there surely will be ways, but i'd still like it =D and...jumping to someone will only cause people to get trapped, so i don't really see the big troubles... just little ones :lol: but i see what you mean, lib^^ but i'd suggest that leaders can pick a second/co-leader from their ally, which should get the powers of the leader (excluding kicking the leader, while the leader should still be able to either demote or kick the co-leader) that's what i'd like to see... some leaders are really totally inactive, and a second in command with powers like the leader and the 'jump to'button would be helpful sometimes... just my 2 cents

actually, that sounds like a really interesting role in itself: The Apprentice^^ In a few months, you could be the player with the most spells in here, learning the stuff from all those who can cast spells :-) But I'm afraid you won't find that many people who are giving their knowledge away freely... those who really know something about magic will hardly give it away, and most mp6 don't know more about magic than you do yourself^^

i'm sorry if i didn't make myself clear, Kragel, i don't think that gold and blacksmiths, beggars, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, thieves, scientists, gardeners and all the other stuff are less important than those which i'd call 'good' roles, but they are soooo common... you can get those in every single RPG on the planet, while some roles, like the explorer of Golemus, the sun and moon researchers, the leader of the shades and such things are deeply linked with the Game world and unique... that's the only thing that makes them [not better!!, but] more interesting and more involved in the game, while most other roles are just a means to achieve the end of having spells... now, i don't say that those roles are worse than others, but when i compare renavoid, who is dedicated to the game and his role at all times without the slightest chance of getting spells for being the archivist, to any of the vampires and werewolves out there who write in their papers that they are vampires and then go bug people for a spell to weaken their enemies because they are soo strong vamps, or the blacksmiths who want to have the power to create items and give or take away items from people, i just feel the urge to have a distiction between those types of roles... btw: i also think that raven has a rather weak role, so all you vamps out there are in great company with your roles :lol:

As much as i like and appreciate the ideas you offer, i often find a flaw in your plans... a crown would be nice indeed, but the sword would go to mp6 within minutes and therefore be pointless for all other players again (someone in an ally gets it, KB or MB or dst see it and grab it (you know they can, no matter what your def is) and all of a sudden, the sword is lost for all other players forever) and as much as MD is different, there are not too many roles left... people can't become leader of necrovion or a discoverer of golemus anymore, those roles are gone, they can't be 'the great warrior', they can't be the greatest ritual specialist, even the weapon specialist and master assassin are already gone, there's just too little space for what i like to call 'good' roles... nowadays, people have to become pub owners, jesters, blacksmiths, gardeners, jewelry-makers and stuff because most roles are already settled... implementing a new alliance or guild is rather hard these days, too, as you can see on the example of the CotE... so all that's left for people is to try and become someone who can 'create' items others can use in the hope to get recognized within the realms and get a real role, becasue that's what roleplaying is all about for the most here, to get an RPC with spells and powers and stuff, and then show off with them the times when people were recognized just for being there and got their roles because their papers were good have long since passed, today, everything is full of people in here, and you have to do something special to be recognized by the crowds, and that's easiest with items: 'uhh, were did you get that ring from?' 'it was a gift from *the blacksmith*' 'ooohhh, i'll have to meet him too...' i can remember something similar with drachorn eggs, and that still works rather good, doesn't it? xD

There is a reason why necro and golemus are locked up... even though the pics there are great, it's a shame that most people don't get to see them =( It's a bit unfair that we can't heal up for free, that's true, but if you want a free heal at willow's, you'll have to join SoE ;-) But if you are a sentinel because you think that your role should be amongst them and nobody else, or becasue your friends are there or whatever reason you want to give, you'll have to put up with the fact that you won't heal for free... as i always tell people, alliances have drawbacks as well^^ and what do you want in necrovion anyway? enjoy the silence? xD people don't get into necrovion because Mur doesn't want them to go there, as long as Khalazdad has the key to the gates, that will do, same goes for golemus (even though golemus members have a slight advance when it comes to getting in (jump to leader-button), we can't get out by ourselves and are trapped in there just like the mp2 until yrthilian or grido take us out again...) and i don't think that you should get permanent access to a land by being in an alliance or by knowing the right people, that would open the gates to all kinds of abuse... i mainly think about loreroot and the lore critters there, becasue neither golemus nor necrovion have creatures implemented atm...

ty^^ actually, that name is quite common in a lot of languages that are influenced by old german because people liked its meaning : bern = bear and hart = heart, and as the old germans linked all features of a being with its heart, bear's heart stood for courage, strength and ferocity =)

might be a stupid question, but why did you leave out the second 'i' in your names ingmae and on the forum? i wondered about that since i heard about lucius tarquinius in latin lessons^^ my name is just my english form of my real name, which is unfortunately not written correctly in most non-german based games... people use to call me Börni as abbreviation for my name [Bernhard], and Burns is the only form i cold find in english that sounds almost the same^^ there are no connections to Monty Burns from the Simpsons, but i usually pick up the joke because i'm a simpsons fan =)

It's not only about comprehending, but even grasping things that are more complex than the things we know... We know a lot about the forces that work on earth and can explain them quite good because it's what we call physics, which is the sum of all things we can understand. All the rest, the meta-physics, is just such things we can't fully grasp, but just their physical appearances. I don't belive in ghosts, but i belive that there is a species on earth which is greater than ourselves, which doesn't want to have any contact with us, just like we don't want to have any contact with ants. That species might be very small, or very big, or invisible to our eyes, as there is a whole lot of waves we can't see with, and communicate in a range that we can't hear, and therefore we have no idea about them, and what they do, and whenever we realize something strange happening, that's just something 'they' did, like an ant would realize it if you step into their hill, but wouldn't understand how or why it happened. Feel free to laugh about me, but that's what i think, and we are the dominating species only among those creatures on earth we already found and understood, and those species above us just don't like our meat, or they keep us as pets because we can build cities and then destroy them again, and they think it's funny to watch us doing so... and maybe they sometimes cause a little earthquake when they feel that there was no war for too long, and they want something to watch (rebuilding LA, or fighting the fires in australia, or even bombing gaza, whatever satisfies them...)

you know, there's peepz like me out there who take a look at the quests and then vote without trying to actually do the quest to the end... some of the quests out there are definitely boring, but some are really really good quests (idea, instruction, rate of interaction, rate of knowledge needed...), and personally, i'd love to have at least four balloons to vote, it just doesn't feel right to give shadow's great quest the same rating as kittness (don't get me wrong, that quest is entertaining and funny, but it's nowhere near as interesting as shadow's XXL 'run around and get infos'-quest) :/

hmm... why explain it with gravity? i never heard of a gravity principle, and we walks this lands as 'ghosts' or 'souls' or something, as far as i remember the story, so we shouldn't have any feeling for gravity... on the other hand, the lands around us show signs of at least some gravity (books lying around, this hanging down from the ceiling...), but would ANY gravity be enough to push our world of unknown material and stability to a sphere? I guess not... but i'm not that great in physics, so i might be wrong xD

i chose probably flat, as we can't really say it for sure until we know all of it... but i'd personally like a flat image of our world better, and i think i've once heard that you can see it as a flat world when you are in a dream... not sure, though^^

any mission that moves people so much is to be supported, ain't it?^^ and we can start opposing whatever he does when the time comes to face whatever he's doing... if there a new shade war, i'd personally welcome it with open arms, i love everything that happens and changes boring everyday-life in MD =) still, i'd choose to be on the 'brightling-side', as they were called back then, so i guess i would be among the opposing group... still, i support whatever's going on right now... seems paradox, now that i read through it i still support everything he might be doing, even if that means that there will be a new wave of things to oppose rolling on... i even support it when i get things to rant against xD
