Rophs

Wiiya is something that is important in MD and in time will become more important. The question is, why is it important?
This quest, which will run for a month or until an undetermined number of submissions have been received,
In this post you should reply with a submission of up to 1000 words which explain what you think Wiiya is both to you and MD. Expanding on its importance and how it fits within MD's lore.
The answers can reference other knowledge, other answers or be exceptionally personal to you. Please post all answers on this thread.
Others are welcome to ask questions of your reply, which you are also allowed to answer. Any answers to questions put to you will not count in the 1000 words but will be judged as an appendix to your post.
Rewards
The winner of this quest, Judged by myself and Mur (if time allows), will be given 1 Wishpoint and 5 gold coins. In addition to spend the time working with me on the new Wiiya related plans.
Other good points, replies and others will receive various rewards at my discretion. In addition those asking good questions of each other will also little somethings. (maybe even Wiiya itself!)

Wiiya is identity in its pure form, like the others already said. I see it as some kind of "mind" aspect (with fenths being "body" and heat something like "blood"). It's as hard to describe as the concept of identity itself.
 
Awiiya demonstrated this idea masterfully when, even after being stripped of his creatures, items, stats -- almost everything that defines us game mechanic-wise -- he remained this insanely strong identity of a character. He ended up becoming "a wiiya". The great thing about him, though, is that he managed to strengthen our own identities as we talked to him. That's some amazing power to me, like he was able to adapt to the person (identity) that was addressing him at the time. That's kind of how I see Wiiya...
 
I think what Wiiya as a concept represents  in MD is bigger than the identity of an individual. It's like it contains every single possible representation of identity in MD's lifespan (even the ones that still weren't conceived). "A wiiya" might take form of any specific identity when needed.
 
 

This dish is called good ramen. The etymology of it is quite fascinating. It is ramen and it tastes good, for this reason I call it good ramen.
 
As ramen does not exist in MD we use the next best thing. While making a cake we instead make nonsweet dough and then push it through the quills that a knator has shed to give it the stringlike form.
When No One isn't looking poke through his pile of unidentified herbs and snag some ginger, garlic, basil, and a few bay leaves. A good way to distract him is to write some really bad code and ask him for help to debug it via pm.
Use about an ounce of ginger per person you plan to serve Use two cloves of garlic per three people you plan to serve, round up (don't skimp on flavor!) After you have made a ginger and garlic herbal tea add basil to suit your taste Add a bay leaf or two When the broth is done add the knator ramen. It's okay to leave them in the quills. The knator quills will dissolve to add more flavor (read: ramen flavor packets :P) and a pleasant texture. Let it boil together and marry into a good taste
 
THE SALMON!
We do actually have fish in MD. Remember cutler's fishing quest?
Take a fillet of salmon (skin on is optional but I think it looks nice and tastes good) and plop it in a pan with some chopped garlic and ginger alongside a bit of Grasan oil. Don't ask about the Grasan oil, you don't want to know. Any oil works...
Just let the salmon sit in a pan on heat while covered until it is cooked all the way through. I like to let the bottom side (without the skin) get a little crispy for about a centimetre from the bottom down. The texture from this is really nice.
 
PLATING IT?
Pour the ramen into the bowl and plop some salmon on top. Arrange the bay leaf as garnish as your discretion allows and trickle the oil and herbs the salmon cooked with on top of the salmon to complete garnishing this dish.

There's a level 2 Magicduel server, you just have to earn the access. That's where all the legendary players (that are supposedly inactive) went.

The torch contest was originally something designed to have lands compete against each other to gain rewards for the land and personally. You would grab a torch from your homeland and slowly make your way to score a point against another homeland. This was made harder by some AP difficulty.
Currently this has some issues, with Guardians of Bob blocking access to some of the lands. So this would be one problem that would need to be resolved before we ran this again.
In addition, we would want it to be a little more interesting, It got dull after a couple times.
One of the issues was it was easier to get to some lands than others, so maybe instead of scoring against different lands, you score more depending on which land you score against?
Ideas are welcome, would people want to see it back?

torch mechanism hold a huge potential, should not be abandoned, so thanks for bringing this up.
I don't think they can be made "fair" however. Maybe they can be balanced with a25 designed tools accessible just in torch (land weapons).
 

Progress is going well, lots more changes have been made and its looking better.
I have another flash object to remove which hopefully will disappear in the next month or so. I just need to test adding it into MD. (Its coded locally but needs full MD implementation).

My evil saurkraut plans failed so I have created a delicious soup. It was made with goat meat, hot peppers, salt, ginger, garlic, collard greens, onion, and water.

Are we limited to only a dish? I was planning on making an entire plate of food, maybe even a multiple course meal.

I am present, even in death. I believe I had made mine intention clear to those who did support myself in this, and prepared for the inevitability that were death. This, too, were not without purpose.
@dst what, or whom, of the Eclipse didst thou find irksome? I should like to know.

Mod: There has been movement in the AL, and this thread is really hostile enough by now. If you could all dial it back one notch, that'd be great, and if you can't, i'll start hiding things.

the cyclical order of the lands with relation to time is
gg -> nc -> mb -> lr -> WESTLANDS  -> gg

there's a direct passage between NC and MDA, i just haven't found it yet
look at the position of the gates in their various stages of development.
the reason we only see one gate in gg and lr is because we don't know what to look for in the west's gates

Added links between adjacent lands, indicated by black lines between adjacent pentagons.

I estimated which face the WesLand would be located on based on its relative position to GG with regards to the other lands. The Yellow lines indicating that the Maze connects to WestLand is purely conjecture in my part. I'm predicting that the Shadow Labyrinth will have an exit leading to the west.

Cause it makes as much sense as the non-sense in the AL. 
Actually I wrote the above just for the pun. I would ALWAYS choose an AL with events like the ones No one described to the usual boring mambo-jumbo that is currently the adventure log.  
AL was fun in the beginning but the moment it fell into the wrong hands, everything took a turn for boredom and for a way players would use to boost (or sooth) their ego. Or to abuse it. The Al. Not the ego ????. 
And in the end, it would have been fine. I care about it as much as I care about the influence of the moonlight on rubber slippers. But the actual gameplay was influenced. That would have been fine also. But then nothing happened! And I mean not a single thing. Moreovet when No one decided he had enough and complained, you all jumped like hens at a pile of buggers (literal translation from the RO “ a sarit ca gaina la muci” - pardon my language ????) accusing him of not understanding the greater plan the illuminated minds of MD have set in place. You tried to act superior and knowledgeable when the actual truth is that you don’t know even what the cat is burrying (another literal translation - yes, sue me ????).
When I saw the reaction then I was left with only one thing to do: troll you good. Which I did. And you didn’t even see it, being blinded by your inflated ego ????. And now I must exit the subway so have fun!

That is simple ;
1. get some strong men ON horses
2. pull the old man into pieces
3. stuff its pieces into altars
4. eat a cake while waiting to see if anyone recognizes the corpse as being Rophs

I think these events should be kept for those that subscribe to them and not to be forced on everybody ... especially when there is nothing beneficial in this AL for the rest of MD.
As I see it, this is becoming a duplicate of PO's mass dream (to be read abuse).

Considering that he desires it ... 30 days for himself and all those bones and all lands loyalty ... that would be a holiday.
 

I'd like to refute your presumptuous claims a bit, I know you think highly of yourself dst but thinking doesn't make things true. Now you're here essentially arguing in favor of continuing the AL as it would be common sense while simultaneously telling people they can't do anything and I assume by upvotes agreeing with subverting the process of (patiently, I might add) returning the altars back to a functional state through the actions of people within the AL, so consistency  out the window now. I'd suggest you either relearn about the MD community or learn to be less critical.
Currently there is a pm group of people that had some very interesting input on the AL of late and while they might not be taking it ingame so much it is at least something. 70% of all statistics are made up, I don't see where the 95% came from, most players seem rather engaged when they say something and we see Nava at least trying to get some activity going among others like Aia who rallied for the Eclipse back. I'm sure some amount of bragging is always going to happen but I don't think it is a rampant issue, a lot of players have achieved good things through real effort and we still see a lot of it today, take the Gateway Island guardians as an example or the Necrovion Death Patrol.

Now maybe we can get back on topic a bit, I'd still like to see more action rather than a complaint. In fact I have an idea that I am mulling over and might post soon.
