forgive my lack of acknowledgement of the differences in terminology. Waitresses and Waiters may apply to Xcereses
-
After much debate, and the absence of the current owner, the Caretakers have purchased the Tribunal Pub. It's new name is now dubbed "The Drunken Corpse". The Owner of the bar is now Xcereses. There have been many bartenders, waitresses, and patrons of the pub since it first became new and fantastic to those of us. Xcerses had always been around the bar since it first opened, but when the Tribunal was all but closed he and I spent many hours there drinking and conversing of all sorts of topics. Though he has been a part of many different things in his life on MD, that time had proven most influential of my opinion of him. Therefore he became a member of the Caretakers, and now owner of "The Drunken Corpse". Sephirah Caelum is the official waitress. Other waitresses interested may apply directly to Xcereses. As Dark Rum supplies have dwindled with the lack of Gremlin's presence we are also looking for a new distiller in which to replenish the stock. Many other types of beverage are available at the bar. All are welcome. The trip is well worth it. Local Pub Drunkard, Phantasm

today is the funeral. I thank all of you for your kind words. She will be dearly missed

As a few know, my mother has been failing in her health these last couple of weeks. It is one of the main reasons I have been so distant from any online action. She passed away at the age of 79 last evening. She had lung cancer for 4 years, and the cancer finally overtook her. Her and my wife were two of the shining joys in my life. She never asked for anything and gave everything she could, and will truely be missed. Times like these make one question their actions and current state of life. I am not leaving MD, but I will not be available for most things for a while to come. I apologize for any events/plans that I am currently in the middle of that must be delayed/cancelled. I can still be reached through pms of any variety, though the time at which they will be read and responded will be hard to determine.

Festival of War and Remembrance 29th of June to 4th of July
phantasm replied to Metal Bunny's topic in General Forum
Length of activity (there is no real minimum, but it helps). Type of role and dominance thereof (fighter, roleplayer, helper? Were they the undisputed, or were other peers great or greater?) Impact on MD, seen as a sum of their activity (were they beneficial, nefarious? Did they influence a lot, or not?) Impact on MD, in singular achievements that are noteworthy (Established an alliance, became the first to do this or that). I would like to nominate Sagewoman for a nominee. Length of activity= Women don't reveal their age, but its a darn bit older then most of you youngsters Type of role and doninance=The Hostess of the Loreroot Inn as long as most can remember. Longest role as a hostess of anything as far as my old mind can remember. Imact on MD as a sum=There are few who don't know sagewoman...wether through her antics, helpful tips, or friendship few could find. Crazy as always but there for any. Impct on MD, sigular avievements= Besides the large role she played in legends such as Khalazdad, Grido, Granos, Zeiphener, Kragel, etc i believe most can state a singular acievment that sticks out in all their time in MD that with Sage. I know I sure can....... -

agreed with Z. BFH for your youth comparative to alot of us, you have done more in your time then alot those that were around when I was still young lad. Like has been stated before, most legends don't need to be written in books or notarized, we know who we are. So no need to be so humble BFH:P -

i agree with shadowseeker 110%. Sooner or later everyone is remembered if you are around long enough. If we look at "Legend" in itself, there has always been contriversy. Legends are defined by their embellishments of deeds done in times long before the general populations time. Legends in life are usually only legends after they are gone for a generation or two. Before then they are Heros, or Factual Historical figures. Fionna McCumhal for example was indeed a great person long ago. You start throwing in mythilogical components, great deeds no normal man could accomplish, etc and POOF a legend. There is nothing at all wrong with it either. I personally feel that legends are what give us perspective to try and aim twards a higher goal, wether its morality wise, intelligence, gift of music/song, combatical skills, etc. In game, legends are often defined while the player is still around. Wether active or not, they are noted for whatever deeds they have done, and looked up to by enough people to be a thumb sticking out in a crowd of fingers. I could list off a fairly laundry list of who I personally feel are legends, great people who helped me create who my character is in the game today. (though yes i know i haven't been on much this year, been crazy busy with life) It's all perspective though, wether right or wrong, and is a great attrocity to try and tear down someone who others feel did something great. DST is one of the most wonderful people I have met in this game over the last 3 years I have played, but its in her nature to do her part to cause waves in the water. I only hope that most people see the good in whatever legends they believe in, in this game. After all, its all these lagends that created this game. Good or bad, evil or angelic, crazy or REALLY crazy:P, dead or alive, there is a LARGE list of people who have had an impact on this game and the people who continually play it. A list of 100,000,000,000 or 10, I think what truely matters is that the names of the Legends live on in peoples minds. How they affected each of us in different ways. After all when people are LONG gone and no longer affect those "alive" then they are simply pieces of paper who affected those after them, who affected those after them, who affected those after them, who affect you today. -
let us not forget turning Tribunal into even more of a wastelant then before with the horrid 81 AP and turning off the codes to the Tribunal jump!!!

from a philosophical point of view. "Chaos begets more chaos and nothing more." One of my favorite lines of BS. If we use the Big Bang Theory (which there are several of) as a base, the thought is that there is basic nothingness floating around multiple universes. Then "one day" two nothingness's collide and form a black hole. Then it consumes everything, the entire universe, until the void is so great that the black hole explodes. Thus, creating the "heavens and the earth". Chaos in its truest nature. Yet there is no life, no plants, just solid barren rock. If we assume the ideal that there is no greater being where does "life" come from? "That without explanation or reason is Chaos". SO therefore life itself is born from Chaos. We live our meaningless lives out scrambling like ants to obtain things, horde them as treasures, and then die. No reason or explanation why we have the urges we have, only the deep desire within us that drives us. Death itself is Chaos. It takes indiscriminately, often times those who we feel still have purpose of life left to be. It wipes out whole populations without batting an eye and leave chaos and destruction in its path. Now for the kicker. If we believe that in turn the Chaos 'organized' all of this in a pattern far beyond our comprehension, then Chaos takes form of something. In turn Chaos IS God. Therefore there is no such thing as Chaos, as it is a patter of reason, just reason we don't understand. Or is there?????....... TO be, or not to be....that is chaos

My son graduates in Georgia in a couple weeks so will be heading down there to do that and bring him back. Should hopefully be working on a new PC after that, until then you will just have to keep poking Z with a stick while he sleeps:P Really miss MD hope all is going well. I know the birthday bash is getting underway. Will try and make it on now and then to see what is going on. Doing alot of stuff irl. Its amazing how much stuff needs done when you get unplugged:D Get the garden in and finish the guest bedroom remodeling and should be a good summer.

small private training groups have been going on for as long as I can remember. Before, During, and After the GGG. Some last longer then others. The long lasting ones are the ones where you find a small group of people you trust and let it stay at that. The problem becomes when its mainly alliance members there is such a long waiting period between fights. SO others go out looking for more people to join in and then poof its all over but the crying. Literally. The GGG had a great affect on the community. It's gone, but most people can't reform to old ways. Training now takes alot longer and bursts aren't like hard candy to be thrown about to everyone. In these days of such huge VE though bursts are more a trivial matter then they used to be. Minus the Angien most creatures don't take all that long to train win wise. Overall its best to stick to you and your friends travelling the lands and training together. Sticking in one spot too long will get you found out by someone, but if you only stay in one local a day or two and move as a group you will find most people leave you alone.

well I have been tryig to keep it alive for around a month now. The vid card caused the mother board to crash a while back. Put in a new vid card and it worked for a while. It has officially lost its last leg and is now dead as a doornail. Luckily the vid card is still under 30 day so i can take it back. However for the next bit I won't have a computer so will be abent from MD until I can get a new one. Hopefully it is before the birthday bash becuase I in no way want to miss out on that.

The sun is the giver of life. It allows plants to photosynthisys, which in turn create oxygen, which in turn give us life. I feel that the sun is a symbol. It is like 'God' in the respect that we can not survive without it, and it gives us all we have now to the simplest form. Without the sun there would be no warmth, so things would become blind and die. The moon would not shine becuase there would be no sun to reflect its image to us. Without the sun there simply wouldn't be. Much like ANY scripture with religion about God. Without God we are nothing, with him we are everything. Without Sun we are nothing, with it we are everything.
