Top links: Forum activity (very often, too much in my opinion it can keep me distracted from whats in front of me in MD) , Free Credits and View announcements (somewhat, every time there's an announcement or I need to review an old one or when credits are up), Restrictions/Known Issues (not often, if I need to review a rule/if I remember to really). These all seem very important to me. Bottom links: Same as toplinks with Restrictions and Contact being used not often and perhaps Bug Report though all of these links look like they should be here. Right Bar: same country, most popular and active vets all at not often, Webcam, Quest Clickables and Role Tags at somewhat, Mood Panel, Public Logs at very often. I had an idea for the sidebar or the "right bar" links while writing this about which links you might want to keep there or move elsewhere perhaps along with a lot of the other links (moving them to inside the "see more" part of the sidebar as shown in this picture linked) http://storenow.net/download/0cbf22ff6bac28b73a2a037bf8a99fef/sidebarseemore.jpg Basically everything within the square I drew would stay there and be unmoving and it would be the most important links (such as Quests) that people want to use, everything else can be put inside the "see more" just below, but above where the mood panel/public logs show up at. Or this all can be done the opposite way whichever is preferable. Ah and I can't forget the "who's online" is one of my most clicked buttons probably. excuse my crude paint skillz Something that I use a lot that takes a while to get to is my creatures page, getting to and from each creature and checking won fights + heat and ages for all of them can be a pain, if there was an easier or quicker way to display it it would be nice but I don't know how to do that. Perhaps two links within the creature page that is like a "go to next creature" and "go back one creature" Documentation pages all seem fine to me if you mean ~ Friends ~ Papers ~ Spells ~

  5. Please post in your lands forum what your rules are for that land if you wish to avoid further conflicts with these roles. The actual conflicts they are creating are quite minor and negative towards the community, we should rather use them to find how we (as the community) can get around these limitations. Roles like these will probably become more automated if people like Mur's idea here:

  7. To defend the pub in the east with my tools as a Caretaker of the Tribunal, I have already spoken with phantasm the current pub owner ingame and by pm on my thoughts long ago. I had come to the conclusion you may grab as many tools from the pub as you would wish, as long as I do not catch you transferring them to alts that are your own (through way of giving them to your friends and they hoard them all too and give them to your alts perhaps?). Essentially don't take all the liquor or I will be mad. (I was hoping I wouldn't have to be the first to open a topic like this as mine is rather inconsequential in the current context of MD)
  8. Can I be signed up for the week after? Tis something of my birthday. I'd like to choose option number 2 2) Sacrifice a creature. You have to sacrifice a creature once you are in Necrovion. The age or amount of stored heat won’t matter as long as your sacrifice produces 3 fenths.

If I couldn't speak out to Mur/Chew here in sake of nadrolski and other tool guardians who have gone inactive, their roles should stay for now and we see how many "points" they gain with their new roles, I think newer more veteran "point" earners would be more suited to take over their roles in time. Currently I feel as lands should be able to behave in any way their tool holder and/or King/Queen wants to specify here on the forum, or else possible replacements can be issued (maybe like trust points for the tool guardians).

  16. Meh I read those long replies but they can get lost in the forum, and I try to keep mine short for a few reasons... Anyways there's very few actual abuse going on here as the tool ban only lasts for a day so even if nad banned darkraptor twice it only lasts for 2 days out of the 7 day week, plus this hording of tools is nothing new... Just something new we can fix (IE use of tools to ban nad hording his locations items...). Are we going to let people get away with this? More importantly, who is setting the rules for MB as it's King (Maebius) seems absent in the realm. I assume nadrolski is making his own rules. Perhaps there needs to be 2 tool guardians in specific locations, another could ban nad for his discrepancies and keep their own land in check. Inter-land banning such as klawdees tool for use on nad would fix this easily as well and save us the trouble of finding a new tool guardian for each land.

    Ok I was really trying to make a connection with killing and combat but I couldn't quite so here goes: Dead players may kill 1 player per month they are dead. Retribution is for the swift, as dead can't walk far. Stay away from necrovion everyone, it's radioactive.

  20. I tied mp6 into the combat system in a strange way, idk if it works but it's a suggestion from an earlier post in here. I think Principles need work, as they currently don't have any use asides from tokens. It might be fun to make some connections between those and some other point in MD.

  22. To be clear I mean the item recallers would be personal for the player that has that specific killing item to be recalled. They would not remove everyone's tools to a location. All they would help is to negate a step between management of MD and getting their killing tool for them if it wasn't returned on time. What it would take is coding these recallers for the people who have killing tools and perhaps giving it to them, if they want it. Though it doesn't seem like players want this too much. 3 yes / 5 no currently.
  23. I agree with what they are saying here. The game really seems like it's in beta still once you understand it a bit better, which can give players a sense of want for things they don't have. With all the stuff being added this want can be disappointing if not fulfilled. This can and probably puts a strain on the developers (Mur/Chew) to fix or add new items, but sometimes it can be too much. We need to look back at what we are creating and figure out what's best for the community as a whole and in large, get that done and then perhaps focus more on advertising when MD is ready to "reset" and let a bunch more people in (as well as the vets that have quit if they would join again). nadrolski Posted August 7 "MP6." What I remember of mp6 was there were a few players who had it at any given time, and a lot of the time these players might change and let another player take their spot as mp6, letting another person be able to upgrade their creatures or try it out/etc. There were around 2-3 at any time though maybe more. So work on mp6 would be nice as currently we have none. It only seems like Syrian and Nimrodel are trying to become mp6, both hovering around 20-25 adepts if i'm not mistaken. I've asked a few players if they would like to adept either of them and so far none that I've asked were willing to change to be their adept though players can be hard to find currently. So even if one of them stopped trying for mp6 I doubt the other would be able to reach mp6 or if they did they may not be a very stable one. Even worse if a third would try to become mp6 they would possibly leech adepts from one of the current ones or be unable to gain adepts completely, ruining any of their chances to become mp6. With a higher population I feel these same problems would persist except 1 may still reach it to mp6 while more would encounter something of this same issue.
  24. I definitely don't like taking tools from inactive players, it's near the same as taking back all their gold, sure it's not being used but it's still theirs and why do we need it? We could just make more. As for stealing tools, the tools could be role tools or very valuable or personal (such as killing tools) and for any stealing thereafter there is hardly any options you can go through that will get your tool back other than complain to admins (Mur/Chew) and any social/roleplay aspect of this is bound to be frustrating and just turn into a witch hunt. In the end I would think it's not worth it and would rather just not give the tool out as I've had one stolen from me before *cough cough* not that I did much about it (what could I do anyways). But why should there not be options ingame other than complain to a higher power? " When such tools are lent, there are agreements done for the return/usage/others. If the agreement is broken by either party, the "victim" can always report/sue/etc. " Ok so say I fail to make this agreement beforehand or it is implied based on the situation that the tool should be returned, and yet it wasnt. Or say I don't have any screenshots or records of my agreement due to loss of information or whatnot. To me as a player of MagicDuel (ingame) I now have to go to the forum (out of game) and post a formal complaint to a higher power with my little to no evidence of why I should be getting my tool back. Asides from the huge public exposure this may cause depending on where I post this complaint (exposure I may not want), this causes me personally a huge disconnect in my playstyle that I do not/often will not take the jump to report the problem as I like to keep ingame things ingame and forum things on the forum. I don't like to mix the two. This may not be a problem for others so much as me but it's still an issue one could have. If that's not a good reason I don't have much else to argue for this idea. It just popped as related to Ungod's topic Handling new players as it helps to get more quests done rather than all the killings be "because I dont like you" or "because I dont like what you did"
