many fish existed - I always liked pork and chicken and as for fish, I loved whale. Those greenpeace guys always deliver the best whale. But here they were, all kinds of books on cooking fish and I was dumbfounded by this, because I have never seen fish in the realm. No fisherman, no fishing pole, no fish at all. My whole diet since I have been here was made up of candy, cake and beer. I am on the verge of becoming a sweets-addicted alcoholic. At that moment, I realised that MD needs more variety, it needs something different, like...muffins. Or pies. With cheese.Or something. My stomach started to growl and I decided I cannot spend more time in the library (although there were still many sections to see!). I rushed down the stairs - thank Princ they were only 213 and went straight to the canteen. I sighted at the sight of the sign which read ”We are out of apple strudel and vodka”. That sign has been there since I remember...
13. Well, 2 weeks have passed already :)

I read the whole post, but you could have written on one subject at a time...:) because I can focus on one thing at a time. About the honor loss and the idea that a stronger player shouldnt help a weaker one...I agree with it, as principle, BUT ...what if you are in the same alliance (or even land) and you want to train your comrade? This is one instance where it should be allowed. The other problem is, ofc, that if you dont have a constant flow of new players (or even alts), there will be combat only between weak and strong players and the honor loss would become an issue. As a principle, I agree with the idea behind it. Just as there was a talk about viscosity, this shouldnt be removed, imo. As a short-term solution, it could be removed, but...think, Ary, think! :p (Im no combat expert, I abstain)
15. I did say 2-3 weeks, but since there seem to be no other participants, I will close this in 2-3 days.
16. Well, you could always wait until story-mode is out of the main picture. That should be soon.
17. I might meddle too much in this :) If you create a new char, it will have to deal with the current issues of MD. Knowing the history of MD will prove useful maybe on the long term, but right now you can only create someone who belongs to this ”time”. I dont know how to explain it, really, but a good rp right now would be a ”new” rp.

And TheRichMerchant wins!! As the most incoherent person when drinking tequila!! Hmm...maybe I shouldnt be so proud of that...or...hic...
19. Writing a character and playing it is different. You will find that playing your role gets you quite close to the ”rp chatroom” feel. I you dont do that (rp chatroom feel),if you are 100% commited to your role and play it to perfection, you will feel distressed, you will not enjoy it and you will start hating it and quit in the end :( Sooo how about letting go of doubts and try to simplify everything? See if you can find your role. If you cant, start writing a book - see how tha works out.
20. So did I :) Aaand Im not really satisfied with this, but at the same time I am undecided. Picking a role means treating (in game) people you might know and like according to your role, which sometimes would mean disliking them. If you are ready to do that, you will find your role very soon. Really, creating a role is easy, but sticking to it is goddamn hard. I dont think you need to create a different character other than Change, but to ask yourself if you can stick to it. (btw, I am so lame I still treat MD as an rp chatroom)
21. Thank you for breaking the ice :D Nice avi, btw. I wish I had the skills - I can imagine a werewolf wearing a dress and planting seeds while riding a winged horse...(yeah, shrooms)

Lol where credit is due. You are organising in a very professional way a meeting of drunkards :))
23. Thanks. Lets see if you will have to hand out those rewards :)
24. I wanted to do this myself (for myself), but I totally lack the skills and maybe you can help me with this. I wanted to mix avatars and get a very cool one. Intricate or mysterious or funny or...well, I failed. :( Who can help? What you have to do is take parts from some avatars, mix them together (in a rational manner) and get a brand new one ( it must make sense- well, at least some sense). The more intricate, the better. You can use more parts from one avatar. How to participate is easy - submit your entries here, writing what avatars you have used. You can post more than one remastered avatar, though only one will be rewarded (if so). No alts allowed. The deadline is 2-3 weeks from now (making something like this is hard work), maybe more. Judging - The panel of judges is assembled and consists of Syrian, Prince Marvolo and me. As for rewards, I have to tell you I dont not live up to my name (yet), so 1st place gets 6sc, 2nd place 5sc and 3rd place 4sc. The execution matters, but the idea matters a little more in my eyes, so be creative! (I forgot to add that you can see avatars at the signpost in MDP, so getting material should be easy ^_^ )
