1. Kragel, I believe you misunderstand me. I'm not emotionally attached to this subject at all. Really, I'm sticking my nose where it likely doesn't belong, but then that's largely what this whole subject is about anyway, isn't it? My point is, and has been, that the business of the Loreroot Alliances (a treaty organization, like NATO, if you will) should be the business of the Loreroot Alliances. Also, while I agree with Akasha that it would be a positive thing to see more transparency and more information posted on the forum, I don't think the issue should have been forced in this manner. Thank you Lucius for clearing up much of the misunderstanding of the organization of the Loreroot Alliances. As a solution to this, I propose that the Loreroot public forums be reinstated fully if they have not been already, that Loreroot post information about its elections here if they are willing, and that this topic be closed before it breaks out into a flame war.
 2.
I am very sorry, but look at the important infos that they stored here..This is what i try to point: NOTHING! until today..late yesterday night in historical was just a post by Metal Bunny from 2008, The CoE, Savels, Crafter had no ally forum sin here...WHY? because they never though that this is the first place were you come and say you are a part from MagicDuel world. Not somewhwere else. Yes, I would like to see the ideea of the HC. The informations need to be public WHY? so that there won't be any disscussion inside that supposed to exist High Council ..(should i give the example?) Also...what should a HC do? where do i find this? Should i point at some loreroot ppl that ask what and were? These informations and the allys are Magicduel allys, not exeptions, not private things. Loreroot again is not a private group or groups of ppl. Loreroot and the informations about loreroot and it's alliances (not the things that need to stay secret OF COURSE) ARE PUBLIC NOT PERSONAL OR PRIVATE OR EXCLUSIVES. That's why. U can;t come to me and ask me (me= one md player) to accept something that is in no records and not explaned. i hear things have changed. I ask from what? Where can i see how it was and how it is? There is no history you erased that history in order to make what? On this forum, again was nothing intresting ..was closed for 1 day...that's how much time took to the loreroot to find out about this forum..and you know the big issue: 'Was deleted..if yes OMG how can we find who joined Black Thorn quest????'
Now, there's a good point! At least from an administrative standpoint, the fact that the public forum was not being used is a very poor reflection on Loreroot and I think your actions proved a point in that regard. However, if you choose not to believe that there is a High Council in Loreroot, it doesn't change the fact that it exists and was voted for. I can choose to believe that Canada doesn't exist... that doesn't make it true. If someone posted on this forum that Canada existed, that wouldn't make it true either. You're absolutely right that they SHOULD post their public information in the forum. You're absolutely wrong in condemning them for not doing it.
 3.
Khalazdad is the leader of Necro and it was passed to his daughter in his leave where im sure when he can return it could well be handed back over to him .... no mysteries there at all ... and there was even an announcement when the leadership changed and why... Yrth is the ruler of GG everyone knows this also no mysteries
My point in both of those instances is that there was no public vote on any of that. Khal was appointed (and rightly so) and handpicked his "family." He became leader of Necrovion due to roleplay and it's documented in the AL. I kind of knew Yrth was leader of GG, but the case could also be made that Grido or MRD could have some claim to that title. There could be multiple leaders in GG if MRD decided he didn't want to listen to Yrth... The MRs would support MRD without question. Each land has its own processes. I don't see why Loreroot's are being put under such scrutiny except that it's the one of those 3 regions that is easily accessible by the majority of the players. If it were as closed off as GG, there wouldn't be this level of debate.
 4.
The forum was not deleted. I did not act like a GG ally. I act like a MD player. I would like to know things that need to be public. Kragel IS from Loreroot. LOREROOT IS NOT THE GUARDIANS OF THE ROOT ALLy. Loreroot is a LAND with ppl inside. the probelem comes when the ppl inside start to ask questions. I woul dlike to know the story of the HC, the recent story of Loreroot why can't i know these things? Because i am not in gotr ally or CoE? that's why? Why does Loreroot act ..or some ppl from it act like it is a private land when it is not. Necro did not had elections. There is a dynast. Khal asked Peace to continue the dynasty. that is in the News log so everyone can see it and check and confirm it. The elections, the HC members..sorry i can't go and check if something is true or false since i have no records. Alll the records have are few topics here. Acording to this OFICIAL FORUM, High Council never existed , ELECTIONS never took place...some alliances never existed in Loreroot but maybe in another unoficial forum were a small group of ppl pretend they do the laws and start to order here and there things that should not be like that.
What you're pointing out is poor management, not conspiracy. Those records should have been updated, and your actions have brought that to the attention of many. Perhaps the public has a right to know WHO the leadership of Loreroot is, though that point is debatable, but HOW they were elected, appointed or siezed power is not a matter of public import. Loreroot is not a private land, but its alliances are private, or at least somewhat exclusive. The leadership of the alliances is the purview of the alliances. Others that call Loreroot their home but are not part of the alliances are not beholden to their leadership. I could call myself a citizen of Necrovion and not be in any way responsible to Peace. The flipside of that is that she's not obliged to protect me and could do all she could to eject me. You can choose whether or not to recognize a government, but you'll encounter consequences if you don't. Now, just because they didn't write about their elections in the forum doesn't mean those events didn't happen... all it means is that they weren't properly recorded. I agree that they should be, but, ultimately, the decision to post that belongs to the alliances. Messing around with their forum, where they store important information, is a petty thing to do just because you don't like what they've done. Having the power to do what you did, Akasha, doesn't mean you should go around abusing it.
 5. Kragel / Burns, why does it matter to anyone outside of the Loreroot alliances who the leaders of the alliances are? No one cares how the leadership of Necrovion was chosen. No one really even knows who really leads in GG. It's not the concern of anyone outside. It was poor form for the GG alliances to attack Loreroot for who they'd chosen as leader, but within their rights to do so. It's also the right of anyone to ask to know how the leadership was chosen, but it's also the right of the loreroot alliances to tell them where they can stick their questions. I'm also unclear what is served by deleting the Loreroot public forums. They haven't updated their documents and they talk on a secret forum, so they need to be deleted? I don't see that as a reasonable response. People in this game interact in many forms... many of them OUTSIDE the game. It's not a hindrance to the game, it's really a valuable thing that people take the game seriously enough for it to follow them around when they're away from it. They take things seriously enough that they create outside supplements to what's been created for them. If someone could enlighten me on the reasons behind the use of these Gestapo tactics in response to Loreroot, I'd appreciate it.
 6. Frankly I'm disappointed and somewhat embarrassed. My initial reaction was to defend Fenrir until further evidence was compiled. It seems that's been done to a level I never would have thought possible. I wish I had been more shrewd in my evaluation of his abilities. I thought that given his artistic knowledge (which he does, indeed, have) that he was merely experimenting with different artistic styles... I suppose I was naive. Fenrir, I realize that you may have had good intentions, but you actions could very well have damaged the game in a very real sense had not the community acted to protect itself. We are all busy and that's no excuse to steal the work of others. I often struggle to find the time to work on this game, but I produce everything on my own. It's okay, and often healthy, to borrow ideas and elements from the work of others, but to take their work and pass it off as your own is dishonest. As much as I'd like to see some of your own work and have the opportunity to work with you, this incident makes it impossible for me to trust that what I might receive from you in the future is your own work. I believe Manu's punishment is just and perhaps even lenient. I hope you learn something from this.
 7. *looks up from his drawings* The artisans will remain neutral, but our membership is free to join the conflict on either side as they see fit. I for one wish only to not be disturbed. However, if anyone from either side interrupts my work with your pointless conflict, I will have you skin for parchment. *shakes his head, muttering under his breath "children," and returns to his work.*
 8.
well blacky is still drawing isnt he? and it would be better to ask calyx for putting up announcement on this matter, coz i saw a few players which could be interested in drawing for game, cant remember names thought
BlackThorn is still drawing for now, but it appears that he will be taking a step back. I won't speak for him beyond that. Regardless, we are in desperate need of artists who are competent. I will not allow anyone to do work on the game unless they are, in my mind, equal to me or better. I do have a job for some who show promise but still need practice, so I'm not excluding people who are less skilled but willing to work at their art. I have no place for anyone who does not have skill and does not have the desire to work hard and improve. We may consider having an announcement placed in the game, however we will wait for a time before doing so. Consider this "targeted" advertising. I'd prefer to see work samples from people that are interested in the game art and can see what has and has not been accepted in the past.
 9. The only one I don't like is the big sword dude. The form is great, but the shading is too light. You've got very good contrast on the self-portrait / pencil one and on the baron. "Cid" could probably be corrected with some photoshop balancing, but the claymore guy needs more shading to make it work. That said, those are all good avatars and would probably be able to find their way into the game. Oh, and another note... When it comes to custom avatars, remember, you can have them made for you, and we can draw them, but there is NO guarantee that you'll get "your" drawing, and you're going to have to live with that for now.
 10.
Whatever happened to this? It has been a good month and a half and no word... as the project abandoned? Was it slowed down? Some news would be good... Awi
Ummm... frankly, I had a hard time with the foreground and got busy, so I sort of, kind of, stopped working on it for awhile. I need to get back on it, but I'm tired and I haven't been doing my best work lately. For this I want it to be the best I can possibly produce. I'm not as particular about avatars, some need to be great, but there just need to be a lot of those. There will be only one Dojo scene and I want it to be perfect. Unfortunately my perfectionism sometimes paralyzes me and with lots of other stuff to do, well... I suppose that explains it. Sorry.
 11. I may regret it (or you lot might) but you know that whole cartoon / illustration thing? I can probably help out with that...
 12. Nice work Agnus. The contrast is very low on them though... how are you digitizing them? Are you scanning or photgraphing? As Awi said, there should be more dynamic shading on them. No question your forms are great. I really like your style. I think we may need to speak on the prospect of your working for the Artisans Guild. You may consider using a variety of lead hardnesses if you want to improve your shading. I use a combination of hardnesses and variations in pressure to get my shading to feel right, but it looks as though you draw with a fairly consistent pressure, so varying your leads would likely be the most effective shading method for you. Again, nice work.
 13. Standard Policy is this. You may ask any of us to do anything you want. We may do or not do anythine WE want. Now, if you find one of us to be amenable to your plight, we can withold any drawing until such time as you're ready to buy it, however it would be best if you waited until you were at least close to being able to purchase it. As a rule, artists aren't the best organized people (the whole left brain / right brain thing) and remembering who asked for what and making sure to hold on to certain drawings for different amounts of time is a pain. Also, because of the system in place, custom avatars are pretty much out. It takes a lot of work for Mur to place avatars in peoples' profiles, so while most of us would be happy to draw whatever you ask, especially since inspiration is sometimes difficult to come by; please realize that we can't do any more about ensuring that you get "your" avatar than you can. Many of us are willing to draw two or three variations on a theme to help you get one that matches what you're looking for, but you'll need to be ready to act when the avatars are released. Oh, and one other thing. We are not responsible for the coloring of the avatars, so please don't ask us about that.
 14.
Hmmm.....Skiing? That'd be a heck of a sport.....Bunny skiing. I'm sure a lot of people would pay to see that. tis a shame you'll be away. But have fun dude. Enjoy your skiing. Oh and.......Hoppy 'traditions' bunny ^^ Garg.
What? You've never heard of a Snow Bunny?
 15.
Hello Guyz, sorry for not flooding this page lately again lol. Well I had exams N-E-wayz, I had enoough time on my hand to daydream an make this sketch. I reproduced it and shaded it, But because of poor scanning, it has lost all of it's depth. well just enjoy. I simply call it Pain . Oh, Hello Amoran, If you see this, know that I still want to see some more of your pics
Agnus, I like your work. I can see where you've done some DaVinci study. Your drawings of human figures in pencil look like some of the things out of the various Codices that have been found and have travelled around the country. Anyway, I'd be interested in seeing some more of your work. Particularly I'd like to see some examples in game style. I guess that means I want to see pencil drawings with pencil shading, not just colored drawings changed to grayscale. Some might work if you were to do that, but the game's style is more graphite pencil than colored pencil. Graphite shading is different from colored pencil and it shows differently even if they're both grayscale. Please either post a few examples here or send them to glordamar@gmail.com Also, the drawings should fit a proportion of 2 wide by 3 tall. Thanks for sharing your drawings with us. I'd also like to welcome Syerthrix to the Artisan's guild. He's got a lot of drive and motivation and I look forward to seeing what he produces.
 16.
I should apologize for using art committed to MD for my homework project without permission. I'm sure they're copyrighted somewhere, but please don't sue me. You can see my brilliant work in return. You see, I was supposed to write about a character as one of Chaucer's pilgrims in The Canterbury Tales. I discarded Glor's title of "Queen" and made her "Noblewoman". Hurrah. For you rpers, a fun role to play she would be, I say. Internal rhyme. I'm behind on some fanart.
Aside from some vague, implicit copyright, I don't think you have anything to worry about legally. Frankly, I'm flattered, so you don't have to worry about me trying to sue you. Nice work
 17. Thanks everyone. I appreciate it. Oh, and MB... at least it's not 30.
 18. I just wanted to pop in and say congratulations to Amoran Kalamanira Kol. She's the newest artisan and a fantastic artist. Here are a few of her drawings for your viewing pleasure
 19. I'm willing to try it out Manu. I don't mind if I have to reset somewhat.
 20.
lol..the fact that you say its all lies tells me you havnt read my papers well:) The title points out that its...ok its about my avatar but about its LIFE before, and my research on it. What others think is not as important as what I think:) Cause Rikesh is NOT having a digestive problem, even if he does poo from time to time. Atm, hes healthy and good.
...and pooping.
 21.
hmm i like cryxus idea, but how about a jungle area, with lots of secrets to discover. oh and glor i would like to help you but i cant draw very well, i am good in drawing models like a house or a bridge but not in things like trees, animanls, ground etc., i have learned to draw some architectal structures, but thats all. but if you need ideas or something then i would liek to help you.
Care to post some of your architectural work?
 22.
I think it's a partial one....
Well, where's the rest of it? Slacker...
 23.
Hmmm...this is what almost a hole week without internet can do to me:
Does this count as your personal hate list DST? Or is this just partial?
 24.
I WANT TO HELP!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE????????
Thank you all for your offers of help. I will likely take you up on it if and when such a thing becomes possible. Decisions of this type will require the approval of Mur. In the meantime, however, we may amuse ourselves by figuring out what such a thing should be. I propose a port, somewhere south of No Man's Land. From there, a certain ship and her captain would be able to transport worthy people to a small island in the south seas. What should this island consist of? Keep in mind it should be small, perhaps only 5 or 6 scenes in toto.
