The Oak:
[spoiler]
[30/06/14 22:00] Rophs:Let's begin.
[30/06/14 22:01] Rophs: *walks over to the Oak Sapling and sits down beside it cross legged* Who would like to tell a story first?
[30/06/14 22:01] Aeoshattr:Hm. I can tell the story of our kind's creation. Of the Nephilim.
[30/06/14 22:02] Rophs: *shakes his head* Nonono, it can't be a story you're ready to tell.
[30/06/14 22:02] Rophs:Tell a story about failue and dissapointment.
[30/06/14 22:03] Aeoshattr:Hm. *chuckles*
[30/06/14 22:04] Aeoshattr:Tough one. I'm not very... spontaneous
[30/06/14 22:07] Aeoshattr:Mallos?
[30/06/14 22:09] Rophs:Aeo?
[30/06/14 22:09] Aeoshattr:Hm. Well, I can try then. Let's see. Failure and disappointment.
[30/06/14 22:09] Aeoshattr:There was once a young man, roaming No Man's Land
[30/06/14 22:10] Aeoshattr:He knew little and, as any newcomer thrown into the unknown, he was afraid.
[30/06/14 22:11] Aeoshattr:He sought shelter from place to place, sleeping under the blazing Sun, either in the shade of the Gazebo, trying to hide in the tall grass, but never feeling at home.
[30/06/14 22:12] Aeoshattr:He stood in the Sun, he stood in the pouring rain.
[30/06/14 22:12] Aeoshattr:In storms and in blizzards. He endured. He spoke to many, but few spoke to him.
[30/06/14 22:13] Aeoshattr:Few - but one of those few, stood out. A woman, coming from the lush forests of Loreroot, taking off her precious time to help the poor young man.
[30/06/14 22:14] Aeoshattr:She guided him, brought him food when he had none left
[30/06/14 22:14] Aeoshattr:Gave him hope when he lost his.
[30/06/14 22:14] Aeoshattr:Lit his path when he saw no light.
[30/06/14 22:15] Aeoshattr:And the young man knew not what was happening to him - love was something he had never even dreamed of. But he was so lost in it, he couldn't see it. He was like a boat in a stormy sea.
[30/06/14 22:15] Aeoshattr:Swept wherever his love would want him to be swept.
[30/06/14 22:16] Aeoshattr:He loved her with all his heart. He had little to give, other than words and flowers he picked from the plains
[30/06/14 22:17] Aeoshattr:When he was finally allowed into Loreroot, it was the most beautiful day of his life - and the worst.
[30/06/14 22:17] Aeoshattr:The woman was always kind to him - but now he knew why she always just smiled when he gave her flowers, when he wrote her poems
[30/06/14 22:18] Aeoshattr:She was in the arms of another man - one that the poor young man could never hope to match.
[30/06/14 22:19] Aeoshattr:But he endured. As he stood in the pouring rain and in the roaring blizzard, he stood and endured.
[30/06/14 22:19] Aeoshattr:His love for her never waned, even though he knew she could never be his. But he did his best to keep her happy. He left many things behind, from the little he had
[30/06/14 22:20] Aeoshattr:He lived, and over the years, he saw the other man wear, fading faster than him.
[30/06/14 22:21] Aeoshattr:Naturally, the muse grew sad. She ran away from the forest, unable to look at it without remembering of her dying love.
[30/06/14 22:21] Aeoshattr:The poor young man was always in her shadow, keeping watch so that others wouldn't prey on such a pure, delicate woman.
[30/06/14 22:22] Aeoshattr:After all those years, after all the time he spent watching over her, he slipped for merely one moment - enough for her to fall to the Taint.
[30/06/14 22:23] Aeoshattr:The muse's beauty faded with each second as the vile curse consumed her, and she wept ashen tears.
[30/06/14 22:23] Aeoshattr:The young man, seeking to comfort her, spoke to her - as saddened as she was, for he had failed the one thing he could have done for her.
[30/06/14 22:24] Aeoshattr:Yet for a brief moment, the muse made a request herself. She never asked for anything of him, but in her dying breath. A muse like her could never fall to the Taint without perishing.
[30/06/14 22:24] Aeoshattr:It consumed all that she was, and it was indeed a terrible way to go.
[30/06/14 22:25] Aeoshattr:So the young man found himself holding her ivory knife, with her words burning in his head. "Kill me."
[30/06/14 22:26] Aeoshattr:He wept bitter tears like her, seeing her wither away with every passing moment. His hands shook and couldn't bring himself to do it. The muse embraced him one last time.
[30/06/14 22:26] Aeoshattr:And in doing so, let the ivory dagger impale her tender flesh, red blood soaking her white skin and dress.
[30/06/14 22:28] Aeoshattr:The man cried, knowing he had failed all that he ever wanted - his love lay dead in his arms, by his own hands. He came to the Land alone, walked alone and remained alone for the rest of his long life
[30/06/14 22:30] Aeoshattr: *rubs his chin* I believe that fits the request.
[30/06/14 22:31] :Rophs blinks
[30/06/14 22:31] Rophs:Fit isn't the right word...
[30/06/14 22:32] :Aeoshattr raises an eyebrow
[30/06/14 22:35] Aeoshattr:But?
[30/06/14 22:36] Rophs: *nods* Give me a story topic.
[30/06/14 22:37] Aeoshattr: *seems slightly confused but nods* Hm.
[30/06/14 22:38] Rophs:Hm?
[30/06/14 22:38] Rophs: *nods* Hm.
[30/06/14 22:38] Aeoshattr:Pondering.
[30/06/14 22:38] Aeoshattr:Balance and temptation.
[30/06/14 22:39] Rophs:Which one?
[30/06/14 22:39] : Rophs collects wiiya
[30/06/14 22:39] : Rophs collects wiiya
[30/06/14 22:39] : Rophs collects wiiya
[30/06/14 22:41] Aeoshattr:Go with balance, if you wish to pick one
[30/06/14 22:43] :Rophs nods
[30/06/14 22:45] Rophs:Long ago all of the existence that now makes up MD was in a single fenth capsule.
[30/06/14 22:45] Rophs:It was completely orderly and balanced, except for one thing.
[30/06/14 22:46] Rophs:The amount of balance severely outweighed the amount of imbalance.
[30/06/14 22:47] Rophs:This slight imbalance penetrated the fenth capsule and tore it apart, spiraling MD into the Great Chaos.
[30/06/14 22:49] Rophs:It was months, years, who knows how long until an Angien walking among the chaos found a small cube buried underneath a hatch with a map drawn on it,
[30/06/14 22:50] Rophs:The Angien unfolded the cube and pressed it onto the hatch's map, juxtaposing the image onto theunfolded cube.
[30/06/14 22:50] Rophs:a
[30/06/14 22:51] Rophs:Slowly the Angien gathered some of the less chaotic bits of fenths and added them to the cube, and it began to grow.
[30/06/14 22:51] Rophs:After years of working to grow the cube this Angien restored balance to MD and unfolded the cube/
[30/06/14 22:51] :Rophs nods
[30/06/14 22:51] Rophs:The end.
[30/06/14 22:53] Rophs:Next we visit the Maple at Sanctuary's View.
[30/06/14 22:53] :Aeoshattr nods
[30/06/14 22:54] :[Spell] listen to the whisper of the seeds

The Maple:
[spoiler]
[30/06/14 21:23] :Rophs nods to Mallos
[30/06/14 21:24] :Mallos nods
[30/06/14 21:55] Aeoshattr: (That took vastly longer than expected...)
[30/06/14 21:55] Rophs: (:P)
[30/06/14 21:55] Rophs: (LR has the slowest regen iirc)
[30/06/14 21:57] Aeoshattr: (Yep)
[30/06/14 21:57] Aeoshattr: (Ironic, if you ask me)
[30/06/14 21:57] Rophs: (It's harder to run through a forest than it is to run through a wasteland)
[30/06/14 21:58] Rophs: (someone from LR might be more accustomed to moving slower, and someone from NC faster)
[30/06/14 21:58] Aeoshattr: (But the forest should regenerate faster than a dead wasteland... since the regen also involves VE and all that) [30/06/14 22:56] : Aeoshattr collects lumber
[30/06/14 22:56] Rophs:Was that an attack on the Maple?
[30/06/14 22:57] Aeoshattr: (Oops.)
[30/06/14 22:57] :Rophs shrugs
[30/06/14 22:57] Rophs: *pulls a stool over to the Maple* Granos and Ailith used one of their Warrants today.
[30/06/14 22:58] Aeoshattr:I have heard. I am curious what they used it for though...
[30/06/14 22:58] Aeoshattr:I don't think such matters should be kept private, but alas, it is not my decision to make
[30/06/14 22:59] Rophs:Whatever they used it upon is secret.
[30/06/14 22:59] Aeoshattr:Disturbing, I think.
[30/06/14 23:00] :Rophs nods
[30/06/14 23:03] Rophs:The Willow is next, at Willow's Walk.
[30/06/14 23:03] :[Spell] listen to the whisper of the seeds
