  1. I miss WoW.... MD stole it away from me. (Seeing Dwarven Fortress made me smile. I haven't played that in years, but was so fun. The learning curve is insane on that.) I'd have to add Cantr II and FairyTale Online, but I recently stopped playing those also. Lack of time is seriously impacting the game addictions lately!
  2. What do I play regularly? Hmm, Minecraft, of course. (mostly with the kid on our teeny bukkit server) and the original Starcarft+ Brood War. (sadly, not the SC2 yet, need a better PC and $$) otherwise, random casual games on sites like Armor Games when I need a 20-minute distraction.

  7. Would you consider selling smaller batches? (I know they travel in packs when traded, but if I wanted one or two to enchant some time, and pass them back immediately afterwards, would you accept that method?)
  8. You lose one VE per win, unless Heat is applied. in which case, Heat adds to the damage at a rate of 10 Heat = -1 VE. Hope you enjoy the game. I find it's clunky in clickie-form, but my son and I play it with index cards as a tabletop game, and it flows really well that way.

  10. (I knew that but couldn't stop the snark).... And thus, Stealing your thunder seemed apropos in this thread. :cool: - - - One thought that did come up, to steer back on-topic. With the availability of Ports and Jumps and Legislator Items and such... I'm not sure the "frenzy of activity" would even work very well. It only takes a moment for a player with a fast internet to "steal + Jump + Run" into some high viscosity or "locked" scene and the resource would be gone. Thus, in theory I like the idea of stealing and Retrieval/recovery. In practice, I think there are a LOT of loopholes to exploit, which I've seen already in-person while trying to grab the buckets in MDA. So, keep those in mind perhaps? (edit to add bolding and italics for emphasis)
  11. There's always keys upon clicking (Story mode anyone?), or an array of names on the bush of "this week's Owners".... anywho.... :P I like the idea of stealing and recovering as an idea. The way I read it, the situation No One mentinoed would be avoided by the "ability Cooldown" similar to fighting, so that the "most activity" would read as: *Bush produces a Fruit* *Maebius Harvests a Fruit* *Somebody Steals the Fruit from Maebius* *nadrolski recovers the Fuit from Somebody* -fin- (Maebius ability to harvest is in cooldown, as is nadrolski and Somebody... so no more stealing is possible... unless a forth person runs over and tries to Steal from Nadrolski?) This would work very similarly to the Shared Tools, where a number of people gather at a specific time to try and snatch public tools. In the current case, its' the fastest collection-click that wins. With Mur's suggested idea, others would have a chance to grab something too. With teleports and Jump-to-Leaders, and our usual spells, this would make an interesting (if sometimes frustrating) frenzy of activity. I say, go for it.
  12. Well, I admit I wasnt' aware of the full functionality of the Totemizing feature. I read it as a sort of mini Beastiary for yourself, with only one crit. Seeing it in action now I agree, it could be used as I was pondering, to potentially trade. We'll just have to see how that works out in the final finished form (specifically for Morphs).
  13. (not sure why those images aren't displaying for you, Ackshan. Did you try to refresh the browser?) For those worried about horri-bad bugs, don't be. I played two full games and it picked the wrong card exactly once over 18 rounds. Still can't see the pattern on why/when it happened, though, so if you notice a particular bit of info I would love that. The bugs vex me, and I'm sorry they aren't squished yet. Otherwise, it's also a fun game to play tabletop with friends/kids. I'll mess around with the code a bit more if folks think BattleCards is a neat idea, while I ponder the return of the Mini Monthly Madnesses. :)
  14. Yep, I love the idea. Call them "Howls" instead of PMs. Problems solved. But back to OP, searching by authors would be nice too, for those older messages that get lost in the shuffle.
  15. tl;dr - look for "Battle Cards" at the upper left stone in GoE. I've been fiddling with a little game that works very nicely in Real Life, but has caused me a few headaches over the last month to debug fully, so. You get to help! At the Gazebo of Equalibrium, the rock in the upper left has some "Battle Cards" buried under it. They seem to work mostly correctly, and require you to play with a friend, coordinating yourselves a bit outside the rock itself, but every now and again, they get confused. Your challenge is two-fold. Play Battle Cards with your friends. Try to win at least 10 games over the next week or so. I'll pass out a Silver to anyone who manages to do so, and possibly other minor awards. If you manage to reliably re-create a bug, which helps me fix the darn thing, I have Jokers, and Imps, and Spellstones to toss your way, as well as my everlasting Thanks. ^_^ I was going to make this a Monthly Madness quest, but it's driven me mad with its own oddness. So, like Heads Contest, try for a high score, but remember it may be unfair (due to a bug). Enjoy! (crowdsourced debugging FTW!?) :ph34r:
  16. Agreed, that since we don't all have access to Acoustic REmains and such, I have So. Many. Files. that are simple copy/paste documetns from the chatlogs, taken as we talked, so I wouldn't lose those awesome debates about esoteric topics. (that said, I do understand if it's meant for chat to be more transient like the concept of not PM-ing people unless you are "local" to them. Symbolically, it's a neat idea. jsut not as "convenient", so I would understand if it's kept un-copy-able for now)

  18. I'm glad to see this discussion. Your comments are pretty much exactly why I asked, dst. It's a rather big issue, beyond "oh, just trade a crit". Might have unintended consequences, but I still think it might be an interesting idea. Not convinced it will be best to melt morphs "out of season", though, thus, the topic, in case others love the idea. :)

I like a Day of Combat too, for Balance issues, Every step into a new scene, you are hit by teh new NPC equivilant of Loreroot guards (but different and random attack, or Mur's "Guardian Army"!) ...but now we are just getting silly. I like Tranquil days. They are great for people to go exploring and questing and such, without "fear" of being smacked too hard.

  21. The way I see it, if Mur does anything, it's not quite fair, or quite by the rules. This is NOT to mean against the rules. The rules still apply, if we try. It's a game, and he's the one playing it with us. :) In regards to the quoted announcement "escapes" implies willing exit from the jail, or at least acceptance of the fact one is now "outside". Going back in, would show good faith effort to completing the sentence. But that's my interpretation. Grido has the keys, not me.
  22. Hmm, well, on my tablet, that sort of reolution is just not going to happen, I kinda like being able to scroll vertical, rather than horizontally. And some people do care about Resources, as they are the very reason they are at a particular scene, to harvest them. I could make the same sort of argument for grinders: "You Don't Care about chat, just who to attack", right? Many ways to play, many options, after all. :)
