Thank you all for coming to this event. Mur even made it to pass out some goodies while the party went on. Unfortunately most of the games took to long and there were no winners. Thats ok though we will put this gold to good use in other future games and quests. It brought many people to the Tribunal and an after-effect of that was very low ap movement through the Tribunal. We hope that more events put on by the Caretakers will continue to bring people to the beautiful surroundings of the Land of the East. We enjoy greatly when people come, visit, and wander about, helping others to travel through what normally takes a long time to navigate.

In the spirit of Halloween I have started a quest. Little to most knowledge the quest has already started!!! Some strange thing has happened. Our dear friends are turning into ghosts!! One moment they are themselves enjoying the day and POOF, GHOST!!! The quest will be to keep track of ALL those who have been turned ghost specifically by Phantasm's cloak. Already there have been 4 people who have been ghosted by this new mystery. You must first find those, and also keep track of any future 'ghost stories'. Hints are to be let out in this topic as time progresses. If there are more then one person who have correctly kept track of all those who have been ghosted, the person with them in the correct order shall break a tie. If there is more then one person who has correctly listed all people who were ghosted by Phantasm's cloak, there will be a SUDDEN DEATH!!! The final day of ghosting will be Halloween night. So everyone will have to wait until then to make their final decision. ALSO as an added fete, you must also find me, and PM me with the information for the quest as well as the location I will be idle at. Only one winner, and they shall be richly rewarded in many facets of rich!!!

agreed with SS. Those of us who have spent hundreds of dollars in credits over our years of playing, have done so helping out the MD community as well as ourselves. Paying for credits is a way to keep MD up and running. If you start handing out free credits for no reason many people would stop putting money into MD, and therefore not only the market within MD would crash. MD itself would suffer and cause more financial strain on the game.

Everybody suggesting to take skill damage away from Eon or out of the game: Eon earned it, it was a reward. If you want it taken out at least suggest something to be given in return and keep in mind that Eon doesn't care what YOU want, he wants what he views as a fair exchange, not to sacrifice his hard earned reward for what you think is the "greater good". This is a good statement from pip. Thought the ONLY thing I have differences in is the fact of what do we agree is EARNED? EON put ALOT (and i mean alot) of money into the game in order to get the tokens and such to reach such a degree. So we reach the dilemma. Do people gain certain privileges spending mass amounts of money in order to further whatever their goal is (whether it is RP wise or combat wise) vs most of MD who honestly can't afford to pay into a game. The old philosophic debate of those who pay to keep the game financially going vs those who keep the actual game going. Honestly i don't see any solution between the two, because which of the two lesser evils. You don't like stat damage? Better get in the combat game or learn to get over it and enjoy the RP that goes on. As since i doubt the situation will ever change that is the realization we are left with.

alot of good points brulant. Main problem is as they said GREED. There is no stopping that. People will find ways around it. Making alts and being on right when tools spawn in order to gather more resources for themselves. (while illegal yes, we all know it goes on ALOT) They will have friends farm it, then cut them a share in order to keep resources from getting outside the 'circle of friends'. There are always many ways around things in this game as there are in life. You see this sort of thing happen all the time *COUGH OIL OIL COUGH*. I do however agree completely that there are many issues with this that are in dire need of being addressed. I do not like to see the Tribunal resources attacked ruthlessly either.

Recently I purchased a location. When I first put in my user submitted info, it was a temporary until I thought up the proper description. Or so I thought. Turns out you can not edit the User submitted info unless you WASTE a WP to repurchase the scene so you can re-edit the user submitted info. Considering the depth of the WP to change a scene, and the fact you use a WP for the original scene change, shouldn't those who 'loan' the scene be able to edit the user submitted info? I think so anyway. It would not only make it more helpful for those who initially purchase a scene without a proper description, but it would also allow us to change say daily specials at a pub, or current activities at said location. It would also help to promote events like flyers for those who pass the location.

I am looking for someone to create an image for an item. After approval of drawing and price it must be fully ready (negative imaging, sizing, etc) to send in for approval. The Item description follows as thus: Staff of the Caretaker A lightweight yet strong wooden staff, waterproof and resistant to decay. An uncommon item for a servant but still of great utility if well used. On its surface is etched a symbol of a sun and a moon alongside a symbol of the Caretakers.

many of the vets make good points on this particular post. This is by far not the first type of post, nor are you the first person to feel like this. Most all veterans who have and do play this game have gone through a similar period. Being an older person IRL I have learned long ago that creating such a uproar in ones own mind often tends to leave it with nothing more then more questions and an ulsur. The main thing is to do what you enjoy. Enjoyment is the reason we play games, work so hard at our jobs, and put up with ALOT of other crap. If you truely no longer enjoy something no matter how hard you try its time to move on. Many vets have moved on, some in more graceful ways then others. Those of us that are still here learn to treasure those who we do enjoy. I have not been nearly as active this last year as in years past. Many new people would know little if anything about Phantasm. You go and ask Z, DST, Sage, WIndy, Amoran, Mya, Peace. Firs, etc etc....and they would have a few good words to say. It is because I enjoy those people, and therefore made enjoyable time with them. THAT is what really matters at the end of the day. By the way shameless offtopic plug of this. Z is one of my best friends and one of the greatest people I have ever known in this game. If you find yourself frustrated with the game or the drama, and you are truely willing to listen without your own judgement in the way, I think many who lose faith in the game would regain it as quickly as lost. Its getting to know people like that, that make all the "beef" a fine dinner amongst friends. Hope that helps a little, where you are is not a fun place to be, many of us vets are/were right there.
