Usually something similar to photoshop is needed to help with transparency. If there is shading involved, there is a particular technique that I use with the tools in CS3. The tools aren't much different in the newer versions either, but give me a moment and I'll find my thread and put it in with this post. Also, if your scanner software doesn't have an editing program in it to correct things like this, you may want to consider searching the web for one that's compatible. The editor program can be used to lighten or darken parts of the image. Of course you can do this in photoshop as well, but you get the best results with avatars and items when you use both scanner editing programs, and something like photoshop. I can dig around on the web for a bit to find something that is a bit more user friendly than GIMP, and hope that I find luck for you. Another option is to attach the original scan to a message and send it to me via PM, and I can try to work through the issue you're having.

Really, is there a reason to negative rep someone who is reviving a stagnant quest? I hardly think so, at least we are chosing to actually do something. If you must know, the Children of the Eclipse intend to bring Knator Commander back to reclaim his rightful place in Loreroot. After the opposition that he faced, he deserves an apology, and to live in his rightful home at the Hidden Exit. The alliance being returned will happen, or it will not. The Eclipse is the Eclipse with or without a badge.

I think he did a fine job in actually trying to bring a roleplay aspect to Necrovion, even if there were some.. like yourself, who did not appreciate or understand what he was trying to do. As for fairy tales, the aspect of a family does not dissolve simply because someone says that it does. The Dynasty may have lost it's power as a dynasty, as a ruling faction of Necrovion, but it still exists so long as there are people who would wear it's name. Do I need to copy + paste 8 pages describing what a family system is? I certainly hope that I don't.

Amoran Kalamanira Kol has always been a part of the Khalazdad House. Ask any member of it and you they will not deny it. There is also the fact that Amoran is Sibyl of the Children of the Eclipse, and if anyone noticed.. before Pip took the alliance, there were many many older members that could be called 'legends' in our alliance. The CoE wants to keep the old legends alive, by paying honor to their memory, and therefore Amoran honors the memory of Khalazdad by not only holding his Cube... but speaking about his legacy to the younger generation in the realm. Some day, when I have time to learn MD script, I'll be placing a short history of Khalazdad on the remaining side of the cube.. and I intend fully to work on this short history with Peace and Marvolo.

[/quote] Not that I neccessarily believe cybering is okay, but I fail to see how this would be a problem if we could not see the written word publically anyway... unless of course certain players go on witch hunts to find such things with log spells. As for how to prevent this, I would suggest setting a limited number of characters to the whispering function. Since 'whispering' would be used more or less for short notifications. The benefits of whispering, that I see, is that it would bring more respect to actual roleplay. Instead of spamming the chat with nothing but OOC mumbo jumbo, people might actually stay in character more as opposed to talking OOC more. Just my thoughts, oh and I edited to add a bit more.

There is a small matter of illusions interfereing with alliances. The method used to regain her alliance, through process of elimination regarding other methods, must have been the illusions she has been working with and testing. I am uncertain as to whether this can be called an abuse, as she was surely assigned to test the illusions, however.. this did occur twice. A topic will be opened by Marvolo regarding illusions interfering with alliances.
