How about that first free wp comes a certain number of active days AFTER beoming MP5. We need an incentive for those with stunted "growth" to move up. I've earned 3 and caused another 5 to be awarded. But I'm a firm believer that "Magic"Duel needs more magic! And MD needs more players moving to MP5. I wouldn't even whine (much) if only the newest mp5's got that first free wp.......

So if you're right Burns, the bug is that it is checking the wrong creature. You should get status on the ve that changed - i.e., the caster.

Last night about 11pm EST USA I was moving along and entered GoE. White Nothing for a picture, surrounded by the normal mood panel, etc. The catchy jingle fades in and out. No amount of refresh would bring it back. Just now, 8-9 hours later, same thing. Cleared cookies, no effect, no picture. Switched to Firefox (the transition was a bit glitchy in terms of log-on) but this cleared up the problem.

Okay, if I read the log Asterdai sent me correctly, he basically got a lot more facts than Assira did, wore her out and got her to admit her leverage (probably too easily - leverage should have been last to admit -- note her post "Assira the Black Becoming Brain Dead... studying for 3 tests that are tomorrow " ). She then had to reveal the rest of her secrets, including the very lucky fact that she was the one that could fulfill Asterdai's secret desire. Seems an abrupt end to the game, but I think we have arrived. Unless anybody is going to raise objections, I think Asterdai is the winner. I'll wait till tomorrow then request Clock Master to award the wp. Congrats, Asterdai. Please post with your opinion whether we should do this again, and what should be different.

Umm, you read my post wrong. 1 gold and 3,000 lyrics was bid on the Santa. 1 gold straight up was bid for one of the BPs. If you reject the Santa bid, I would offer 2 gold plus 1 silver for two BP's. Tell us what tokens they have, and I might go higher.

Right, the fact that SOMEBODY has a favorite color red is not a game fact. There must be a linkage to be considered a game fact. MUR is the person who's favorite color is red. Or, the person whose favorite color is red also grows tomatos. Similarly the fact that Asterdai is a player, is not considered a game fact in this variant of the rules (could be different other episodes).

(Quality upheld only by my reputation - Santa to be delivered upon receipt of the initially requested works, though you may reserve some word counts for a later time. Okay, here's the deal on PM's. Nobody has any way to prove that they were read or not. So, sending a lone PM to try to force a trade is a very dicey proposition. The recipient might read it and pretend that they have not. Of course, they could not legally use that fact then, and could be called to the mat for cheating if they used it without "logging" a way they legally got it. My advice on PM's - only use them when you can tell somebody IN CHAT that they have a PM coming from you [u]right now[/u]. Then they are binding and can't be ignored. You can also PM somebody with a request to negotiate a voluntary trade, or meet at a certain spot etc.

Some of the existing wishes are a lot more lame/wasteful/temporary than this one. Zeroing your xp is already a wish, and given the debate over Febuary and company, it ought to be more contentious than this. Boosting your VE is another even more ridiculous one... Eternal balance would change my game play, let me offer other public rituals etc., let me be more at ease at public gatherings away from sanctuaries, and burning a wish point vs. finding 650 victories is at least worth considering. Moving from 750 to 650 has been a lot of work, and I've had to do it twice now. [Edit note: I did understand Shadow's points below. I am PRO this idea, and am countering the idea that this would be a waste of a wp - it is definitly better than existing ones I discuss. Sorry if I did not make this clear.]

I still think you should give 1 free "kill" to the score so that simply carrying the torch unopposed would score. Suddenly all the mp3's in Marind's Bell would become an important force, and MB would stand a chance. I think the chance to "see the world" should NOT be denied to new players. Removing a privledge would simply push new players further away and hurt the cause of growing MD.
