Since this is purely intuitive due to my lack of knowledge or any previous experience with symbols and the fact that I wouldn't leave Necrovion, I tried with a 1part... [attachment=2306:recruit1.jpg]

Well, I don't really like the idea. For one, because if I got an automated message with that content, I'd probably mark it as spam. What we could do though is send e-mail messages with major updates, etc. This wouldn't have the spam feel and it would actually be useful... Maybe every two weeks, with changes (the announcements) and a short recap what's going on in MD... The people who are taking a brake from MD could stay in the loop without logging in, and would probably open the e-mails out of curiosity if nothing else...

Well, I had a burst and since then my VE won't go down from max. I noticed it's the same with a couple of others. Note: It doesn't go down when I fight, no matter the influence, but it does deplete when I heal creatures.

How many heads do you have? It's probably the head regeneration stat penalty. And about the silver coins- there was a bug today that didn't allow item trade, so it might be connected...

Well, the graphics wouldn't be too hard to do, i guess (i presume you ment something like the liquid dust animation?), but there are other things to consider... Is weather in md even connected to the seasons? Or is there more to it than that... -cough-lands,elements-cough-just guessing-cough- Edit: Other than that, so haiku, I like it! x)

How do you feel about spy work? You'd have to supply your own tux and the only gadgets we have available are a tube of lube and a roll of duct-tape.(very high tech) You would have one of those nice code names like 520006258221073...

[/quote] No, I'm not blaming anyone, I'm just saying that characters like Knatty and SS make players that interact with them feel special. It's like interacting with a part of the world. Maybe I chose the wrong example in Knatty's quest. Hm, you can take Renavoid's quest as the other example... Quests that change the world are always more special than those that require you to solve riddles on clickies. That was my point. When you join MD now, and read the whole AL, see the newspaper, etc, it seems like that things were vibrant and alive back then and that they are quite dull at the moment... You go: I can be a part of this great adventure... Oh, wait, it's gone and it's not returning... But instead, you can gather branches and join the endless bickering that goes on in MD now. (It seems that all people can do lately is gnaw at each others necks) Let's take the Necrovion Rebelion... Something that could have been so much fun and has so much RP potential has been reduced to slinging insults. Same with this Drachorn Cave deal... (though there was the braking of the rules here, so not the best example) Automation of MD is not a bad thing, in most cases... But one of the things that makes MD special is a mix of the human factor... Automate too much and it's less "special"... That's what I was trying to say. One of the things that made me feel this way is the implementation of gathering professions... and later on, I'm guessing crafting as well...(not in a sense that's done now) Which would be more or less taking a feature most mmorpg games already have... It could be something else, probably, but from what I've seen of the Woodcutters, it's just a guild of alts that farm resources. With the implementation of the rest of the professions can you say for certain that MDP won't start being flooded with: WTS Branches, 5sc... WTS water, 1sc, etc. With raising the ammount of items, you raise the amount of trade goods, raising the amount of trade, which can lead to that situation... And just to wrap it up: My opinion isn't really based on facts, but a feeling, so it isn't too relevant. And I'm just one guy who likes to whine. (apparently) (Just for the record, I still think most of the recently implemented technical stuff is really good...) Edit: I was meaning to post this a couple of hours ago, but my internet went out... So I kind of missed the last few posts... ^.^

@ Mur: The point isn't Lifeline. Awiiya voices a legitimate concern about a direction this could lead to. You concentrated on lifeline's post because it was offensive towards you. My take: I really don't care about any of this (spell and lair related), but I do care about the direction of MD, and I agree with Kafuuka on this one. Making the game more automated and focusing on that part has made it less "special" lately.(I haven't been around for long, but I've heard stories about the past...might be exagerated, but the Knatty quest gave me a taste and I really liked it) We (the players) are partially to blame for that... partially it's the lack of people who stay in MD, partially the stars... partially the chickens... Now, it's easy to point out the problems, but how do we fix them?

Speach patterns and translation issues. Do I have to go over it? Not a native speaker, bla, bla. The reason I sound like Rheggs is probably because of the same culture/interests/mentality. I don't want to go down that road either... Personal? No... I just have an issue with your fun ruining a part of my gameplay experience.

Edit: I was trying to be formal in the PMs... And respectful... So I stated things clearly and concisely, without going around corners... Could you would you, why would you.
