[16/04/15 01:24] Valoryn:In one such village, the locals were awoken one night to the knocking of a fist on their old and battered wooden gate. [16/04/15 01:27] Valoryn:They tried to help him up and carry him to the village to see to his wounds. [16/04/15 01:27] Valoryn:Along the way, they heard him mutter: "They are coming..." [16/04/15 01:28] Valoryn:"Who are they?", asked one of them. "They are coming", he repeated, "to burn you alive... You must... prepare..." [16/04/15 01:29] Valoryn:The villagers let him ramble, thinking it was the fever and actually ignoring his warning, and took him to the healer's hut. [16/04/15 01:30] Valoryn:The healer saw to the man's wounds and made certain that he would recover, since they weren't as serious as they seemed at first. [16/04/15 01:30] Valoryn:But the man kept repeating: "They are coming... for you..." [16/04/15 01:31] Valoryn:But neither the healer paid much attention to the man's words. [16/04/15 01:31] Valoryn:And the days passed in relative peace and the man began to recover. [16/04/15 01:32] Valoryn:Once he was able to walk, he immediately went to the village elder's hut to repeat his warning once more in the hope he would be heard and the village would prepare. [16/04/15 01:33] Valoryn:But the village elder remained unconvinced, believing that the village was well isolated and therefore protected and that there was no need to worry. [16/04/15 01:34] Valoryn:Then the man said, "I don't say all this to jest. The wounds I earned, I earned them from their swords." [16/04/15 01:34] Valoryn:"They will be here in two days. We must prepare." [16/04/15 01:36] Valoryn:"We?", said the elder. "You will go back to your bed and rest. You aren't ready to fight. But you are right, we will prepare." [16/04/15 01:36] Valoryn:And so it happened: with the village elder's guidance, the villagers prepared themselves with whatever provisions, arms and armour they could make in such a short time. [16/04/15 01:37] Valoryn:Had it been another village in a more open land, it would have been doomed. [16/04/15 01:37] Valoryn:But that one had enough physical protection that even a handful of people could endure and attack of hundreds. [16/04/15 01:37] Valoryn:But would only hundreds attack it? [16/04/15 01:38] Valoryn:During those two days, the man kept insisting he was fit for battle. But his plea to join the fight was denied every single time. [16/04/15 01:39] Valoryn:"If the battle is lost, I will die anyway.", he once said, "At least, let me die with my sword in hand as if this village were my own home." [16/04/15 01:39] :phantasm nods in agreement [16/04/15 01:40] Valoryn:The people couldn't argue any more and they let him join the defences. [16/04/15 01:40] Valoryn:And the two days passed. And the drums of war began to sound near the village. [16/04/15 01:41] Valoryn:And the villagers stood ready to defend their homes with whatever meagre means they had at their disposal. [16/04/15 01:41] Valoryn:But the barbarians weren't hundreds. They were thousands. Few thousands, but thousands. [16/04/15 01:42] Valoryn:And the battle began. And arrows began to fly from both sides: the few archers from the village against a few hundreds from the barbarians. [16/04/15 01:43] Valoryn:But the village was well protected and the locals well prepared and the barbarian arrows weren't as effective as one would expect. [16/04/15 01:44] Valoryn:The barbarians were too many though to be kept outside the gates, despite all the advantages the village had. And that stranger they had found wounded also fought at their side. [16/04/15 01:48] Valoryn:That leader, who was considered a hero among his own kindred, because he had won many battles, slaughtered many people and burned many villages, ordered his men to step aside. [16/04/15 01:49] Valoryn:He wanted to challenge the wounded man into an one versus one battle, certain that he would win it. [16/04/15 01:49] Valoryn:And that the village would fall easily without him in the way. [16/04/15 01:50] Valoryn:The man agreed. And everybody step aside to make them room. [16/04/15 01:50] Valoryn:And they fought like lions for what seemed to be hours. [16/04/15 01:52] Valoryn:The man used all his skill against his opponent, managing a few blows on him, but the barbarian was in such a frenzy that the blood flowing from his fresh wounds made him even frenzier. [16/04/15 01:53] Valoryn:And the barbarian hero found his weakness and send his axe to one of the man's existing wounds. [16/04/15 01:53] Valoryn:The man collapsed to the ground and didn't move any more. [16/04/15 01:54] Valoryn:The rest of the villagers were easy to "remove" since they weren't real warriors. each land is 3d, they have length, width, depth but are frozen in time each land is the same land, but at different times. the player are 4th (or maybe 5th) dimensional beings, so we can move between the different lands. this explains why time for us continues ticking but the lands remain frozen in time we are 3d creatures (humans) and can navigate the length and width of our world with ease, but depth (up and down) are more difficult, it takes more energy to move along the 3rd dimension as a 3d creature travelling between lands requires moving along 4th dimension as 4d creature, so it takes more ap we can edit clickies and change things in scenes because they only exist in the one instant that MD is at, so somebody MIGHT see a melody fork for a brief instant, but wouldn't know any better. but if lots of people saw it they would agree they saw it at a specific time, probably for a few seconds like a UFO sighting shape of MD obfuscates further?

Many players say that if they find out somebody is cheating in a quest they will not allow them to partake in future quests but often will offer no incentive to expose cheating if found other than the inherent moral incentive. So let's say that Player A catches Player B cheating, but Player B bribes Player A to keep quiet.
