Today i come to you with a simple question. If you had to use any combination of the known principles to create a revival process, how and where would you do it?

All participants will be given some sort of reward for their participation, but age as well as reasoning and level of work put in will all be factored in when assigning rewards.

For any and all new/young participants who lack one we will be rewarding an Angien for your hard work and dedication.

If you already have an Angien or do not want one, you can pick between an Unholy Pope, a Tormented Soul, or Silver.
 
Thats all without sponsorship of any kind. If sponsors do appear we will update the rewards accordingly. This quest has no end date of any kind, so ponder at will.

When you are ready to submit your answer however, please find either Pipstickz or Mallos and pick a location to conduct your ceremony at, then RP it there.

Howdy MD! As it's the anniversary, a time of celebration and commemoration, I'd like for us to take a moment to reflect on things that may have been forgotten by some folks. The premise is simple: I want you to do some research on Land Weapons and send in your findings. For transparency's sake, I plan to make all entries public after judging is complete, but if requested I'm willing to redact parts. So without further ado, here are your research prompts, use as many or few as you like, but I do expect some details from each prompt to be in your submission, even if you don't directly address the question. However, the final two are mandatory.
 
What is a Land Weapon?
How many are there?
Where are they?
What do they do?
How are they activated?
How are they powered?
How are they controlled?
What would happen to it if a Land were to lose its Weapon, or access thereto?
For each Land that contains a Land Weapon, imagine you are a citizen with full control over the Weapon and explain how you'd use your Homeland's Weapon to help your fellow citizens.
For each Land that contains a Land Weapon, imagine you are an infiltrator who has seized control of the Weapon and explain how you'd use it to disrupt your enemies.
 
Some might say this is a cheap data-mining attempt, so to offset said cheapness I'll be personally sponsoring a Tainted Angien, to be rewarded if:
1. There are at least 10 entries, each with at least one interesting idea in them. Doesn't have to be original, but it must to be interesting.
2. The judge(s) determine that one entry stands above the rest as particularly insightful, well-researched or creative.
So now it's an expensive data-mining attempt! Take that imaginary critics!
 
I'll also be sponsoring a pack of Molima-related resources, which includes 5 glue, a skull and some garbage, maybe a couple others (I need to check what he costs again to be sure, will do so once I return to the mainland), as well as one History of the Elucubration Creature item (I promised this item to Zleip as a sponsorship for one of his quests in the past, but that was years ago, so I'm invoking the statute of limitations. Sorry Z!). These rewards will go to either first and second or second and third, or may be distributed differently, pursuant to possible further sponsorships.
NOTE: It seems the History of the Elu items aren't working...I hope they're fixable! I'll make a bug report.

Anybody willing to help judge would be greatly appreciated. The only prerequisite being that you have what you consider a good baseline knowledge about Land Weapons. I'd like to specifically request Chew or Mur to help judge this (and especially to help redact the published answers!) if either of you have the time/energy, but if not we shall make due! If nobody wants to be a judge, I'll instead write up some criteria and have each participant mark other entries, and average that score with my judgement on the same criteria.

Thy quest, this anniversary, were one of simplicity - and I affirm that simplicity and elegance were key.

Give form to the above winged-being, with guidance proceeding:

Of its lore, one paragraph. This should be consistent with the above story, although thou'rt encouraged to elaborate further, with artistic licence. Points shall be awarded for well-written lore, consistent with the aforementioned tale and of its character in combat.

Of its character in combat, one sentence. The statistic, nor the vitality of such a creature were of little consequence - this sentence should merely explain of a single unique ability. Points shall be awarded for elegance and simplicity, as well as how it may usher a change in the present strength of rituals.

Of how it doth change combat, within the realm - one paragraph. I do note quite the preponderance of rituals that do use the Freeze-Aura, and I encourage those that enter to think of how one may counter a multitude of Freeze-Auras, that may restore balance to combat thereof. I do note that presently, the Anti-Freeze-Aura were in fact nullified by the Freeze Aura, if one doth freeze the holder of that aura, and thus it were presently an inadequate counter-ritual.
Points shall be given for the following:
- How it may counter rituals with multiple Freeze-Auras (especially if one canst counter it without making those rituals stronger, if one doth add this new creature to it)
A small bonus shall be awarded if there are interesting interactions with currently existing abilities of the realm.

I should like to offer a Lorerootian Root Warrior to the best entry, although I would that those who do give rewards of the Anniversary of the realm should appropriate a prize in its stead.

Entries to this competition shall be open to the end of the Anniversary. One may enter multiple times, of which the best scoring entry shall be used.

Upon return to the realm some months ago, I had seen that few remain of the realm that were of the Children, and that which had been earned by mine brethren of the Eclipse, were no more.
As one of the inceptive Priestesses of the Children of the Eclipse, I have read of the overwhelming support that had been placed upon the revival of the alliance, by those of the realm, in its time of need, and mine spirit were raised by reading of the words of those that had come after.
I seek to return the Children to their presence, and their role within Loreroot and the realm. I call upon those who knew the Children, or that do share its ethos, for the return of Night to the realm, to balance that of Day, and thus to restore the interaction of Light and Darkness.
I am only a single soul, that doth possess the memory of inception, and of rituals that do draw upon Luna and her magic. Yet, I believe in the vision of Penelope Lightmoon, and of Tarquinus, whom I sorely miss.

Look to the skies upon the last day of the month. Luna doth show her luminescence in all her glory then - that she may be called Super; she draws ever closer, and Terra shall align with her, that she may show her inner Blood Moon, upon the rarity that were a Blue Moon of the first month. It were a rare auspicion, and one that aught should be glad to witness.

She shall speak to the Children anew, and I shall hope that she doth bring new life to the Children. In preparation, I presently continue the role that the Priestess of Moon's Light had once been given - to bestow Luna's heat upon others within the realm, and to draw upon her own.

I would like to begin by issuing a public apology to the entire MagicDuel Community as a whole.
As you read on, i will attempt to explain why this is, and how this has come to be.

In my youth, i was but a loving and reckless fool. I did not care for anything save adventure and having fun. Nothing else mattered in comparison, and everything else paled when i did not have these two items in my life, here or anywhere. Over time, i was reckless in my actions, and my own decisions brought me much happiness, as well as much pain. I made good loyal friends, strong worthy enemies, and it made me into the very man i am today.

But recently... i adopted a new strategy. That of the Blood Fang Road. A dangerous and bloodstained path that did not just seek to step on its enemies, but one that actively sought chances to do so, and one that relished whenever it found them, relished in the pain and suffering of its enemies. Well, the Blood Fang is no more. That version of me helped me achieve some goals, sure, but it did so in the worst of ways. I hurt some of the very few people i truly cared about, some of the very few people who truly cared for me, for Destruction did breed Creation, but it also had may unintended and sadly foreseeable results. 

The Blood Fang Road died at about 2pm Pacific Time today, about 7 hours before this post was made, and only 6 hours before i ascended to Mind Power 6. But it was not because i reached my goal of MP6 that i have adopted this new mentality, and finally come to terms with the ass i had become, someone willing to do literally anything to acheive my Dreams and Crush my enemies into complete and utter nothingness. No, the Blood Fang died, because i was at Deaths Door. My own Body, in the Search for True Wisdom and Health... was ironically enough beginning to fail me. It had been this way for about 2 weeks now, and quite recently, only got worse and worse as the Hatred inside me did as well, not related at all, but oddly matching each other in growth and intensity.

My only regret, would have been not having the time to watch this New Age we are all working towards. My only regret, would have been not getting to see my little sister grow up. My only regret, would have been having finally found True Success and Happiness in both this life and "the real world", and not somehow being around to enjoy what i worked so hard to obtain. Today, two great gifts were given to me. Firstly, a very wise man opened my eyes up to the Demon i had become... in order to kill a Demon. I had become the very thing i hated because it hated me, and that Hatred fed on itself until it very well consumed my entire being. I thought i had found Balance, but truth be told the Blood blinded me. I can see this now.

Secondly, i have been somehow and quite miraculously been given not one, but 3 new chances at life... this week alone. I can no longer ignore what is so plainly in front of me. When Death came to call me, my real Allies told me to Fight. When i was ready to give up, they had not yet given up on me. When my body begged me to quit, i remembered this and fought harder... i owe my allies my very Existance. When Death came to call me, i realized what was important... how many i have wrong and hurt in my endeavors, how much i have to amend for. Ive been given a Second Chance, now much more than Once, and a New Perspective to match it. I will forever see Life and Death, Friend and Foe, Black and White in a New Light, i think my 8th time nearly dying is long enough for me to take to Wake Up.

So i am issuing this public apology to all of MagicDuel... and i want to say this, i truly am sorry. Ill use the Time i thought was being taken from me Slowly that i have now been given back, to make Amends for all the Past Wrongs ive committed. To you Azull, i am sorry. I spoke to you in such a way that i deserve fro you to never love me again, and in fact, if you could not, i would not hold that against you. To you, Syrian, im sorry for the thoughts i had, plots underway, evil yet to come, and am simply glad it did not come to that, but i digress, i still ask for your forgiveness as well. To Eon, DST, Ivorak, the entirety of the Seal of Six and the Shattered Illusions, i also ask for your forgiveness even if it can not be given. I hope we can work together in the future, All of Us, for we are the Old Age that must meld with the New.

To Chewett... dear Chewett... to you, whom i have hurt more than any other, and one who has been there for me more than anyone else... one i was so Blind to, so Deaf to for so long... and one that never gave up on me, even if i gave up on myself, and the world begged you to abandon me yet you never did... Chewett, i honestly lack the words id need to do justice to how i now feel towards you. All i can say is thus... i will dedicate my life from hereon out, MP6/7 or not, King or not, Everything or Nothing at all, to helping MagicDuel, all of MagicDuel, and never letting this wonderful world weve all sweat bled and cried for die. This is where i Grew Up. This world let me learn and live things i could never have in "the real world". What i have to amend to you alone... would take, and will take, the rest of my life. But that is something i am more than happy to do. Something that will be done. For only my Actions form this point on can prove how i feel, and why i now feel this way, thus i will dedicate all the time i do have left, to no longer Say, and only Do. Im so Sorry and Thank you... for everything, absolutely everything youve ever done or did not do for me... i now fully understand.

From now on and until the end of the year (31. January) make sure you behave well! What do you need to do? Simple: do something nice to somebody you know or you don’t know in MD. It can be anything – a present or a journey or a nice surprise, conversation, help in distress...pretty much anything that is not your direct duty, anything that makes other person happy. Be original, be creative, be attentive, check on people's needs, find out what they really wish for and how can you help them. After it happened report it yourself or let the person you showed your kindness to report it to me via forum pm.

In your letter describe what you did (or what somebody did for you), why you (or they) did it and what were the consequences of this act. The ghost of Murmas will judge your acts of kindness on the matter of sincerity, originality and selflessness. The most outstanding act of kindness will be rewarded with a WP, second and third place will be covered with gold and silver straight from the treasury! After the event is over, acts of kindness will be posted in this thread. Anonymity can be negotiated, but I believe not necessary.

I seek an offering that may bring mirth and cheer to others this Murmas, which were that which above all must affect the final judgment.
As to the length of thine submission, there remaineth no limit; yet, one must remain entertaining throughout.
 
Of judgment thereof, such were that of each of the following, a score of up to ten points should be given:
1. For magic-speak, or archaic tongue, or other mystical construct
2. For rhyme and prosody
3. For mirth, and wit - and for this, a double scoring.

For anyone thinking about this the main thing is that we have many many differnt forms of docs and they are a nightmare to find information about. Ideally we need a better way although this might just be a set of easily searchable docs.
Once we have a set of docs we then want to work on improving them, adding more content, and having them cross link each other.
But the key thing here is for people to see if we can find at least a good starting point. Once we have that we can start the longer process of moving all the docs to the new system, whatever it is.

Having help documents in one place sounds like a great idea. As you mentioned before, it's important that they are searchable and cross-referenced. Each individual help document should have its own URL for easy sharing. It would also be helpful if documents could be tagged by category.
It would be nice if each document had a feedback section. Basically, "Is this page helpful?" and a comment box. I wouldn't display comments on the page though, just store them somewhere that could be referenced when routinely updating help documents.
Not sure about this part, but maybe the documents could be a directory of Markdown files stored on GitHub? That would be an easy way to compare, discuss, and approve changes, without spending time building a custom editing interface. You'd just need a way to fetch the latest version on a regular basis and render as HTML.

To clarify some things, it seems we have had a miscommunication somewhere Chewett.
I claimed to have Gridos Blessing for the GG Lab position as its Guardian, and that role alone.
I dont know how, or where, anyone thought i had his blessing for King, as i never claimed that, only my intent to GAIN his blessing for King.
If that was misconstrued i am sincerely sorry, but my words were clear on Forums, so please do double check whatever Source claimed that i did anything of the sort.
I provided PMd SSd proof of my only claim to you Chewett, that he had given me his acceptance on the GG Lab Guardian role.
I have below SSd my previous post, and the timestamp on the last edit against the time and date that it is now (bottom right of screen) prove i have not meddled with it.
So if any of this is unclear to anyone, ill say it once more. I have Gridos Blessing for the GG Lab Guardian Role and nothing more. I aim to EARN his Blessing for King in Time.

I aim to become Golemus Golemicarums Future King. In fact, i already am in my heart.
The only approval and blessing i seek, is that of my current King Grido. But i digress.

In the very near future, my Children will be allowed onto the Mainland. At this time, they will pick Homes.
I would kindly suggest you all spiffy your favorite scenes, and clean those shiny titles you hold, for appearance will be key.
I will not, ask them to join my land of Golemus. I believe every single one of my Children should pick their own Home.
So this means every land has a fair shot, and every land should do its best to make a good impression on the future Young Blood of our World.

I dont seek acceptance from anyone but my King, and my People of Golemus Golemicarum. In my heart, i have been a Golemian and known this for a long time.
All that has changed, is that im now willing to openly admit this to the public eye. Dont take words for what im about to say, realize i speak with no emotion, only to clarify.
I seek not one Outsiders acceptance. I need not one outsiders approval.
Out of sheer respect to Grido for our past, present, and future, i will do all i can to fully earn his Blessing in this endeavor. And i will not move forward with this till i do.
Out of sheer respect to my People, i will also do all i can to earn their approval, and protect them as i would if i were already their King. For as stated above, i am in my Heart.

How about a play, huh? This time, I'd like teams to roleplay an event/series of events from the AL. History can be...distorted a little, if it makes it all funnier. I cannot ennumerate the rewards, but I'll add details later...the problem with this is that as far as teamwork is concerned, it might be hard to get people online at the same time...so maybe you can decide on a day yourselves and act, then record with acousticremains and post it here.
We'll see. For now, if you'd like to bring some history back (or in a new light), make a plan!

I come with a challenge: get 100 volition in 7 days. It shouldn't be too hard, but neither easy. All those who manage to get that score get as reward: 7 silver + 1 mineral water + 1 mirroritual stone. Top score will get 1 extra gold piece. Also, a tombola will be held for 333 water (we'll decide on the method later).
So pick an interval of a week somewhere between now and the 24th (24:00 being the deadline). When you have decided, pm me (or add here) a screenshot where I can see current volition and date/time. When you finish the marathon, pm with a new screenshot.

I think 5 or 6 mp7s on the island would help in training. Each guardian has a different fighting level. So the newbie can try different battle settings ECT. 
However I also think it would be good to let a newbie cap at mp3 on the island , so at mp4 on the mainland they can at least have a new experience and be able to play with their active heat. 

Its an interesting ideea ..but it is not something i can do with the current tools and building new features is stupid right now wheb so many are unused yet.

I think its good..in one of the closed places of the island. ..but i don't want crit recruiting..i want something more personal like crits given by guardians. I am not sure we have enough people for such a thing there..but what do you think?

I am sending them this year too. Handmade! as I found a bit of time and inspiration and created few of them during one rainy Sunday.
One is for Chew and for sure one will be for Nimmy so 2 down.

Mur what do you think about a riddle or puzzle on that item? something like this:
a Player has the choice to do a puzzle/riddle there
if the player doesnt do the puzzle/riddle the timer stays the same the correct answer decreases the time to wait the wrong answer increases it. This way you teach players that their actions matter

There is no need for extra resources on the island. These items are for the clickable boat in gateway island. If a new comer is able to fill it, they can use it to leave, but it is meant to be used through interaction and trading. As you can see there are items it requires them to use that newbies are not usually equipped with. This makes them learn to trade or preform small quests to earn these items from said guardian. These items are supposed to come from the mainland from a merchant of sorts. Though it has not been fully organized the boat is fully functional and works fine. 

If that is your word, then i will work with what i am given Mur.

This will not deter me, if anything, it only fuels my Inner Fire.
