EDIT: Nevermind. Cleared up the issue I had.

Jester, ID 77557, AD 1053 I haven't been very active lately but that's because I haven't had anything to do (nobody to joke with or goals to work on). I'm ridiculously active when I have reason to be. Reasons I could be on the council if people wanted to vote for me: -I don't want power and I don't expect anything from this council except to have a better MD at the end (even if I'm not on the council). -I've practiced and learned how to reach compromises, its one of the skills that's served me best in MD to date. -I want everybody to come away happy with the changes made, not me or my favorite people. -I've come up with quite a few ideas for MD months before they were actually implemented in game. -I can come up with simple ideas to problems that seem complicated. -I'm very good at keeping secrets that need to be kept. I don't really expect to be voted for but if those reasons sound like something you want in a council member, I'm your Jester

I'm trying to get the AL back. I have a proposition ready but I'm fine tuning it. Also, I was an archivist for a while Ivorak.

This is why I want to learn how to hack. First thing I'd do (if I was one of the greatest hackers of all time and stuff) is go through and reveal the names of all the people who did this to a few different people I have in mind. Drives me crazy.

I'm a loner. I got to GoE late and didn't find anyone to be partners with. Maybe one of the players who get here later will team up with me, who knows.

I have a mini-me?! Maybe I can make an Austin Powers remake.

  8. A forum post saying how MD is alive because of you is unneeded, I agree. But I think a forum topic about the qualities we like best about you is stil a good idea, such as your ability to devote your life to a project like MD.
  9. Great idea! Most people say what they appreciate about Mur already though. The point of the other thread was to be able to say any problems you had without him taking any action against you. Saying nice things generally doesn't result in negative actions being taken against you. Anyway... I love how MD is basically Mur's life and all the work he puts into it, you can tell he's really dedicated to this site and everything it means. That's probably my favorite thing about him.
  10. DD: Choosing a ridiculous role and one you can't possibly back up is what is discouraged by the community. Most people are encouraged by the community when they pick a role. Being given one by Mur just makes it official. EDITED: Mur does take responsibility for people he gives powers to. Off the top of my head, Poe was jailed, and I lost all my Kingship powers after abusing them. Chewett: I haven't seen anyone do anything remotely resembling what I've done before, so how do you know that I'm being favored? People in MD are given lots of chances.. Permanent bans are very rare in MD and its very rare for someone with my activity to get one.

Enough with the dying, its just annoying. Obviously the people who are being said to have died don't want to and it just leads to annoying back and forths (in my opinion, maybe others feel differently).

A cat sat on Zleiphners face and then died... Zleiphner woke up he said, "WHY!?" He shoved the knife into its sheath, slapping DD who's a GoB onto a bee. Zleiphner, thought that this was bizarre So he kicked the puppy Fang and Fang cried... hell broke loose! and licked BoB, poor BoB always whipped by demons. Then came Eon who finally said, "Enough you people!" and killed DD. DD's blood flowed down and down until it reached a river of chicken fat. Change with Lord Tipu is a good pair of idiots. After Eon's retirement, they decided to kill each other but were unsuccessful, so they slept embracing one another's anime collections. Meanwhile, Peace declared war to avenge DD and all bees, headed by *MasterB*'s biggest CrAzY BeE Eff Eff. The war was won! DD's revival was forever postponed but finally happened in his dreams and reality too! But! DD mutated into a glow, eventually becoming human 9000.1 years later. He killed Change's cousin named Chaos with bread knives and a toothpick killed DD again. This time Permanently. With no way (pickle radish turnip) to not revive without dying again. Peace killed Pothos with his scarf and disappeared. DD trains hardcore despite nadrolski copying him. Except DD's dead dog is revived and it kills DD, starting an apocalypse of pretty rainbows indeed. THE END is not here b̷̿u̘̦͈̺ͯͣ̏͑ͯ̃̊͞t̪̀ ͙̘̲̚͠s̸̲͎̳̬̣͉͂̄̇͋ͬͭ̃ͅo̷̳̣̬̺̹ͤ̌̓̅͊̎o͈͎̖ͣ̃͑̽͆̑ͣn̵ͭ ͮ̐́̉͗i͈̘͉̲͇̜̯͂͐̇͟t̞̲̱̰̪̏̓̚ will begin. Hammer time commenced, the realm dreamed of red buttons and lollipops galore comes to green buttons that were unpressable. In MD I want to do something significant to the story, like search for the book of principles again using new ideas, or something more original. I have since I joined MD. Its why I joined. Sadly this looks less and less possible as time goes on, but I still want to.

I think we could change MD, and getting more people to participate in heads certainly would. My original idea was to create two seperate HC contests for MP5, with an elite category and a regular one, with elite having better prizes, and once you choose the elite category you're stuck with it forever, no switching back to normal MP5 and dominating. Edited to add this section: Since my idea has people winning prizes even if they don't have a huge score, being in the elite category would still get you good prizes even if you weren't No One or Eon, so people would still have a reason to join it.

Entirely mostly new Heads Contest Idea By Sir Jester McJestington the Third, Esquire Instead of having four winners each category, everyone could fight for heads and win something. Your score at the end of Heads is your points. Points are then redeemable for prizes, such as Coupons like No One suggested, a Gold Heads medal if you get enough score at the end, and whatever other things people want in MD. Things that are only available through Heads could be incentive to play as well, such as a resource gatherer for a high amount of points. Each MP level would have different prizes, with MP5 having the best. With this point system the strongest fighters could rack up points for better prizes, but just participating could get a high enough score to win something. This could add a whole new element of strategy to the game like trying to steal a massive heads ball from a grinder for one count or teams rotating to all get points. To somewhat level the playing field anything would go in this contest, so any spells you have could be used. Also the more people who are online to accumulate heads, the more points would be available at the end, so hopefully this would encourage people to stay online to get access to better prizes. Someone with a better grasp of what's available and how much its worth currently would have to make this list up, but just for the sake of an example: If you finished Heads with 10,000 points, you could then trade them in for a prize worth 10,000 points, two worth 5,000 points, or 10 worth 1,000. Basic prizes could be resources, expendable items like cake or rarer creatures like Angiens or Tormented Souls. In this idea points would not carry over and would be reset each game, but allowing people to save up is also a possibility. The basis behind this idea is to reward participation instead of winning due to other's inactivity. This is a rough idea so any input is appreciated.

My ideas from reading this topic: -Make two different types of Heads for normal and BHC -Make the contest much less frequent than it is, so more new players who are interested get to participate at once -Put a time limit on Heads so that if an MP level hasn't achieved the required amount of Heads within 24 hours of the first MP level reaching it, that MP level is taken out of the race and the MP levels that did reach it can continue without waiting forever
  17. Jester replied to Shemhazaj's topic in Quest Archive
Um, just a thought, but could there be different types of heads? Bronze for MP3, Silver for MP4, Gold for MP5, Red for BHC? Edit: Rophs pointed out that two colors for heads should be plenty as different MPs can't attack each other (besides alliances which aren't a big deal) so perhaps just Red and Black heads.
  18. Cowardice levels instead of cowstance?
  19. The Shin Megami Tensei series is what I've been playing recently. It has a lot of demon mythology and some interesting themes to it, like chaos vs order.
  20. Dan didn't let me use Jester Aid: Recover 100 hp. He claims its not a valid move or doesn't exist or something. THAT'S cheating.

Having Jester taken over and humiliated is the worst thing I can imagine happening to me in MD. Magistra has suffered greatly here as well. Having said that, people posting opinions back and forth can't resolve this, so here is my take on what Magistra should do before even being considered for release: 1. Apoligize to Chewett publicly, including WHY she's apoligizing, not just saying sorry. 2. Stating what she is going to do with her time if she's not stuck in jail that would make it worth letting her out. If those two things are adequately accomplished the people involved in the situation could review them and make a decision. This will be my last post on the issue.
  22. Not grab the thief, but accuse them. Enough accusations could give a thief tag with additional penalties. One thing I really like about stealing is that anyone would be able to get any resource, not just people who happened to be given a tool. Stealing should be interesting, but a related possibility is items that take a long, long time and lots of community effort to build up, with a way for different groups to vie for control. The stealing mechanism seems like it could build up to this. I think that not only should you be able to steal resources as they're being harvested, but after more recipes are introduced, you should be able to steal from anyone who has enough resources hoarded up and hasn't used them for anything. Items should NEVER be able to be stolen however. Land based mechanisms that could be used to increase the strength of one land or take away from another could be used as well. Could relate to torches, instead of the annoying AP system it used last time, each land could have items that could be built or destroyed that effect people in the land, reducing or increasing AP cost, giving stat bonuses, being able to push people out of your land... the possibilites are endless. Land affiliation bonuses could be controlled this way too. Reduce your land's AP timer, increase stat bonuses, even control how many alliance seats you have. I think it would encourage a lot more unity amongst the lands and give people a goal to work towards together. Items within a scene could also effect how quickly your land's resources regenerate. Even inner magic could be related to this, being able to use ingredients as a focus for spells or something (if thats how they work, I've never heard of anyone actually using inner magic). Get enough people together and you could cast a spell. A resource that people are given based on Active Days could also come into effect, and be used to support an idea. An interface where people could come up with a new alliance idea or the garden like Rumi could let people put their Active Days in, and once enough support has been gathered, something new could be created. Items with new uses and new recipes could fall in this category as well. Whoops, I got way off track there, sorry. I got really excited. Most of that should probably go in another topic. The way those things are related to stealing is that stealing could apply to things being created, not just resources being gathered I guess. This could revolutonize MD and make the gameplay infinitely more fun, if its implemented in an interesting way. I would probably never stop playing. EDIT: Ok, I'm going to continue my previous ideas and link them to stealing. Things being created could be stolen from the same way resources being harvested could be. While building something up, others could come and take your materials. An example would be lands being able work on building something that would reduce their AP timer, while other lands try to steal the resources from it and use it to build their own. Putting a limit on how many resources could be used per day, as well as allowing those resources to be stolen during that day, would work for this. EDIT 2: Another idea: creating items that work similarly to heads, but that can be used in items. Example: A totem that stores these "heads" and can be stolen from. After stealing the "heads", the person needs to get back to their land without someone attacking them and taking the "heads". After doing so, the heads can be deposited in the item for a special effect.
