MD Artworks (former Artisans Guild)

After tired with travian and tribal wars and similar browser games I found MD game. Initially i felt it as a lagging game.... but on course it filled up in my blood, it injected creativity in me to imagine, to write and to draw fantasies and now the custom avatar feature has greatly improved my drawing skills atleast a 3 level up. I am curious as to whether or not we are allowed to make minor changes to our avatars? For instance, add more details to the face, or skin to show age, or progression from recent events?

First of all, you will need Fireworks (has 30 day free trial) http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Macromedia-Fireworks-Download-4641.html once you have it you will need to decide, draw by hand and scan (more work) or make it on the program. Scan method: #1 open your avy in fireowrks #2 resize it to 160(height) and 100 #3 cut it, make shure that the drawning space is uber small, so when you paste, full size of the drawning is the drawning itself, not lots of free white space. make your drawning area 160x100 paste #4 save as JPEG #5 open JPEG in Fireworks #6 eliminate all not wanted pixels, just leave the avatars contures, or the avy colour, that you want …

Last pack of avatars got canceled because who made it got in prison for presenting stolen art as his own. As part of Glordamar team, amoran was supposed to be an artist to provide such drawings, yet last time i received anything from her was looooong loooong ago. I am not depending on Amoran for the avatars as she sais. I only wanted to support and encouradge artists from within the game to build avatars because they are much more in touch with the game world than any other arist i can get here, but if its not possible its no problem , i have many sources if needed. Dear Amoran, (or Trista, since in forum you say you are OOC, whatever you like best) Some things i will tell you are pretty obvious for most except you but since you do so much effort and agitate so much on this matter i will tell you all this (again) so that it will be clearly stated both for you and for those that hear your, sorry the expression, crap. As far as i can see your view on the situation is that you created artworks for MD for 9 month, received RPC status, then you got screwed up and had that status taken away and your reputation trashed. There are now over 450 avys in game, do you see so many players online? I don't. Avatars die together with their owners but right now it requires only a login every 6 month to keep your account active, thats close to nothing. I do not think its fair to keep avatars locked considering so many people could use one. I am not sure what the best thing to do is. My suggestion is to put a requirement or a fee for avys so that only active or paying members can keep their avy. My current price for an avy is 3$, on top of that i do not use all the avys i pay for, they do not recover their price but thats not at all the problem. The problem is that its hard to get fresh avatars…

Credits you say? Make that more like credit cause I already see a possible exploit . And probably the shop will be the best idea. Why? Because of this: I am online when you put up the avis. I buy several on different alts then I use them as trading material (unless....you want to turn avis into currency).

i have an idea of drawing pictures representing events from player's history in MD... i would draw them myself, but cause i have lack of talent for drawing, i want to propose this to the artisans for example: creating the Savelites Church, Raven's leave to the sentinels, apearing of angiens... etc. it would be really nice to see art history page
